I played all over these grounds as a child, even went to nursery school on the Country Club basement. Yes I grew up on Hillspring Road,1/2 mile from or so from White Deer Plaza.. Though vast rural areas surrounded the immediate lake community, the community itself of Lake Mohawk had a subtle suburban feel in that not only did we have beach life, but I could also walk to a large movie theater, bowling alley, many restaurants, bakeries, and many other places including different ball fields, courts and playgrounds. The planners thought of everything.. Upper Lake was my favorite swimming area, and maybe beach 6 on Lake Mohawk. That and horseback riding at stables a few miles from the lake.. Decent video. Cheers!
