At the moment it's far too traditional and white. I find beauty in Diversity and Multiculturalism myself! A mosque is just the start to shake a sleepy white privileged town up.
I have visited your town once it is a beautiful place I adore Betty's tea room and I think the Yorkshire Hotel is a very pretty building. My god a mosque would be so inappropriate in Harogate in my opinion.

Is there a town or village that has not got a Turk barber shop that never open’ or empty if open’ why so many? This seems peculiar to me, or are we going to get thousands of Turks coming here for a holiday, is anybody looking at this, probably not, don’t want to be called arayyyyccissst do we!
I also live in Harrogate. The foreigners move in but the locals can't afford it. Crime is on the rise. This is a Christian town. It will remain that way at all costs.

@@chathamdogend4461 they gradually take over. Every business will lose out to them. Remember years ago the ‘to do’s ‘ when the taxi ranks were taken over. It costs a lot of money to enable that. It was St Albans 30 years ago. Luton is just up the road from there.
If this goes ahead, Harrogate will be unrecognisable soon. The same thing happened in Fenham in Newcastle which was a lovely place to live in the 70s. A mainly white area at the time with well kept properties, neat and tidy gardens etc. Once muslims started moving into the area they didn't look after their properties, the neatly cut lawns became over grown with weeds, properties became run down and the property value started to drop. Once the prices dropped. More muslims moved in and houses were shared amongst two or more families. The place is a shithole now. The same thing will hapoen to Harrogate. Watch this space.

I currently live in a "diverse" city, and regularly visit North Yorks. I'm always struck by how the homogeneity of the place and the relative safety of it feels like a real escape, and like being in a time machine from 15-20 years ago. However, I do find myself thinking "it's only a matter of time". Unless we have the sense to start putting restrictions and limits on these things.
This is what happens when we get mass immigration and then our traitorous government and their cronies then start moving these migrants further up north of the country deliberately to ruin towns like Harrogate. In other words they want to destroy towns/cities that have majority indigenous communities.

However, we as a nation should make them feel very welcome and the Government should continue to house them in hotels plus any help from rich people with their big houses would be a great help. When they decide to increase the size of a property, planning rules and regulations are completely ignored. Cobbled together extensions are added on gradually over time and the local planning dept., will turn a blind eye. Neighbours boundaries are encroached upon and if one dares to approach them regarding the issue, one will be accused of racism. My family have been on the receiving end and it is very unpleasant, intimidating and stressful.

This happened in Sunderland. They got an old shop as a mosque now they’ve turned an old warehouse into a mosque nearby and it’s like down town Islamabad now and they are slowly taking over that part of town. No integration at all
