The Ben 10 Pilot Was ACTUALLY REAL | Lost Media FOUND 

Ran into this post on my feed. Great detective work. Yep. It was a test for the oversees studios. We test the studios we want to use by having them animate a few scenes from the storyboards. Character interactions for acting and of course a transformation scene. I love that you also had pages from the zine we put together for ComicCon.

I'd like to imagine now that the original pilot is now an alt dimension

As a character designer myself, I would pay RIDICULOUS amounts of money for an official Ben 10 art book featuring concept art, design process, scrapped ideas, etc.

The original premise of Ben 10 was very similar to the DC comic "Dial H for Hero" which might have contributed to the change to aliens.

I just occurred to me that the Ben 10 franchise is 16 years old at this point. I can’t believe my favourite franchise is nearly 20 years old.

I might be wrong here - but that MIGHT just be a vendor test. I personally don't think its a full pilot. Usually with tv animated series, the studio sends out a reel/animatic from a sequence to a variety of vendor studios to see which one they'd decide to stick with long term.

The flying skull man returns. Finding lost media is just like treasure hunting. And that Ben 10 edit for the, Multiversus looks Awesome.

If the concept art is true, then I can see why they changed it. Ben's bowl cut simply doesn't suit him and Gwen having a long ponytail would be harder to animate. I'm glad they changed it because the hairstyles we got for Ben and Gwen in the final product are far superior.

My personal theory is that Washington B.C was originally supposed to be the Pilot episode. The grocery store footage used in this missing pilot and the fact that the Pop-Up Trivia says Animo was inspired by the events of “And there was 10” to continue his experiments makes me think the Missing pilot was basically the episode Washington B.C. with some obvious changes in the plot. The problems with my theory would be how would you combine Ben finding the omnitrix with a Dr. Animo plot, I feel it would take to much time. Unless the show starts with Ben already having the watch (like in the reboot). It could be implied Ben already found the watch, and the missing pilot could somewhat play like the one we know. Since in the episode(Washington B.C) Ben has to learn what being a hero truly is, and the episode also features Heatblast and Fourarms, 2 of the most promoted aliens.

Lost media is like finding acident treasure in a way. It's always a relief when something cool like this is finally found and real as well. Case in point I love this series and fandom everytime something cool or exciting happens in it, it makes me proud to be part of something big and even times eventful too.

My bet for Multiversus is that They'd put one Ben as the character, and add the rest of the series counterparts as skins. I hope its they add the OV one with Hoodie. For character animation, i think they might go with Ben in human form normally, but when performing attacks or special moves, he changes aliens. Could be cool

if Multiverses does use anything ben 10 related I think Rath, Water Hazard, Bullfrag and heatblast would by my top picks for playable aliens.

There could be an alternate time line where the pilot existed everything would go out as normal with minor differences

Yo, this is sick Also, regarding the feedback, and bloxx bits I didn't notice the promos using a different background, but it is really cool to see both sequences with the Alien Force/ Ultimate Alien transformation backgrounds, some epic stuff in this vid of yours

The Ripjaws with 2 tails was actually an action figure, as well as Stinkfly with the red eyes. In the intro, we see a green Ripjaws design at the numbers part. Could that have been an earlier design?

Honestly, I like the look of Ponytail Gwen even more. It may not be quite as unique of a hairstyle, but I really like the design. Would've been a extra pain to animate, though.

I love Dave Johnson, I always wondered how would he draw a teen Gwen and Ben as well as the aliens. had he stay for alien force.

Hard to believe that this pilot is slowly but surely coming to fruition. It really makes you think how this iteration of Ben 10 could’ve been if Cartoon Network stuck with it. Great video by the way!

That's such a weird but interesting place for the footage to be. It looks like it'd be pretty hard to tell the footage was different when it's in the tiny box (which is probably the reason it's only been discovered recently), i wonder if there's any more footage out there that's just been overlooked, maybe in some other game or promotional thing?

Oh neat, lost media. Unrelated to the video but if Kevin in the original series had his personality from the reboot and was more of a recurring rival, I’d imagine people being less divided over him joining the good guys in Alien Force.

Fun Fact: the pilot footage for Four Arms's transformation sequence was also used in the opening for Season 1/2, and the first half of Wildmutts' transformation sequence just so happens to depict Ben with the same short hair

Hey kuro! I would like to request if you can also have some time finding the original plots of season 3 of AF, since so far, the only information we know is that Kevin would be mutated again. I'm curious on to whats the other plans for the original season 3 especially of how they will handle Vilgax and other characters.

I'd like to think Ben 23's Gwen looks more like the design she had in the pilot since Ben's pilot design does depict him with similar hair to 23's

On the subject of Ben 10 lost media, there was a 2006 US commercial series for new episodes of Season 2 that used the song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk. It was one of the first times I ever heard that song so it's always stuck with me. I've been searching for evidence of their existence over the past year and haven't had any luck yet. I've seen others reminisce about them in YT comment sections so I know they were not just a childhood fever dream. If anyone knows where I could try to find some old video files of them, I'll make sure to publish them somewhere so they don't stay as lost media.

In the season 1 Opening of Classic Ben 10, you can see a split second of the original transformation of 4 Arms. It looks VERY similar to one in the lost pilot

Fun fact: if you pay atention on wildmuth transformation, you can see that it has the pilot episode design, the shorter hair, light green eyes and a brighter skin, the scene overall has a more bright and lighter visuals and effects, which i think the series was suposed to have before the final product.

I hope someone can like find the pilot. I would really love to know what it was before the final concept

Hehe I feel like Ben10 fighting alongside bugs bunny is the ultimate disrespect 😅 As a game dev. I always want to make a Ben10 game like this. Here me out. 1. A MMO similar to GTA, World of Warcraft, and etc. 2. Everyone one gets a empty Omnitrix. 3. Aliens exist as world Boses, and rare chance to drop tokens which unlock Aliens on your Omnitrix. 4. Team up, kill and collect aliens. Duel or arena other players from Omniverse. Might sounds like a Pokémon game. But much more action oriented.

Ngl Gwen and Bens hair make sense in the og pilot cuz Gwen is a girl and when u picture a girl u will think of someone with long hair and maybe they had trouble drawing ben and he turned out like someone with a buzz cut but maybe later they managed to draw ben and they experimented with Gwen’s hair and we have the classic series

It's nice to know theres something interesting on the old Ben 10 website my country (the UK). Back in the day I was always sad because the US site had so much more content and many of the links to Ben 10 episodes were region locked. I remember being so disappointed as a kid that I wasn't able to watch full episodes online.

There might be many test sequences or unaired clips which would be ultimate awesome to see

I've notice something about the Four Arms cilp. It's actually the low resolution version of one of the cilps used at the end of the season 1-2 intro only to expect that the low resolution one is a lot brighter than the high resolution/ Intro one.

there was also an old cn puzzle game that included multiple shows and the ben 10 part uses that old logo with the omnitrix hand
