I've seen a much rougher 57 that was all original that had a 283 V8 for 25k and it needed lots of work. My friends older uncle had bought it brand new when he worked at the cotton mill in Joanna SC

My dad bought a 1957 corvette in 1976, that was listed in the paper as 57 chevy. Only description beyond that was that it was blue in color. He paid 500 for it.

That Corvette that's the nicest Corvette ever built right. I really didn't care for much after that model
