I agree. Unfortunately, American public, or should I say, the radio programmers back then didn't want anything to do with them. The backlash was still on full force. It would take another few years before they would have another hit in America.

If you watch the video closely Robin isn't playing the instrument he is just holding it for the filming of video. Robin only played the piano.

I was shocked to see Robin playing an instrument. I knew they all played instruments but I just hadn't seen Robin play one. These guys are super talented.

Robin played several musical instruments and played them well. I know he played the piano and guitar.

I've read, watched, and researched everything I can find on this band and have never seen or read anywhere that this had ever happened. Just another made up lie to make Robin out a victim. Why? Robin was a grown man who could stand up and speak up for himself. He was in no way a victim. And he praised his father many times for leaving his job and sacrificing everything to manage he and his brother's dream of being famous and always having their backs.

I do not agree that Barry is the only Bee Gee. There are 2 others. He could not have done it without Robin and Maurice.

@@นวลพรรณศาสตร์เวช I think everyone forgets that Robin and MO were very young when they first started singing. But that did not mean they were stupid or ignorant about their wants in life. Also, when Robin left the group in 1970, how did that work out for the other brothers? Not well at all. Also, Robin was an excellent songwriter, and did not get the praise he deserved. They all need praise for their accomplishments.

We may not have had the "Bee Gees," but we still would have had Robin. MO, too. They could have performed solo. If you watch live intetviews, Barry was definitely no role model for his brothers. Barry is performing without his brothers today. Would this be without Robin and MO? Barry will always be considered a Bee Gee. I think you forget that Barry's solo career did not go well. Robin's did better. However, they were awesome as a threesome. I'm not a Barry fan, and never will. I don't like his voice or his dominance during interviews. He appears to me as a control freak. I watched Rob and MO during an interview. MO did most of the talking, but you could see the respect they had for each other. Barry was not at that interview. Robin and MO felt comfortable or at ease while answering questions.

I think so too, and think that was so respectful of them as he was the eldest and the de facto leader of the band. It seems he only wanted success for them all. And as the eldest, I can relate, you naturally take on that leadership role or are placed in it and grow into it. I think they were beautiful together and love seeing these old interviews.

I'm sure they did respect him although not necessarily because he was the eldest. That hardly matters once all concerned were adults. t They probably also knew the pointlessness of competing with Barry and a microphone. I saw one interview where Robin was asked a question and Barry immediately answered The interviewer asked him right out why he answered for .Robin who was known to be able to speak. The end result was that Robin never did answer the question because the interview went off track and became all about Barry and his bottomless well of generosity towards his shiftless brothers. I say that last bit mostly because I wanted to use the word "shiftless".

Funny you should mention the soul-selling to Satan because just yesterday I read a comment that accused them of doing exactly that. I can't recall if it was the same person who shows up occasionally and tries to teach us that the Bee Gees we see in these clips are not the Bee Gees just replicants f them. The reasons why, who, when and where this dastardly deed was done are not apparent to me.
