Thank you for the reaction Harri. I believe this was from their last studio album as a group. I love that Maurice got to shine in this. He was so talented in his own right but was often the third Bee Gee no one recognized. He played multiple instruments and could also do high harmonies. I read that he wrote this song for the album and both his brothers said no its your song you sing it. ❤❤❤❤ To you Harri and the besties
Harris, mo wrote this when he quit drinking, for his family. Mo was always the man in the middle of Barry and Robin. They would argue and mo would tell them to stop. Love. Mo. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Maurice was the perfect man in the middle of The Bee Gees, always thought he was really cute, he should be proud of this tune. R.I.P. Maurice and Robin🕊🕊 Thanks Harri, always appreciated.
The most unique voices in the world incredible talents all 3 brothers shown here , now only Barry Gibb the eldest survivor of the 4 brilliant siblings Robin , Maurice, Andy the youngest of the 4 brothers 3 have passed bless them all their music will live on forever 🙏
I am so glad you finally got to a Mo lead. I also wanted you to hear something from the 2000's. I love Mo's voice, and his expertise at coming up with the chord progressions to help form the songs. The lyrics here, I believe, are quite personal to him - almost an apology to his family for some earlier behavior. It's strong and emotional. I love it.
Maurice also does lead on Walking on air from this album and earlier songs Closer than close, Hold her in your hand and lay it on me. Thank you i love this song❤❤❤
Closer Than Close is my favorite Maurice lead. Maurice was the man in the middle between two ambitious brothers, musically and personally. After he died, Barry and Robin pretty much stopped working together and drifted apart.
I’ve never heard this beautiful song by Maurice♥️💙thank you so much Catherine for this gift 💝 and Harri for such wonderful reaction💙will forever love The Bee Gees♥️♥️♥️
From their 22nd album, ," This is Where I Came In", Maurice delivered the great lead vocals. A blues driven tune this is personal song for Maurice, with lovely harmonies and great instrumentation. Their body of works represents some of the most popular music recorded, and is a soundtrack for a whole generation. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Catherine. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I loved this album for all of them showing their individuality together. Probably one of the last CDs I bought. I personally loved it ..loved the sound loved them evolving again. As always I love your commentary! ❤❤ To you from Cat in Indiana
Please react to "Railroad" (1970) which features Mo's beautiful baritone voice!! Also , Mo sings the lead in "Wildflower" (1981)- a tenor lead - so beautiful!! They all have amazing range💕💕💕 Great reaction Harri!💖
I read this song was about his alcohol struggle and was dedicated to his wife. He is the epitome of cool here. Vocals and instrumental both on point. Talented man. I also love his smile at the end of video. Such a child like quality in that smile. Very endearing.
Mo got the black guitar he's playing as a birthday present from Lennon back in his late teens. Great song, he was in the middle between Barry and Robin when they had creative differences it is said.
Great factoid about the guitar I have heard the same as he was his neighbor. All accounts even when he was at his low point he was still the buffer between his brothers. I like to recognize great artists and he was ❤
@catherinedorney6092 There is no doubt that Mo was an incredible talent. It is said that he could play a dozen different instruments although he didn't play them on stage. He enjoyed playing music with Barry and Andy just for fun. It would be great to be a fly on the wall to listen to those family jam sessions.
Thank you for the reaction. This song is one of my favorites from this group of songs which I feel have been overlooked. Maurice and Robin gone too soon after.
I loved this song, and there are more songs on albums, where Maurice was singing, and it is worth to listen to too !!! His voice was also really comfortable.
Yes Maurice has a deep voice and getting more and more talented in instrumental playing in the band.Robin ,the elder twin, Robin has the highest unique vibrato.Barry has the incredible ... tip toed smoothly technique falsetto....each brother has their own unique talents....😊❤
Maurice was the man in the middle between the top dogs Barry and Robin. The peacemaker when the brothers have quarreled. That's how he kept the band together.
The brothers wrote most of their songs together. Mo and Barry wrote the lyrics to Immortality in 5 mins. When Mo went into rehab the brothers stopped writing completely until Mo came home. They were all so talented and sadly Mo does not get the credit the other brothers got. He could play any instrument and like his other brothers could not read or write music.
There are a lot of good reactors out there, but Harri is the best! He's always objective and fair, and creative in his reactions as well. He really resonates with the music and is good at describing those feelings in depth naturally. I can't help but think Harri would be a good songwriter, and musician.
Harri, I've just binge watched your Glenn Campbell reactions which are great. Can I recommend you check out Classical Gas, try one of the earlier versions with less orchestral accompaniment which tends to drown out Glenn's amazing guitar playing. Keep on doing what you do, its great stuff my friend.
Sixty years ago today, The Beatles landed in the USA for the first time, opening the door for the "British Envision" of music. Without them, there could be no Bee Gees!
It was the Beatles who opened the door for the so-called British Invasion in 1964. The Bee Gees were still in Australia then, and didn't return to England until 1966. They first visited America in 1967. I speak as a big fan of both bands. What sort of jerk doesn't like the Beatles?
