@@Mousagetes Pope Benedict XVI didn't do a reform, but he used to celebrate Novus Ordo very well. Both traditional and Novus Ordo are good when well celebrated.
Pope Benedict the best lovely pope on the Earth ever. He is a real Church Father next Saint Augustine. We are all blessed to be wittnes his life and hus wonderful teachings and love for Jesus Christ and his Church.
@@vitoralvesrs The pope emeritus is obviously a very intelligent man, he survived the cesspit of the curia for years so he had the necessary political acumen but - with the benefit of hindsight - he surrounded himself with the wrong people. He was more a traditionalist than pope Francis, yet it was he who had the faith and the moral courage to realise he had not the right profile to clean up the financial Augeas stables of the Vatican and he broke with a 600 year tradition. I have the utmost respect for the man, his teachings and his decision to take a step back.

@@vitoralvesrs I’m absolutely not criticising him for his resignation. I admire him for taking that step. I don’t understand why he selected cardinal Bertone as his Secretary of State. In Belgium, he appointed André-Joseph Léonard archbishop, a man who was not on the list of three names the papal nuncio forwarded. I do understand why he placed so much emphasis on a proper liturgical setting, but the camauro, the red slippers and the pompous papal throne had nothing to do with the veneration of God but a lot with the veneration of man. I don’t need a pope who is riding in a Ford Focus but bringing back that throne was just ridiculous.

We have images of Mass at the Altar of the Chair so it would be fine if the pope didn't face the people. Also, probably in Benediction it is customary to be in front of the Altar, and that is what they do. I hope that that Bread up there is really Jesus.

Il cerimoniale è perfettamente funzionale alla liturgia. La liturgia è fatta di segni con precisa valenza teologica ed il cerimoniale li sottolinea tramite rubriche necessarie. Quella di Papa Francesco non è povertà, è sciatteria liturgica.
