So I've been interested in learning how to do smokey eyes for a while. Every tutorial I watch is just too much. A gazillion different creams, primers, instructions, brushes, etc. I seriously can't. And you just did it. I think I understood what I have to do.

I’ve literally watched 200 videos on RU-vid about how to apply eyeshadow....finally on the 200 & 1, I came across your video...EXACTLY the simplest explanation & most understanding video of all! 🙏 Thank you so much!!!

Beautiful human being, he is such a talented artist. I love his charm and polite demeanor. He has such a comforting gentle tone when he speaks. He takes away the anxiety and hopelessness when it comes to makeup application. I am so intimidated by makeup. I'm a redhead with a fair complexion and freckles I have been bullied for my entire life. Even as an adult people say nasty things to me but this wonderful soul has taught me some simple techniques and it has made a world of difference to my confidence and self esteem. I know this comment will get lost in the sea of so many other ones but I want to say thank you. I wish I could hug you and kiss your gorgeous cheek. My hero.

This is great even though it's 7 years on. It explains where to start, which shades to apply where where and for what reasons. It's logical and simple, which is something as a beginner I can work with. Thank you xx

I love this. I'm absolutely incompetent with make up and it worked on the first try in under 10 minutes. Ffs, I cant believe I did that on my own eyes without looking like a clown afterwards. Normally it takes me at least an hour and a lot of correction to look only half as decent. You, Sir, are a wizard!

My hooded eyes are exactly like yours and this is the first time I've found a makeup tutorial that actually helps me! I'm terrible at makeup and usually stick to using my finger to smear on a shimmery neutral on my eyelid, but this tutorial was easy and non-stressful. My outcome actually matched yours and I feel beautiful for the first time. I was just wandering through makeup land on youtube and came across this. I was today years old when I realized I have hooded eyes. WOW. (I'm mid 30s... wow)

Hands down the best, easiest tutorial for hooded eyes. Very wearable & beautiful!

It took me a solid 30 years to figure out that I need to do my make up for my specific face, and that I needed to follow tutorials specifically for hooded eyes! There are so many things that work great for other eye shapes that just plain don't work for hooded eyes and vice versa. This tutorial is so simple and super helpful.

You have the best tutorial for hooded eyes. A lot of them tell you to take the shimmer/glitter above the crease line which I’ve never liked. Because of your tutorial I have been able to achieve a Smokey eye for hooded eyes which I’ve never been successful at 🙌🙌🙌

You're technique here works very well, IF there isn't that much space between the crease and eyebrow. I need to use another, lighter color above the original crease color and blend those two together, before I go to the highlighter. And, yes, your brushes really do make the technique much, much easier. Thanks for the video.

As a baby queen with zero experience (Well today will be fourth round of playing with make up to be more accurate.) the no verbal explanation for anything going on moves this more into the sophomore year category as opposed to freshman. I've bookmarked this though and will definitely give it another go in a few months once I have some of the beginner's basics down.

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOU WAYNE, my eyes are not hooded, but very small almond shaped, the smokey eye makes me look like I have too much eye makeup, so I toned it down WITH THIS TECHNIQUE YEARS AGO, just by trial and error, I CANT BELIVE YOU DID TUTORIAL ON IT!! It looks so pretty, but my eyes are really deep set and all the beautiful shading and blending gets lost in the socket. I don't want to make them look any deeper than they are, plus the older I get the smaller my eyes look. Would you do a tutorial for deep set eyes? Thanks.
