What an awesome song by John Lennon I‘m So Tired,this song is totally underrated It should be one of those songs that should be on the number one greatest hits. John Lennon did a tremendous job with a lot of the songs off the Revolver album and the White album. You can tell he put a lot of time and effort into-these two albums.
George and Paul sang harmonies on the first verse of take 14. That sounded beautiful and should have been kept in. I would also not have double tracked John`s vocal. It sounds much better without the double tracking.
I believe this song is about the fact that when Lennon was in India he couldn't do all the drugs he would normally so he was having withdrawal symptoms including not being able to sleep
This is really nice, however my favorite version would have to still go to the one with the Organ and Guitar add ons. Feel like if that version got mixed more correctly that would be the best one 😎🤘
Not a big fan of this version, but appreciate the effort. For one, the chorus doesn't have the same "oomph"... It's a bit faster and doesn't have the same punch as when he starts with, "you'd say", in the original. The other just has a better groove and I definitely prefer the original's vocal takes.
So it's, "And curse Sir Walter Raleigh"! I always thought it was, "And curse my arms around you", which I figured he was saying that he really didn't want to hug somebody (as in, maybe he secretly hated Yoko or something). Sir Walter Raleigh makes a lot more sense 😊
