I have developed a way of stopping and starting stitches when I am doing Free Motion Quilting. I use "Mode 1". I use the foot pedal and I take my time and practice, practice and practice.
Remember to be kind to yourself and enjoy the process.
I recommend this tweezers to have on hand:

Thank you for this video…i should take another stab at free motion quilting! Everything makes so much more sense when a person like you explains things, rather than just reading the manual. Your enthusiasm shows and is inspiring. I will check out your other videos! Char

This looks so easy on a sample swatch, but not so much on a full size quilt

I agree. I plan on using "Quilt As You Go" methods more and more. I have stuffed big quilts into my B770 and I succeeded but my back felt the strain. It was much more difficult than when I finished off small art quilts.
