This year, The Beatles have releaseda new single: 'Now and Then' using restored vocals from John Lennon and George Harrison from when they recorded tests of the song in the 1970s. It is to be the last Beatles single ever.
It would be great to make a video about the life of 80s and 90s singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez! A big thank you for your work I always love your videos 😄😇
I bought my 1st Beatles LP's in 1966 - Rubber Soul and Revolver, then Sgt. Pepper in 67. I still have them with the rest of my over 100 LP's stored away upstairs. I have a large B&W print of them in a frame by my front door - so I see them when going out and coming home 🎵🎸🎶 Thank you James for this lovely tribute of all their musical achievements and a nice touch of 'Hey Jude' in the background score 🥰
Thank you, James! Yeah x3!! By the way, did I ever recount to you, re the time I 'almost' met John at 3 Savile Row, January 1970 (I was approaching my 19th birthday), when I visited Apple Corp HQ, with a wee song I had composed, and had been already been invited by John to a rendezvous? Bittersweet ... in a good way. *However, this accolade is yours, J.* Stay free. All the best. Rab 🍻 😎 🕊 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Beatles move into the Apple headquarters at 3 Savile Row, London, Monday 15 July 1968. The Beatles had purchased 3 Savile Row in London on 22 June 1968, for £500,000. On this day, they moved into the building. 3 Savile Row was the headquarters for Apple Corps, which had previously been based at 94 Baker Street and 95 Wigmore Street. This, however, was the first time they had an entire building to themselves. Each of The Beatles had an office in the Georgian town house. There was a recording studio in the basement, in which much of the _Let It Be_ album was made, and on 30 January 1969 the celebrated rooftop performance was held atop the building. The Beatles spent much of the next 18 months at 3 Savile Row. John Lennon and Yoko Ono ran their early peace campaigns from the building, under the umbrella of 'Bag Productions'. Also working at 3 Savile Row at various times were Neil Aspinall, Mal Evans, Derek Taylor, Peter Brown and Allen Klein. The Apple HQ also became a place for Beatles fans to congregate outside - the legendary Apple Scruffs, as immortalised by George Harrison in song. Apple eventually sold the building in October 1976.
