I'm considering buying one of these just for the soft filter function. I think the images while super stylized are really cool. Kind of like a gaussian blur but more film like.
I have this camera, it was very easy to use and very versatile. I suggest using it in street photograph. (It's broken now, suddenly stopped working :( )
@@DaniloAllen pretty good! doesn't do great in low light but that could just be me not being used to it yet, don't know whether i prefer this or the Olympus
I just remembered when watching this... that camera looks so familiar... i have one in a drawer. Bought it ata bric a brac years ago for like 3 euros! Im gonna get some batteries and see if it still works!
@@DaniloAllen it works like a charm. Although my roomate went to travel for a year and thought it would he nice to gift her the camera and share the joy i get from film photography. Can't wait to see the pictures!
I've just added an Autoboy Tele to my collection. If it is anything like my Autoboy AF35m, it should produce some great images. I'm excited to try it out.
this camera has been sitting in my shelf since i got it with my A1. i was just expecting an A1 but it came with this and a kodak point of shoot. didn’t pay much attention to it since it was a bit plastic-y and one day was staring at it. just bought a battery for it just to see if it’s working. i have an Olympus Epic that i carry everyday but i like the chunky body of this … idk why. excited to see if mine works
I really appreciate the effort you put in to producing these videos! Thank you... A friend at work said his mum wants to get into photography. He asked me to bring in an easy to use camera. I said what even a film camera? He said yes... I'm thinking a Minolta XG-M 50mm 1.7... he said oh just setting easy & cheap, he said my Minolta looked too complicated... Should I sell him this Autoboy Tele, for his Mum's first ever camera...? and tell him to watch your video & send his mum to Film Never Die monthly photo walk Deb & scan club? Thoughts please...
Found one of these yesterday in a salvation army op shop for $10NZ. Battery was dead, took it to a local camera shop and they replaced the battery, camera worked Shot a test roll of BW ISO 400 today, get the film back tomorrow.
Under the screw in the side of the camera!! It’s a bit different from your typical more modern cameras in that way. Here’s the manual www.cameramanuals.org/canon_pdf/canon_sureshot_tele_toptwin.pdf
What's the difference between the Canon Sure Shot 80 Tele and the Canon Sure Shot Autoboy? I can't decide between the two, but I like the fact that the autoboy has a neck strap rather than a wrist strap like with the Canon Sure Shot 80 Tele. (I know nothing about cameras I just want a cool digital film camera for personal use, I like the way the Canon Sure Shot 80 Tele photographs, but I want a neck strap lol. Is there a difference between the two photography wise?
Hey Danilo! This video actually inspired me to get my own Cano Autoboy. Having said that, I seem to be facing difficulties with the camera's focus :(. Subjects that are off-centre are typically out-of-focus; the same issue afflicts some shots when the subjects are centered. Do you have any tips on this? Much appreciated
not danilo (lol) but i think what you can do based on the canon autoboy guide (you can find a pdf of it online) is that you can "lock" the focus, then move to yours subjects that are not centered then snap/release
Hey mate, im actually living near Shinjuku and am in search of a film camera! do you mind sharing how much you roughly paid for the camera. Great vid by the way, super helpful for beginners.
If you flick the lens cover thingy it’ll turn off the camera - it’s a bit awkward, but it’s really good because it stops any accidental pictures from being taken 😀
If a subject is darker than it’s background and general surroundings I’d suggest using it. Or even if you just want to lower the shutter speed for a shot
It’s a bit of a tricky one to find, you’ll probably have to buy online. Luckily it last for a long time - I haven’t replaced mine since buying it in March 2019
If you’re happy to not use flash? I rarely use flash but it’s very handy to have on a point and shoot - because then I don’t have to think much when I’m shooting with it.
Great question - though unfortunately I can’t seem to find the manual. But I guess if you can make it read 400 you’ll just be overexposing by 1 stop which can’t be that bad I guess… let me know how you go?
if you don´t think that this camera is the "BEST" than don´t write in the title the "BEST" that is missleading and manipulative and probably only done by you just to get more views
Fair enough, you are right about the reason - it was to widen the reach of the video because this is my business that I’m trying to grow. And by most measures it’s worked pretty well. But at the same time I believe the idea of the “best” is a bit ridiculous when it comes to cameras because that’s entirely subjective. I’ve personally recommended autoboy cameras to a lot of my friends and if using the word “best” in a RU-vid title increases the exposure to what I believe are underrated cameras I think that’s a good thing overall.
