I have a Benelli m4 that I paid way more than I should have. My cousin has a 1301 Langdon tactical he got it for a little more than half what I paid for my Benelli. Yes those are completely different systems but I DO WISH I HAD GOTTEN THE 1301. The Benelli is an overpriced and slower cycling auto shotgun.
From England mate? Soft hands? Putting sand paper on a brand new gun? Most other reviews praises the non slip grips that will assist with sweaty hands... I've got one, wouldn't do that. But good review
3:48 about the reliability. It depends on what gas valve spring your shotgun was supplied with. The 1301 Comp has been supplied with atleast 3 different gas valve springs. I have an early 2019 production one and it cycles all types of trash ammo just fine (24g or 7/8oz skeet loads work with 100% reliablity) but I have heard of earlier and later production examples which require heavier loads to cycle properly. Apparently the gas valve spring for 1301 Tactical (part number C95447) improves the reliability for lighter loads in 1301 Comp. When I first got my 1301 Comp I took it to the range with a bucket of mixed ammo of 24-50g loads from Skeet to 12/76 magnum at it cycled everything with 100% reliablity. I suspect my unit has very stiff gas valve spring and that it might cause durability issues with heavier loads (excessive bolt velocity etc) but from reliability standpoint it has been perfect (no break in period etc, worked perfectly without any lubrication with very light loads).
I'm seriously considering buying one of these (24 inch) over the shorter barrel 1301 Tactical. I have to admit though, from a strictly cosmetic standpoint, I'd prefer the blue anodized receiver.
It's not "b-link" it's blink, like you blink your eyes. Like the action is faster than the blink of an eye. Great video that pronunciation was just driving me nuts
I have one, and I love it! Handles well, runs reliably and costs much less than a Benelli. Having the recoil spring in the forend makes a lot of sense from a maintenance point of view.
I own a franchi afinity 3.5. Very good gun. Shoots skeet loads to goose loads without a hitch. Owned a benelli with the spring in the stock. It rusted due to rainwater running down into the stock while hunting. Franchi spring is in the fore end and much easier to clean and get to.
@@mariometaxas8923 To each his own brother .... lol I went with the black 1301 competition and let my rich uncle who's clueless buy the "Pro" model on my recommendation. We went out and shot both. I'm glad i got the black "competition" model after shooting both.
Nice gun. Why Oh Why does it only come with a ventilated barrel. I'm disabled and my Benelli M3 was hopeless because it was too long in the stock too heavy when in use due to this excessive length. I'm interested in the 1301 but I hate ventilated rib. Any suggestions ?
Wow the brits actual doing a honest gun review. I love it. It’s as unbiased and close to the truth you can get just like the BBC. Good stuff. After all Beretta is the longest standing gun manufacturer in the world 🌎. Fun fact# they actually own Benelli their just another subsidiary of Beretta. So when you say Benelli, Franchi, Stoger, Sako, Tikka, Uberti, your actually referring to a marketing strategy brand of Beretta. Most people don’t understand that. They are all 100% one in the same. Controlled directly by Beretta...your beloved Benelli is just a beretta they have decided to stamp with a different logo back in the 80s to sell more guns. It all goes back to the same family of mafia like - organized gun making bosses in Italy.
I love your thoughts on the beretta mafia - obviously we know that beretta group own benelli. However they are not the same. They don’t shoot the same. They don’t work the same. The commonality is barrel and choke boring and corporate ownership. As such I think treating them as two separate brands is fine
TGS Outdoors when you share the same parts manufacturers and design teams..... and research funding.....what would you call that then? It’s like saying that vws fundamentally different than Porsche. When the engines are interchangeable and they were both designed by Ferdinand. The credit for anything benelli does ultimately goes to back to beretta in my opinion. I mean at the end of the day they have the last say on everything. Bennelli fills a neich mainly for military marketing. Beretta brands the more expensive sporting guns with their name. No two beretta branded guns are exactly the same either. So there lies my argument. It should really say beretta on the gun. When they control everything in that benelli plant in the first place down to the supply of parts and quality assurance standards. And ultimately reap the benefits from the sales and redistribute them how they see fit. Any symbolic form of independence they retain is purely because beretta allows them to do so. Kind of like the British empires client states in its prime. You feel me? So when you say benelli i default hear beretta because if they were innovative enough to survive without them they would have never been bought out in the first place. We know who really leads the development. And signs peoples pay Stubbs. And it ain’t benelli.... so yea I understand your going to refer to the guns by the brand. But you need to have it in the back of your head that whenever benelli designs anything it must be approved by an engineer from where...... beretta. So you gotta give the mob the credit now don’t you? Because they would literally fire or hire whoever they want to do the job now wouldn’t they. And because many of the corporations higher positions are only available to direct decents of Pietoro ..... they literally have all the influence retained within the one family. Hence beretta = THE MOB. Italians 😂 You gotta love em.😉
@@Ricardo-eg3wn How are they the same? Beretta has just bought out those manufacturers. Take Sako for example, which is a Finnish weapon manufacturer they bought the year 2000.. Buying the company doesn't make the weapon now a Beretta. That's like saying an Omega is a Swatch.
You explained the relationship clearly but you couldn’t be more wrong about all products being the same thing just because it’s under the same umbrella. It’s like saying Porsche or Lamborghini is the same thing as a VW.
Because the comp pro is almost identical, the fit and finish is the same, the stock has kickoff vs non kickoff you can buy one aftermarket cheaper and better than the comp pro one and save money including if you want the tony mag system and pro lifter. But the main reason is the blue on the comp pro is hideous. So all up you can have the comp cheaper or if you want the features of the pro you can just get them aftermarket, cheaper and not be stuck with that ugly blue.
@@trollzone1incorrect you can get a better gun cheaper. There is no difference between them other than looks and accessories. So a bright blue gun that looks trash vs the same gun thats a decent colour and can be cheaper for the same accessories or better with other aftermarket components. If affordability came into my mind my k80 or invictus 3 would be the issue. But if you like the ugly version go ahead even if the comp pro was a better buy id still pass.
@@trollzone1 Like i said the guns great in any guise comp, pro, tac, le. Its just the pro is godamn ugly and thats what im trashing like the blue a400s thats why they changed almost no one liked the blue so they switched to grey. There is no point paying more for an ugly gun dont know why thats hard to understand i have a 1301 comp with full toni system stock, mlok, pro lifter, esstac cards etc. So not sure what your on about or just cant read (probably the later). Like i said before if you want the ugly one and spend more for no reason go for it and if you ever want to try and see what im saying im more than happy to let you have a go if you're ever at barbury or coleys.
Nice gun. Why Oh Why does it only come with a ventilated barrel. I'm disabled and my Benelli M3 was hopeless because it was too long in the stock too heavy when in use due to this excessive length. I'm interested in the 1301 but I hate ventilated rib. Any suggestions ?
I looked at this one but bought the M2 SP which is a much better gun ... I do like Beretta and have many others but the M2 SP is a far superior gun by far....
I had both the 1301 & the M2 SP I just sold the Benelli M2 SP because it does not fit me as well as the 1301 Comp, the Beretta is far more faster cycling than the Benelli however much more cleaning where as you don't really need to maintain the Benelli M2 SP. My issue with the Benelli it just didn't fit me I think it's for taller people with longer arms. I will be buying the 1301 Comp Pro now that my FAC has just come back with the variation.
