Magnifico represents a unique semiauto shotgun, for its superior quality finishes and technological details.Realized in cooperation with Piotti brothers (a famous Italian fine guns manufacturer) with the guide of architect Marco Gaudenzi, that for Benelli has already signed most of the Benelli successful models. Magnifico can be considered the only “Fine” semiauto shotgun: a perfect blend of technological knowledge and elegance.The engraving is signed by the master engraver Giorgia Contessa. Magnifico means not only magnificent, but it also represents a Renaissance name referred to Lorenzo De Medici from Florence (said Il Magnifico), probably the most powerful Italian renaissance Family together with the Montefeltro from Urbino, but also a great connoisseur of art and beauty status. Going back to the engraving, we can immediately perceive how it’s wonderful an amazing mix between modern and classic style that underline where Benelli has been able to transform a shotgun in a masterpiece. Magnifico also introduces some significant technical solutions like the system to disassemble the fore-end, that comes from close to the o/u and Side by side shotgun and the folding bolt handle. Another interesting solution is represented by the choice to put the safety on the back of the receiver, elegant and comfortable, engraved and knurled by hand. The selected hi grade oiled finishes walnut stock and fore-end, perfectly fit the receiver, creating an unparalleled union between wood and steel coated with a precious burnishing (barrel and upper receiver) with small but elegant gold inlays. The receiver comes from the hi end Benelli model Executive the surface is fully polished by hand like all the internal components. The barrel is made in special steel 42crmo5, and it’s deep drilled, the second phase of the industrial cycle is the reaming and after a dimensional control the barrel is ready to be blued. The cone is 85 mm at the muzzle before the choke. The rib is tapered with an handmade arabesque as the special bluing and polish of the barrel. One of ten produced globally for the 50th anniversary of Benelli. I would consider it the finest semi auto ever produced by Benelli. It was designed and built through a partnership with several artisans within Benelli and across Italy. Truly a unique piece for someone’s collection. Benelli USA has been allocated production number 4 of 10 and this is the only unit available in the U.S.
