The parish church of San Bartolomeo in Brugherio (Monza, Italy) has a majestic concert of eight bells, tuned to the diatonic scale of A-flat major, in accordance with the custom of many bell towers in the area. During the late 19th century, almost all the bell towers in the area competed to have the largest and heaviest bell in the area. The bell concert was cast in 1896 by the Barigozzi brothers, who also cast the entire bell support structure. In 1948, the fifth bell was recast, while the fourth and sixth bells were replaced in 1964. The bells are here playing a concert for the Epiphany Mass, a great feast for Brugherio because this church houses the relics of the Three Kings who went to worship the infant Jesus in Bethlehem.
The parish was officially founded on 15 June 1578, while until then the population depended on the Monza Cathedral. The church has preserved the typical Roman rite of Monza and has always kept pieces of the relics of the Three Kings, after they were stolen by Frederick Barbarossa and taken to Cologne Cathedral.
