George had just turned 21 two days prior -- and his guitar work on AND I LOVE HER is stellar - if they had hired the most respected experienced seasoned studio musician to play those parts - they could not have done it better. RIP George and John and George Martin and Mal Evans and Neil Aspinall

Here Comes the Sun.... und erfolgreichster Song, die gecovert wurde Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps' auch. Pauls Yesterday ist ein Plagiat, original heißt der Song Answer me my love und kommt von Nate King Cole

@@jensjanssen5076 Yesterday sounds absolutely nothing like 'Answer me my love'. Not the same chords, not even a similar melody. There are a couple similar words, but hardly enough to consider it "plagiarism". Just because Nat King Cole says "yesterday" in the song doesn't mean Paul stole the song.

How did George discover the opening guitar lick? Instantly recognizable now! In fact, McCartney mentioned in conversation with Rick Rubin that the song is dependent on those four notes. Amazing to see the interest being shown in the Beatles 60 years later. I saw them in concert at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens in 1965 and '66. I was thirteen when I first discovered them and, like so many others, became a musician because of their influence.

As Paul has said on many occasions, first and foremost, The Beatles were just a f***ing good band! Each member of the group had a great feel for a song, even if one of the others wrote it. In this case, Paul came up with an absolutely gorgeous song ("And I Love Her") and then George listened to it.. thought about it.. and then came up with the opening riff that set the mood perfectly. These four guys made magic (especially with the incredible help and guidance of George Martin).

You won't see any Joe because it never happened. None exists, with the exception of the Get Back video. The songs were written for them, the backing tracks recorded by sessions musicians. All the lads had to do was learn the lyrics and stand in front of the mikes. They had reasonable singing voices and good harmony so that was a bonus. They were fine for rough and tumble live gigs where the audience didn't care much how they sounded, but nowhere near good enough for exacting studio work. So in the early days, most of the work was done by others. We were all sold a fairy tale...

I don't think it's heresy, I think it's the truth. The melody is beautiful and the harmonies are Lennon/McCartney at their very best. And this may be heresy but I think Yesterday would have been better if George Martin had left it alone and just let Paul play it on acoustic. Back in the day when cassettes were a thing, I used to isolate the left channel of Yesterday and leave the strings off when I would burn a copy for my mixed music tapes. When it's just Paul plucking it is a much better tune. But that's just me, though I understand John was also not a big fan of George Martin getting in there and orchestrating things up either (he told him as much when they did The White Album I guess). Anyway, If I fell is one of my top five favs so I'm more than okay with your assertion and do not find it heretical in any form or fashion. 👍

Decca thought they were crap. George Martin thought their music was rubbish, they had nothing behind them and hadn't demonstrated any song writing ability. His words, not mine... He turned Epstein down, but then decided to give them an hour of studio time with songs written FOR them. They had nothing of their own worth anything except "Love Me Do" and only then if sessions musicians did the backing and a sessions drummer was used. Andy White in this case. The Beatles seemed to tap into an underground river of melodic richness that had escaped everyone else, or been abandoned as "too innocent or naive". Falsetto had become an anachronistic embarrassment in American music, but John fearlessly restored it. Likewise the Beatles single handedly restored abandoned and childlike terms such as "ooh la la la" to musical relevance. The Beatles restored an innocence and joy to popular music which had been lost, the spirit and liberation of which even revitalized classical music.

Q: Where do these creatures come from who go about looking for Beatle history to give it the thumbs down? Weirdos disturbed by real talent.
@logotrikes

Answer. It was a fairytale. Didn't happen. No video exists of the lads doing instrumental tracks and singing, except Get Back, and that is very ordinary with only barely adequate musicianship. Sure they sang, but they were singing lyrics written for them. All they had to do was learn the lyrics and stand in front of the mikes. Everything else was taken care of by others... The truth is sometimes horrible, but there you go. Manufactured band from the off...

Those songs came into being from professional songwriters. Yesterday is a close copy of a 19th century Italian song. The Beatles wrote almost nothing of their early stuff, up to 1966. It was all done for them as was the backing tracks. All the lads had to do was learn the lyrics and stand in front of the mikes. The writers, the sessions dudes, George Martin and the engineers did the rest. We were all sold a fairytale....

You'll have to provide some proof for these claims that "Lennon and McCartney wrote none of their own music". Undoubtedly the studio guided and polished and marketed them, George Martin even played harmonium behind them, but to say the Beatles were a complete fraud is a claim with no known evidence.

I can imagine them inching through if I fell with George (Martin) coaching John through the warm harmony under Pauls lead line, I doubt John would've naturally found those notes unaided, that's real knowledge/theory stuff that I doubt he'd have the patience/want for

@@jacquelinemamahiggzhiggins2951And all a fairytale. The Beatles were a manufactured band brought into being for a particular social agenda. When you pull back the curtains you see the reality of what transpired from 1962 to 69, and it isn't as you think. I've been a Beatles fan and loved their music for 60 + years, but I am under no illusion that they were the song writing genius's they're purported to be. They weren't. They were a rubbish garage band with nothing behind them and they didn't demonstrate any real songwriting abilities. George Martins words not mine...
