Well I definitely appreciate you watching and giving us a chance to pass along the information. Thank You for leaving a comment. We really appreciate that.
Awesome interview and great information Cody ! Thanks for sharing this with us . You’ve just helped a lot of walleye anglers and the walleye themselves !!
I really enjoyed this one. Generally not being from MN the reports although great don't apply much to me but this was very educational and good knowledge. Awesome job!
Great information and interview Phil! Remember the barotrauma depths were walleye specific. Each species of fish have different depth cutoffs/safe zones!!!!
Have you guys done one on a river system? Id love to learn the sciencw behind them in that habitat. I would also love a compaeison vidoe where you explain whats different behaviors between river walleyes and lake walleyes. Great info i learned from this vid! Thanks so much
Very well done and informative production. In regards to the pressure factor of fish, particularly more noticeable on crappie - Negative effects of bringing up these fish(crappie ) from deeper water is especially noticeable after about 18 feet. It seems that barometric pressure plays a part in how deep the negative effect takes place, sometimes 18 feet is ok, sometimes 22 feet is, or isn't. Most fish can be saved from "the float" when releasing by throwing at least 6 feet in the air - the shock of hitting the water will send almost all straight down, with little negative impact- I have caught the same fish later in the day from the deeper water. Just sharing. Again, very enjoyable video!
@@After5Outdoors ya it's been a mess no doubt but if ya hit Rainy need a hand with anything or can point ya to some good spots shoot me message on here
The south end of the lake Canadian side had very little fishing pressure last year due to Covid and large numbers of American and other tourists being held away, I expect much the same for this year.
Excellent interview. Our family built our resort 50 years ago. We’ve seen lots of cycles and changes in Lake of the Woods fish and wildlife in those 50 years. This was a great walleye science interview. Thank you for not including emotions and politics. In this video. Keep up the good work.
I really appreciate the response guys! I hope the next 50 years on LOTW are filled with even better memories than the last 50! Where abouts are you located on the Lake?
