Afropunk is soo fun...the people are amazingly beautiful...the music incredibly jamming. From start to finish you dont want to leave. Im happy free spirited blacks found a place to call home. All can join tho. Its a beautiful experience.

Did you enjoy seeing Fishbone & Living Colour jamming with Bad Brains? That's the main performance that I wanted to see. I missed Grace Jones & Suicidal Tendencies last year. I'll definitely have to start saving early to go next year.

Everyone is welcome at afropunk. Sure, it's a celebration of the history of people with african ancestry to some sort, as well as the progress we made as a society but everyone with slight interest can join the festival, no worries!

I feel like that is a reflection of yourself--because if you follow Afropunk in any capacity or look it up to see what it's about, then you would know that Afropunk celebrates African heritage in everyone. It's slightly unfair to push an insecurity upon a function that celebrates blackness at every capacity. Just as long as you are there to CELEBRATE and HONOR your blackness, it doesn't matter.
