I use this in my fall/autumn tea blend. I have chamomile, clove, star anise, cardamom and a cinnamon stick. I didn’t know all of these benefits but the tea is delicious. 😊
As a fellow health RU-vidr, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your insights on the benefits of drinking clove water at night! It's fascinating to learn about the historical significance of cloves and their medicinal properties. In addition to the benefits you mentioned, I’d like to highlight that cloves are also rich in antioxidants, which can help combat oxidative stress in the body. This is particularly important for overall health and longevity. Moreover, the eugenol in cloves not only aids in oral health but also has anti-inflammatory properties that can support heart health by improving circulation and reducing blood pressure. For those looking to incorporate clove water into their routine, I recommend steeping a few whole cloves in hot water for about 10-15 minutes to extract the beneficial compounds effectively. This can be a soothing bedtime ritual that promotes relaxation and better sleep. Thanks for sharing such valuable information, Dr. Berg! Your channel continues to be a fantastic resource for those of us interested in natural health solutions. Keep up the great work!
@@NansGlobalKitchen Hello! Yes, you can use it that way and in your case as well, the only people who should avoid it are people with bleeding disorders. Disclaimer: not medical advice. You know the drill. :)
Here in Ireland people like to drink a hot whiskey with lemon & cloves if they hav any type of cold or flu. It would be one part whiskey of your choice, 2 to 3 parts boiling hot water and a slice or 2 of lemon along with 5 to 6 cloves.
I am from Chinese family, clove (besides star anise, cinnamon, cumin seeds) is always used in our stew, soup and gravy. I also use it daily in my hot spiced milk tea - with ginger. It greatly helps with my nasal issue. Only now i know of its full benefits and so many other uses. Thank You Doctor.
I've been eating cloves for over a year now (actually I blend them into my morning health tonic) and I found it made my digestive tract work even better and it helped with my athlete's foot so well I no longer needed OTC medications
@@lemonyskunkketts7781 The clean part has never been a problem (I caught it from nasty conditions I had to endure in the Army) But I have never tried to Hydrogen Peroxide
I use clove oil to clean black mold. I mix vinegar, peppermint oil, borax, and a few drops of dish soap. Mix a little water. Get a scrub brush or cloth to clean, and the mold is gone!
I make a chicken coop deodorizer with clove oil and other essential oils. But it works to spray around in the basement if there's a funky smell as well as deodorizing a litter box and a stinky garage. Bad smell gone and no lingering essential oil smell either.
Be careful! Clove oil contains eugenol, which is toxic to cats and dogs, but especially cats. "Symptoms of clove oil poisoning in cats include vomiting, seizures, staggering, and liver toxicity. In dogs, symptoms include excessive drooling, vomiting, and respiratory difficulties."
I have been using cloves water on my hair and the results is amazing .my father always chew clove whenever he has tooth pain. thanks Dr.Eric you're the best💯😍😍
I use it in my hair as well!! I just made a clove rinse and a clove oil for my hair just this week. I also make my own mouthwash that has cloves in it. Cloves are so powerful.
The dentist failed to tell you after tooth extraction not to "spit" the traditional way- you are supposed to open your mouth & let the liquid "fall out", bc the action of spitting out water requires us to form a suction in our mouth pulling out the plug that protects the socket.
To make clove water, simply boil 4-5 cloves in water for 5 minutes, then let it cool. Adding honey can make it more palatable. It's recommended to drink it 30 minutes before bedtime to maximize its benefits.
Dr. Hulda Clarke published a lot of research years ago, using clove and black walnut tinctures for the removal of internal "parasites", microscopic to quite large. Chinese medicine teaches a connection between lungs and bowels. We live in an ocean of bacteria, yeasts, virus, and other kinds of microorganism "parasites". Many of them live peacefully with us, like our digestive organisms. Many cause diseases, which can be treated by killing them with the herbs and cures mentioned.
During three months in Europe this past summer, using public transportation, often times on tightly packed trains, I managed to keep healthy due to putting 3 cloves in my daily bottle of water.
let's not get paranoid here... using public transportation does not make you sick....I assure you, you can be healthy even if you use packed trains without 3 cloves in your water :) Cheers!
Please make these kinds of natural resource benefits. There are so manyyyy ayurvedic benefits available. Please bring them back for us. Such as leaf juices .... Let us know how to prepare extract out of them. Thanks in advance.
Clove oil is pretty potent. Make sure to dilute it first before placing it in your mouth for pain because it can really burn you. Trust me, I found out the hard way but it stopped the pain immediately.
We used to always put cloves in our hams when my mom made them. . I've read up on the wonderful benefits of clove, especially for those with candida and sibo and h pylori, I put two or three cloves in my coffee...
My two year old boy likes clove tea unsweetened. Recently I discovered we could apply oregano oil on the sole of his feet while asleep, and it healed a bad cold instantly. Will try this with clove oil too. Thank you for the tip on insect repelling, maybe it would work for an organic vegetables garden.
Good morning doctor berg, I've been watching alot of your videos lately. I'm trying to implement them as much as possible. Thanks for the great work u do keep it up!!
Great video, Doc! I have a very sore lining in my nose. I've been using aloe vera/coconut oil in it. I may try some clove mixed in. I love the taste and smell of clove. When I was a child I loved the clove gum. Thanks!
@@Userxyz-z2d hmmm... I hadn't thought of that! I do use castor oil on my face and neck with my vitamin C and aloe and put a little of that just inside. I don't want my nose to burn for sure-- it's uncomfortable enough already! Thanks😊✌
I put about 30 to 40 cloves in 1 litre of water. Let it go brown then use as a totally organic mouth wash. Ive been using it for years and have excellent oral health.
I would like to know about the research on konjac, which is used in traditional Asian medicine to treat liver disease, skin diseases and burns. Studies have shown that it can treat diabetes and inhibit tumor development. It is not that difficult to obtain it, and I think this will be of great help to the public.
I have issue with autoimmune disorder. Drinking clove water trigger a flare of inflammation. It s like overactivating my immune system. I dont know why.
I think Dr. Berg is the best expert on alternative health that is out there. The Bible tells us that the Lord is giving us things from the Earth for our health problems. Over and over for years I have found that alternative health helps fixed what ailed me and that medicines were no help or had bad side effects.
Thanks for this info. I have an artificial aortic valve & doc said I need warfarin for the rest of my life to prevent clots around the valve. I also have to take 2 grams of amoxicillin before every dental appt. I'm always looking for natural blood thinners so I can keep my warfarin (rat poison) dosage down. Pineapple & cranberry work great, but ruin my keto efforts. I test my INR at home every 2 weeks, but when I start the clove water, I'll test more often & adjust Rx dosage down as needed until stabilized (yes, there's app for that). I wonder if the amoxicillin will still be necessary if I'm drinking clove water every night 🤔
Yup. Like anything else it has a side effect. No matter how good something is for you, it might have some side effects. Not like synthetic dtugs, but is good to do your own research and find out if it can harm you in any other way, interact with your medication, etc. I'm surprised he didn't mention that it's a blood thinner. Just like Cayenne pepper (which I love). It's very good for you but, it's also a blood thinner.

I make a drink with 2 cloves that has helped me get rid of bad inflammation: Ingredients: 1/4 tsp Turmeruc 1/4 tsp cow butter ghee Slice of Lemon with rind 1 desertspoon honey (can reduce this to 1 tsp honey but it helps me to like drinking this drink) 1 small stick of cinnamon 1 decent size cup of boiling water Put all of this on the hob fr boiling point for 1-2 minutes ( If you boil for 2 mins, take the slice of lemon out at 1 min (so the drink doesn't become too bitter. Sieve the drink ifrom the pan into a decent size cup through a sieve with a longish handle so you don't burn yourself. This is enough for 1 person Warning: make sure you make this drink away from a stainable surface, I prepare it on a Stainless Steel tray as turmeric will stain if you get it on your kitchen sideboard. It may take time to get used to the taste of this turmeric tea, I love it now, but give it time because along with a diet to reduce inflammation, this works so well for the digestive tract.
Thanks to Dr. Berg's advice in this video, I will now put the lid on the pan while iI am boiling my turmeric tea with cloves, then I might cool it and put it in the fridge for an hour and then reheat it to get all the benefits of cloves.

Another victory for Mother Nature over synthetics and chemicals! Cloves have such huge benefits for such a small spice. Great information as always, Dr. Berg!
I chew 2 cloves before bed. Been doing it for 1 week now. I'm feeling better in the morning and during the day. It's doing something. Def going to try it in water
I grew up in the 1950s and 60s, and I remember my mother using cloves to dull my toothache until she could get me to a dentist. I had no idea it had so many other uses and will be trying the drink as a digestive aid, and for hopefully clearing up a bad cold and cough I've bad for a couple of weeks now. Thank you, Dr Berg, from Wales, UK! 🤧
Thank you so much for all your videos. I love the smell of clove oil. I’m on the blood thinner Lixania would it be save to drink the clove water please?
One dentist that I respect a lot, Dr. Ellie Phillips, advises against using clove oil on teeth. She says it can destroy the tooth nerve and you can cause actual damage that cannot be reversed.
You might get more health benefits if you simmer for 5 minutes and then let it steep, like mentioned in the video, but I think you could still reap the benefits of the cloves by doing as you ask.
@@Drberg I just remembered that I have a water boiler! So I can totally get on this! Finally a tea that works! Bless you, always! I’m really looking forward to this!
My mouthwash-1 cup hot water/1 cup hydroperoxide/ clove essential oil drops/peppermint essential oil drops. Put in a tinted glass container (makes 2 cups).
