@@eden1588 Sounds like the vinegar and the baking powder didn't react to each other properly. Sour taste = vinegar still there; soapy aftertaste = baking powder. Ideally, they meet in the batter and "cancel each other out" while the batter rests. This creates the leavening effect that makes the pancakes come out fluffy.
I tried again and YAY they came out tasting wonderful. I’m not sure what I did wrong the first time. Perhaps I didn’t mix the baking powder properly. Anyway, ty, these looked too good not to try again. 🎉
my attempt was nothing like you show :( i did use two bananas though and guessed the baking powder at 1tblsp? what went wrong? the apple cider vinegar didn't create the airiness either :(
Did you double the amount of flour too? If not, the batter was probably too runny to properly "dry up" during cooking. If you try this again with just one banana, please let me know!
