Join us as we witness the breathtaking return of humpback whales to the Santa Barbara channel. Last year's feeding season was full of unforgettable moments, and I can't wait to see what this year has in store.
What makes these feeding frenzies truly remarkable is the incredible cooperation between predators. Common dolphins, sea lions, and sea birds gather in enormous groups while humpbacks feast on football-sized fields of anchovies. But despite the abundance of prey, these predators don't interfere with each other, creating a stunning natural ballet.
Witnessing this display of cooperation is a real privilege. In the Santa Barbara channel, the survival of the fittest isn't always the only course of action.
