This is one of the best Darby O'Gill songs, looked for it on here for years before I found this one. Thanks! I don't know if it would be too much to ask, but the Darby O'Gill version of The Irish Ballad seems to be missing as well...
beer is great and all but the ending of this song is underrated 7:46 "We'll drink-a-drink-a-drink to Lilly-the-pink-the-pink-the-pink, the savior of the human race! She invented marijuana, most efficacious in every case!"
Is it though? I mean yes it is, but if you combine beer with something beautiful like friendship or music it can really bring people together. Though, they probably won't remember it the next day
I'm glad my parents never heard me listening to this- they say the irish part of my blood has an alcohol problem, *i listen to irish drinking songs at least 3 times a month* they might be right
Greetings! Thanks for uploading this, a friend of mine wanted me to hear it but I couldn't find it anywhere, Would you be able to upload The Irish Ballad by Darby O'Gill? I have been looking for it I think over a year and I haven't been able to find it anywhere, any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
cant exactly remember i think he said squirrels in one of his songs so they had a bet or something where if he said squirrels in another one of his songs he had to buy the whole room drinks
NO SQUIRRELS! Just an inside joke by the band. Not sure where it came from, but listen to The Rattlin' Bog and you'll get a little more about squirrels.
Eyy you filled a void! Thanks! Have you got "Jack Tar" and/or "Old Mary Catherine Bridgette O'Gill" by chance? Those don't seem to exist on youtube either.
