Lamont thanks for covering this case, it just screams Florida!! Florida DCS is known to be one of the worst. I researched this case, and you are so right there was way too many opportunities for these kids to be removed from that horrible home. I also read that this monster hated his grandchildren and talked openly about it. Too bad he killed himself escaping justice, cause Florida would have fried him, what a coward.

A friend of mine is a 911 dispatcher and the agencies test them out on situations like this to see if they can handle it.

The guy was so calm and matter-of-fact, like he was ordering take out.

I can tell you first hand their lives were hell way before this. I lived under the shadow of man just like this that I had the misfortune to call my father. He constantly waved guns in my face, my mother's face and my two year old sisters face. Constantly threatened to kill us and then himself. Laid awake many nights waiting to hear his foot steps come down the hall to kill me. I would keep the window open and my bed near the window so if I heard him shoot my mom and sister first, I could jump out the window and run. My teachers at school would ask me why I was sleeping in school and I was afraid to tell them. I was afraid there would not be complete follow through. Afraid authorities would just question him and send me back and then he would seriously hurt me or kill me and the test of my family. I can tell you first hand Lamont what possesses someone to do this, complete and utter control of your family. Micromanaging them, complete submission from them. This is were it leads. This is why I hate rules, I hate Dudley Do Rights, this is why I am not strict with my children and I get very resentful of anyone trying to be strict or impose any kind of control over me. Some parents like to brag how they are strict and run every aspect of their child's life. They think it makes them look tough or cool. My dad sure thought he was tough and cool. I bet you Don Spirit was either molesting those kids or had fantasies of molesting those kids. To be that overly involved and consumed with your child involves a element of incest, even if never acted upon. I firmly believe parents like this either at a conscious or subconscious level have a sexual desire towards their kids. It is very sick, very unhealthy at whatever level or degree this controlling of your family plays out. It's about complete ownership, and even down to ownership of your child's body at some sexual level, whether acting upon those thoughts or not. This is were all that control and strictness can lead.

My cousins daughter and fiancé were shot in their home (duplex ) last year. She was raped before shot. Then the house was set on fire. A month later the landlord had moved someone else in. So sad.

My daughter was murdered 3 weeks shy of her 21st birthday and 3 months after my mom died if cancer. My daughter was murdered for her money she just won a lawsuit and I have tried to get to her I just keep failing I miss her more then words could ever say. He was a classic family anihlerator. They were basically destitute and he n the mom (his daughter) were drug users. Poverty, depression. It’s extremely horrible but I think he felt that he’d just do his daughter a favor n take them all out. Sarah had two sets of children. 3 from one man and 3 from another. Both men were in jail at the time. She was on assistance from the state n the Khulman kids in school were reported for being dirty at Irby ES for sure. Sara-She was destitute and basically had no choice to go back n live with her disgusting father. 6 kids. She was 28. No help n struggling with addiction and poverty. I think her Dad was evil and had this insane thought to just take everything n everyone with him. It’s so devastating. Those kids were so sweet. 😭😭🙏🏻
