This is genuinely my favorite review I have ever seen you make. This also shows why you are the best out there giving their reviews.

This review is so comforting. I'm not the only person who felt this way. My favourite thing about the movie is that Jason Statham has a rule about never using a gun to kill anyone. It is never explained why but this is treated like a build up to a reveal about his past. This is never explained. Then in the third act he indiscriminately shoots everyone. This is also never explained.

Putting Mini Driver in a movie for 2 scenes and then forgetting about her seems to be in her contract. She and Djimon Hounsou are the most wasted actors.

“It’s the kind of movie that should never be released and also released 5 times a year.” Sold! Now I have to watch this!

I didn't even notice the 2 repair men fixing the leak from the ceiling until you mentioned it now 😂

This review has the energy of a Dan Rant and I adore it.

I wanted this movie to just be Jason Statham obliterating hapless bad guys for two hours. And I got Jason Statham obliterating hapless bad guys for two hours. I wish the last couple Equalizer flicks were half this much fun.

If the beekeeper is doing great at the box office hopefully there's gonna be a sequel and I want to see Nicholas Cage in The Beekeeper 2 as a villain and picture this when Jason Statham release a swarm of bees and Nicholas Cage say the iconic line from the terrible Wicker Man remake and a reference to Irwin Allen's The Swarm

I was already considering seeing this movie, because I generally know what I am getting into for a Jason Statham action movie, and this review confirmed that I will go and see it.

I absolutely loved this movie. You are soooo correct about how insanely crazy this is. I loved how it also had some John Wick High Table thing going on too. Like Beekeepers have their own mantra and ways of doing things. Ultimately it’s a great January film and I recommend people go see it, if not for all the things Dan talked about but just that it’s a wildly good time.

After watching the review, I feel like Dan said everything you needed to know in the first minute. This does sound like one of those ridiculous 80's or 90's action films that had just the most ridiculous premises that existed only to serve up action set pieces. And honestly, being a 90's kid, I'm here for it.

I remember seeing a commercial about this movie, and I thought it was a interesting film with the action scenes. But, once the name of the film was revealed, I was like “ What the…??” I couldn’t help but laugh. So, by the sound of your excitement and anger, I had a feeling this film was going to be that insane.

As a Brit, Dan’s Stathe accent was absolutely awesome. Love it.

Everything just fades out to black in this review for me, and a flashing light shines while a bullhorn blares out saying “Go see this immediately!” Exactly the type of movie I needed.

I was so excited for this slop, yet I dont know why. the meg 2 and The Beekeeper are like parodies of the movies jason used to make, just so out there. no hate, I just love how bombastic his projects have gotten.

I work for the government and I can tell you the scene at the FBI office is 100% accurate to real life. The buildings are always falling apart and repairs are constantly needed. It’s a budget thing, I did laugh at this scene myself lol.

What better cover for a "Beekeeper" than being an actual beekeeper? That's the ultimate in plausible deniability! Obviously, slightly less plausible when you kill somebody with a paper clip...

I watch every single video that you post up Dan and this has got to be one of my favourites, I laughed out loud a good few times especially the duel rating. I thought the trailer looked awful and didn’t appeal to me but you may have convinced me just from this review to just watch it!

I will probably be a "stay away" from the Beekeeper, but I'm sure some people will say, like you Dan, " You must go. It will be such a terrible experience you will be able tell your grandchildren about it".

So we got an action movie starring Jason Statham from the director of Suicide Squad (2016) released in January? Yep, got all the makings of a bad movie (which is a shame, considering I think Statham is actually a more entertaining actor than some may give him credit for.)

This has to be one of the best reviews you have ever given. I want 😫 to see this movie so badly now! The comments on Ayer's directing, the South African accent, the dialogue on Statham's accent and the character who disappears 40 seconds in - hilarious 😂

The Beekeeper is one of those movies that you watch drunk or high with your buddies and just laugh your ass off. In other words, it sounds like a David Ayer movie.

I never thought of seeing this movie until now, but this review makes it sound too interesting to miss.

The actor who played the South African with the ridiculous accent is English ... but lived in S.Africa. And I loved every bloody moment of screen time that he had.

I hadn't heard of this, but my wife and I went to see it on your recommendation. We both had a blast, so thank you! This was such a wild ride, especially since the marketing managed to hide the big twist. (Cool character too, it was hard to guess the arc there.) I am still in awe at the absolute sincerity and gravitas that they delivered here. It's one thing to use "to Bee or not to Bee" with a straight face, but setting it at a key confrontation moment was just completely nuts. What a movie.

Just got back from the theater where I saw The Beekeeper. I didn't even notice the repairmen in the back of the scene fixing the water leak. This movie was insane! Please make 50 more of them. Dan's review is spot on!

Jason cared more for the mom than her daughter. She didnt even cry when she killed herself. Even her partner said look the other way. Really hated her almost as much as the scammers.

I went to see it tonight because Showcase cinemas had a deal where I could watch it for a fiver. I thought it was hilarious for much of the stuff Dan picks up on. I overhead one woman haughtily declare afterwards “well I felt that was rather far fetched” which could be the dictionary definition of litotes. I particularly loved how all the fights were shot close in to avoid the otherwise obvious fact there were dozens of people not being attacked who could pop him with a head shot at any moment. Not that it matters in the least I would just make a slight adjustment, Jeremy Irons isn’t playing the father, just an ex CIA head who Hutcherson’s mother had a thing with and who leads the family’s security team.

For the most part, I tend to universally agree with your reviews. So that being said, I'm very excited to see this one this weekend. Haha

7:35 - you need a “David Ayer Movie” entry on your scale. Must See / Avoid is exactly how I would describe End of Watch, Fury and Suicide Squad. This cannot be blamed on coincidence or the studio system. His movies contain iconic moments and stuff that should never be on film 🍗

That scene in FBI officer that Dan talks about.... I think it makes sense if you think about how shitty their government office vs the glitzy offices of the bad guys. Bad guys rolling in dough with cool offices, good guys sucking it up in crappy ones. I also noticed how the bad guy drinks "oatmilk" etcetc. Lol.

Honestly, this review has intrigued me to go see it more than anything else. My best friend try to tell me, it was a good movie, but I did not believe him. But to tell me, the movie is both awful and amazing at the same time, that I can get behind.

As a beekeeper I found this film hilarious especially when he keeps telling everyone he is a beekeeper which is a thing beekeepers do. Who thought you could use honey like napalm ??? I also loved the South African baddie cliche with the outrageous hair cliche.

i thought it was terrible but i loved it, enjoyed every minute and every bee pun. i wasn't bored once and it flew by but it was all entertaining because of how bad it was

Yo Dan, idk if you’ll see this but the movie DOES explain why he is a Beekeeper, he works with those specific Bees because one of their traits is self-sacrifice for betterment of the hive which is what he as a government Beekeeper is meant to do.

I would honestly love to see crank 3 in the style of how insane this film and the meg 2 have been.

This was awesome - simply a Statham film that harks back to old 90s action film. Enjoyed this so much more than Expendable 4 and Meg 2.

Given how David Ayer said he wanted this movie to feel like the action movies he loved as a kid I totally believe most of the cheese in this is intentional. Kinda excited to see it.

I've also been trying to figure out if to go and watch it cause it looked stupid, cliche and just like - Wat(??) - but also Action packed, too confident and sure of itself that you think, surely there must be something there right!? --- And this has encapsulated all that.
