I haven't watched this yet, but I know by the end of it I'm going to want to quit my job, sell all my things, and go on my own biking adventure. Love the videos.
and lose all you have and be homeless when your motorcycle breaks down or you run out of money because you have no supporters like she has. It takes money to do what she and others do. you have to have backers to support you no matter what. 🤔
@@kennedymutinda4806 Then don't watch and enjoy her videos. She is not demanding support from anyone. She doesn't even mention it by mouth. What is 5 or 10 or 15 usd?? 🤔
The Long (?) awaited New Zealand episodes ... and damn Runa, you kicked the first one of in a awesome way. Your storytelling, filming, driving and editing skills are still evolving in such an amazing way. Loved every second of it ... can't wait untill the next episode. I keep saying it ... your spoiling us ... 👌🥰👍
@@MemoryLaneCinema what is wrong with that? many do it and I have done it a few years ago. It helps her out to enjoy what she does and what we enjoy watching and her kindness shows. You can't take it with you. 😁 you must be one of the ones who gave this video a thumbs down. Go figure. duh. It's not $50.00 or $100.00. $25.00 is average.
@@MemoryLaneCinema Yes, you really do need to give an answer. Obviously you are a millennial or gen x or Gen z. "everybody owes me, I'm number one, me first and "not my job." The w.o.r.t.h.l.e.s.s. generations. Go serve your country or your community. No one owes you anything. Help your neighbor. Do a kind deed. Life is not about you. It's about serving others.
PS. I am filled with admiration for how well-equipped and prepared you are. I wish I had a list of the things you suggest any rider would take on long journeys. Of course the camera equipment would not be necessary, but the Mosco gear looked great.
Oh my goodness I can’t believe I’ve just found your channel and you arrived in my town of Cambridge ❤ Welcome welcome to our awesome New Zealand 🇳🇿I’ve ridden all the roads your riding so I’m loving the revisit 😊
Greetings Runa! In this season-opening Vid, I am so glad to find you’ve finally taken my advice and sorted the geometry of the face camera angle with the top of the windscreen... about an 86.382% improvement to down-the-road viewing quality (rib rib ;-) With this, I am re-subscribed and looking forward to your sharing of NZ riding. Appreciate the excellent collective camera work, production and personality. Adding the tall rear-camera-tree shots is koool, too. Ride On, Bro !!
A little late I know but welcome to New Zealand and I hope you enjoyed your time here in my wonderful country. Thank you for showing the world some of our fantastic scenery. I’d like to also commend you on your bravery to travel around the globe to see our country and maybe you might come see more of what New Zealand has to offer. 😊😊
New to your channel……you are brave to go by yourself. Love that you are taking life by doing all the fun things. Experiences are more important than possessions. Keep safe. Thanks for sharing.
That is so awesome, I am happy for you to see NZ. It would be cool if you ran into Chris Birch while you are there. Some of the best riders in the world come from that area of the world. Must go see the rest of this trip!
Hi runa , well done , excellent first episode, love the enthusiasm you showed after such a long journey to get there , it looks stunning on my big tv , no phone watching for me 🧐!! Looking forward to the rest , we will all be in for a treat if the rest is anything like the first one !! Be safe and keep up the excellent work, regards from the uk 🇬🇧 ❤
What a beautiful intro to a great country, Runa. Been there in the 80's while working on a ship. The people make the country even more beautiful. It's very impressive to see the mix of people and respect for the original inhabitants and how everyone embraces Maori culture. Really looking forward to the series. Cheers.
What a start Runa, just incredible👌Stunning landscapes and great weather, what's not to like?😁This is going to be a brilliant series👍What a lovely couple also😊
Nice vid Runa, it was funny your first stop at the Bombay Z service station is my local go to for snacks and the cafe in Whakamaru is my last stop on my motorcycle to Mangakino . me and a group did a north island trip in Jan 2023 just before cyclone Gabriele, we went down the East coast from Auckland to Cape Palliser then back up the west coast. absolutely spectacular scenery and the roads were in good condition. there is so much to see here in NZ you may find a month is not enough. if you find yourself here again you should put the word out the motorcycling community here is very welcoming. have fun can't wait to see the next vid.
Hi Runa. I have been patiently waiting for this video since you first announced your intentions to visit NZ. I hope you enjoyed your time here. My big dream is to visit Norway and I hope that I get to do that some day. I look forward to future episodes of your adventures here.
Nice to see New Zealand from a motorcycle. We did the north and south islands with a 4x4 many years ago, so seeing your trip now is something special and we've been looking forward to it since your announcement when you left. Thanks for bringing us along. G
What a great little video. You popped up as a suggestion on RU-vid and I’m glad the algorithm worked that way. You have such a pleasant and relaxed style. Keep it up. And come to Australia next!
Just stumbled across your video working from home just outside of Auckland its now winter and the morning rides into work are getting much cooler. We had a beautiful summer this year, you picked a perfect time to explore. Massive kudos to your editing and footage they amazing you really showed off the beauty of our country. Instant subscriber!!😁
Your trips are so calming and scenic , and now New Zealand - one of the most beautiful of countries and friendliness people. Glad to be traveling with you on this adventure. from Vancouver , Canada.
The Camera position behind the fairing works great Runa. I may have shed a tiny tear when I saw that brand new Norden 901 waiting for you outside the Husqvarna office, what a joy for you. So good to see all those beautiful green rolling hills again, such interesting landscape, I felt like I was back there again for another holiday. In 2002, my first visit to NZ, I was shocked to see about 30 roadkill in about 1km on the road near Queenstown and was also told they were Possum. At one point I read NZ had about 80 million feral possums. There was a thriving trade of possum products in the souvenir shops on the south island, like possum fur socks etc, but very expensive. Thanks in advance for all the hours of editing you are doing to share these terrific NZ videos, love it. 'Till the next one, cheers Runa. 🤩🤩🦘🦘🦘
Brilliant video again! I’m sure it will get even better when you reach the South Island. I rented a motorbike in February 2010 for two weeks camping in the South Island. Really looking forward to seeing more. You make fantastic videos with great detail, very pleasant to watch. Well done you. 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for a great production, an infectious smile , excellant photography in a beautiful country. That Husqvarna Norden 901 is a really nice adventure bike. Sadly, starting my eight decade on the planet, the large bikes are just heavy for me to lift so I settled on middle weight.
We ride on the left in the UK. The usual greeting to other bikers is a sideways nod and we also stick out a right leg to say thanks if someone pulls over and lets you pass. Loved this episode and looking forward to the next one. Ride safe.
I am happy to be with you on this new journey. Be safe and travel well. Your photography seems to be on spot. I enjoy the look from the 360 camera. Take care and enjoy New Zealand.
Just a futher cautionary tail regarding jet lag. After a mere 5 hr flight east from Vancouver to Toronto. Driving the additional 2 hrs home from the airport I too felt wide awake and alert. I have felt much more tired driving many times before. HOWEVER! I learned quickly that Jet Lag is a very real thing even if you think it is not affecting you. While feeling perfectly alert, I realized thatI HAD DRIVEN RIGHT PAST MY EXIT and had to continue for another 10 minutes to the next overpass to turn around and head back home. I then suddenly realized that I HAD DRIVEN PAST MY EXIT AGAIN! I drove an extra 40 minutes to get home that night. I will never underestimate the affects of jet lag again and that is why I scheduled a full day walking tour of Reykjavík, before even picking up bike in Iceland despite having only 6 days till the flight home. We had to cut a large chunk out of our itinerary due to lack of time, but I never for one moment regreted that first day. On a bike, one moment of lost concentration can ruin, not only an entire trip, but all the trips to come. Please take care Runa, I want to be still following your adventures when I am unable to ride anymore myself.
👍Remember Runa...Keep to the LEFT and I'll be Happy !...Beautiful scenery in NZ !..... I got a bit Misty when I realised you were now on MY side of the world ! Looking forward to your travels in the Country that's next to mine !....Please stay SAFE and UPRIGHT and love from Australia 🏍🦘🇦🇺🌹
I am so happy for you, what a place I’ve always read about and nothing could be better than exploring it all on two wheels, you are a wonderful host that’s why I like following you, your attitude about all is what motorcycling is all about, as we say here in the states, it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey, be safe out there, there is another person I follow and is an Australian, he to has left the mainland to explore New Zealand, his name is Joe Rogan I think is his last name, tent camper, maybe you two will cross paths, you take care and enjoy this amazing place. Rob U.S.
Runa! Awsome that we are finally getting to see what you were up to in NZ. I was a bit concerned that you jumped right on the bike immediately after a 36 hr flight. Especially when switching to driving on the left. I have only done two motorcycle trips involving 5-6 hr East/West flights. In both cases, I planned the first day off the bike to adapt to jetlag and recover from the flight. I was glad to see that you were not driving in traffic that first day.
Hi Greg! It's good to be back, hopefully on a regular basis 😃 I too, was concerned about jumping on the bike so quickly, but I felt surprisingly well rested after getting some good sleep on the flights! Luckily it all went well 😊
Yay! I've been waiting for this ever since you announced you were going to New Zealand. I've been lucky enough to take a couple of motorcycle trips there and it's my favorite place in the world. You've already ridden some very familiar roads, and I look forward to following you on this trip! Thanks for taking us along!
Being from the USA I felt your wrong side of the road move. I’m afraid I would have been that same way. Good video, and my first time catching you. Thanks!
I missed your videos Runa. Great you are doing something COMPLETELY different. I think the "fluffy" vegetation you showed us we have a lot of here in North Carolina and it's called Pampus Grass. I wonder if it's the same...enjoy your trip. Will be watching
It's good that your New Zealand series is coming out now and not in the winter. I'm getting travel fever from seeing this now. But seeing this in wintertime had made the fever boil over 🤣
Been looking forward to this series and a great start. I toured the North Island over 10 years ago and loved it. My 901 is in the garage ready for some mini adventures here in Scotland
Fantastic video. Look forward to the next episode. I an Scottish and live in Edinburgh and the scenery in Nee Zealand looks very similar to here - just sunnier😊 Enjoy
