John had poor judgement in Klein, despite being warned by Mick jagger. It just shows that without Brian they were rudderless and could never agree on new management.
Wasn't Jagger showing cowardice by not speaking once Klein was in the audience? He was happy to talk behind his back, but not brave enough to speak out once he was there. Yellow!
Paul also showed poor taste in having a relative represent them. Their concerns that Paul would be favored was a honest concern. It should have been an unrelated 3rd party. Klein was shit, but Paul also was wrong to suggest a soon to be in-law. They should have dropped both and gone with a representative they all could agree on. But hindsight is 20/20 eh?
@@ricopaulson1 You always get the impression Paul and John ruled the roost, made the decisions, and the other two were just backing band. George said he was only allowed two songs on each LP, so he was not equal, and they made the decisions.
What a great video to start the day with. Never understood the need to sit in bed for a week being recorded and saying it's for peace. That's probably the laziest way to promote anything. Lol.
It was inevitable. They would have split up without Yoko being in the picture. They had grown apart and had begun to resent each other. Paul’s work ethic demanded more than the rest wanted to put in. They had each become much more independent and confident and egos became an issue.
They never actually all met again as a foursome in the seventies. I don't think they met again after the final photoshoot at John's Tittenhurst Park mansion in August, 1969.
You are wrong about the official split date being 1970.. It wasn't officially over and completed until John signed off in 1973. They caught up with John at Disneyland at got John to finalise the break up
I was always under the impression that John unofficially quit the group after Abbey Road.I didn't know they were planning another album. This is a very interesting to learn.
Nice concise & pretty accurate video of the Beatles final year together 1969- featuring the infamous Allen Klein (I didn’t know Mick Jagger warned Lennon about Klein) what a year!
So Ironic..Paul went with the Eastmans..the rest went with Klein..look how it turned out..Paul is worth a billion, how much is John's and Georges estate ? don't think it compares with Paul's fortune...Paul was the only one thinking clear at this point in history..
I think it is amazing how Yoko managed to get in all those photos of the band at the end. It is like she was part of the group. She is just sitting there posing like she belongs there. Farce! Why couldn't John realise she was just using him for fame and money? I read George saying he did not think she should be in the studio and telling her to leave. John said he almost hit him, he was so annoyed at how he spoke to Yoko.
Now we have videos on female nature, John never understood what was happening to him. Now most guys understand female nature. She got what she wanted, the money. Paul made the very same mistake with the Mills woman. She gave him the baby now she gets the pay cheque. These rich guys keep falling for the same old game. Her sitting in silence tells me all I need to know. Her presence was so destructive.
I love these Beatles' year video docs! I assume '65 and '66 are coming at some point. Not sure why they are taking longer or got held up. We just wait patiently... Is that your amp demo room or what?? And please tell about your favorite boomers. 🤤
Alice Cooper opens for the Plastic Ono Band , Alice throws a chicken back into the crowd, the hippies kill the chicken, and then throw it back on stage. "The rest is history," Alice Cooper ✌️🤘🏴🇦🇺
I have always loved the greatest band in history, but after John & Yoko married I got my neurosurgeon to lobotomise any memory I had of the ‘hair peace’ nonsense.
Plastic Ono Band's first single was "Give Peace A Chance" in July 1969. Reached #2 in the UK (while "Get Back" and "Ballad Of John & Yoko" were still in the chart).
Yes, would especially like to see a 1964 and 1965 years review, specifically. In support of @tjtanner500 request below. Already checked for those years, but to no avail as of yet...🤞🤞🤞
I had never heard the sessions referred to as the Get back sessions until last year or two when Peter Jackson remastered and edited the recordings.. I always knew them as the Let it be sessions. I've had the dvd for quite a few years and it's titled Let it be
You left out the most important aspect of that September 8 meeting. Paul said NO to John's proposals and went on to say until recently George's songs hadn't been very good (!). That killed he band right there. He was giving John all the incentive he needed to jump ship.
