Not having a stupid chance just to get the limited weapon when low rate is bad enough, the guaranteed actually incentivizes me to pull on the weapon banner even if I end up hitting pity and I don’t feel bad about it. Coming from another game that had me hitting near pity twice and losing twice for that guaranteed. KuroGames just casually say “no scam here”.

After playing Wuwa, it's really tough to even consider spending money in ZZZ now. If I'm gonna spend money on a gacha then I rather put money on the one that guarantees more things I want over another 75/25 banner. Now I just need to erase the memory of me not getting Neuvillette's weapon on two different banners in Genshin out my mind lol.
That's why i quit genshin honestly. I liked nilou but never got the 4star with the hp substat on arle's weapon banner despite being able to get the 5 star. I felt compelled to pull the key and lost. There are more reasons (artifact grinding, abyss reset frequency changes) but at some point i just realized wuwa treated their players better.
The only game that I rather spend my time and money if playing playing hoyo game is HI3 even though I quit the banner system there is amazing. Guaranteed every banner 80 guarantee in Valkyrie and the weapon is only 50 pull to guarantee.

I can freely quit genshin cos im a full f2p and come back with no problems if there is a new update im interested. But yea even with the recent livestream and their free 5 star selector with some of the outdated 5* that i dont even care prob now i can c6 qiqi I have the urge to quit the game everytime i wanted to play the game again. Guaranteed weapon pity just makes sense, good on Kuro for implementing it 👌it guarantees a weapon pull and its also useable by many other units. Makes playing other games that don't have a safety net when pulling feel very bad man.

Weapon banner in WuWa changes the whole gacha system. Guaranteed to get the featured weapon is amazing. Same goes to Reverse 1999, where player worried less on the weapon, since the weapon is obtainable through event and in-game shop, without spending a dime. I wasn't sure about other gacha games since I didn't play that much. Anyways, kudos to the developers for understanding their player base.
R1999 gacha is good if they dont do the crappy rerun banners like they did with Tooth fairy but only having to roll for a character is awesome. No weapon gacha.

This is why it is recommended to pull on standard weapon banner instead of chara since chara standard are random and standard dupe are garbage. 5 star standard weapon is much weaker than limited but still better than 4 star (roughly 15-20% weaker than SIG, 5-10% weaker than limited weapon for the non target chara while 4 star even at R5 is 20-35% weaker than SIG/10-15% weakert than standard 5star) In a few patch I think I should be able to get another 5 star standard weapon and probably I will get Gauntlet unless I get lucky and get Xiangli Yao weapon from free pull
How tf are you running out of weapon exp? I have so much of it and I hate it. I need more echo exp every day and I just used all of my character exp on Zhezhi.
@@ChunniTensei For my first team, I have Static Mist for Chixia and 2 Stringmaster for Yinlin and Verina. Got 2 Age of Harvest in 10 pull, one for Jinshi in my second team and Calcharo in my third, which already got leveled up Lustrous Razor. So, that's 6 five-star weapons plus 4 four-star for the rest. As for Echo, I'm not in a hurry to maxing all three teams. I prefer dealing with skill tree first.
@fiamma_23 First of all, why tf did you give a stringmaster to Verina? Her best weapon is a 4-star. You know you don't need separate weapons for each character if they are on different teams, right? Just switch the weapon when using the other team.

As a Genshin vet, I was scared away from weapon banners ... because in Genshin they're basically a scam where you could end up with the limited 5* weapon for a character you don't even have and the 5* limited weapons tend to be pretty niche (with only a few exceptions like Homa, Mistsplitter, Aqua and Elegy). But in WuWa, not only are you guaranteed in 80 pulls, you can shares weapons across teams in the endgame and lots of weapons work well across players: (1) String Master is Yinlin's BIS, but it's also Encore's; (2) Jiyan's broadsword is his BIS (obviously), but it's also great for Calcharo and Jinhsi, (3) Changli's weapon is his BIS, and it's also Rover's best/second best weapon, and so on... So in WuWa, I am actually pulling for signature weapons as soon as they reruns, and Xiangli Yao's at first instance if I can earn him for free. It's optimal.
As an egergious whale for HSR, I can confidently say that spending money in Wuwa has been incredible. Even on Zhezhi banner I pulled her and her signature and I felt like I made my account 4x stronger without any hassle of guessing after winning 1 50-50 ONLY. I spend less and feel like I am rewarded more. Its so insane how good Wuwa's banner is compared to the ZZZ banners, especially weapons. Weapon banners in hoyo games just feel bad if you get unlucky. I know eagerly liok forward to next weapons abd characters Edit: Just realized the confusing nature of this comment. I apolgize for how confusing it sounded.
In WuWa you can use standard 5-star weapons on all characters and beat all content, they are good enough + you will eventually get all of them as f2p. I pull limited weapons mainly for the look and to support KURO :) It's like buying a skin for me, you don't have any 50/50 instead you have extra chance to get it early or guaranteed at 80 pulls. Zhezhi's weapon looks majestic so i had to get it!
I love Wuwa's weapon banner so much! Because of the garontee i wont have to experience the Acheron problem 😭. WuWa has ruined all the other gotcha games for me now. In a way its good so at least i wont spend too much money lol 🤣. Hope they continue to make the weapons universal or at least useable to most 5 stars and thier classes
Wuwa not only makes the 5 star weapon good but usually there is one that will do pretty well for a majority of characters and they can be swapped in TOA. With no nightmare of a banner like Genshin this makes it more appealing for the majority of people who spend in the game to roll for weapons as well as characters. But let me be clear gatcha games are by no means cheap to pay to play regardless of how generous they appear to be.
after wuwa TOA were you can swap gear in between floors , zzz make me mad gearing 2 teams with the same weapons, though game gives you pieces to craft them in galaxy store, but its tough then it comes to banner weapons which gives nothing beside stats if its not signature weapon for characters .
Honestly, Ive been playing gacha for years as an F2P and open world rpg gachas such as Genshin, Honkai, TOF, etc.. I have never pulled on a weapon banner, because I could just spend my currency on characters, but with WuWa I got Zhezhi’s weapon so easily it was unreal.
I'm currently half-regret for pulling Changli weapon max pity because now I'm broke af to pulls Xiangli Yao weapon and Shorekeeper lmao. But hey aesthetics >> efficiency 😂
Changli's weapon is BiS for Danjin, so if you have her and decently good Havoc echoes Danjin can continuously stack the passive bonus on it while getting much better raw stats for her over Emerald of Genesis.

you compare this to other game ,but did you know using a 4* weapon in hoyo games is more than good enough to clear/full star any content of the game .Like even in wuwa ,the only thing that make me pull for weapon is because the lack of 4* option ,rectifier especially .
I noticed some comments mentioning how comparably weak the 4* weapons are and I agree, but I think Kuro made up to it not by just making the limited weapon banners garunteed, but also by giving the players a free standard 5* weapon through progression and the ability to choose which standard weapon to pull for from the banner (let alone separating them from the standard characters' banner) Currently, I have two standard weapons and a limited one, and I'm also willing to pull for Yao's. I would've preferred to have a 4* replacement to save my pulls, yes, but the fact that such a strong weapon is garunteed and the character is actually free, I feel like it's worth it
They ruined it in the sense that it feels mandatory compared to non-limited 5 star weapons. The standard 5 stars are more like Genshins 4 stars. And the 4 stars are so bad comparatively, they're like Genshins 3 stars. I don't pull for weapons in any game so WuWa feels a lot worse because of this.
i guess you could argue that since the weapon banner is so good it is more of an incentive to pay for it allowing even smaller spenders to spend a bit more for the weapon banner.
Ever since I lost 75/25 to Topaz's LC in HSR and it cost me another 70 pulls to get it, I firmly believe that weapon banners should always be guaranteed simply because losing 75/25 feels worse than losing 50/50.
Tbh, I think Kuro didn't intend for Stringmaster to be so non specific to Yinlin. Since the only part of stringmaster that used to be Yinlin specific was bonus atk when of field, but Zhezhi uses it as well now. In my honest opinion majority of stringmaster's buff should have been ported to off-field bonus. Giving less atk in general for bonus Res. Skill dmg and higher atk bonus when off-field. It would still keep it pretty generic, but not to the point where its insane on literally every Rectifier user. Edit: Great examples of such signature weapon design is literally every other signature weapon in WuWa. Blazing Brilliance and Harvest are just generic enough to be good on almost any character of their weapon type, but just specific enough to not be 100% effective on those other units. BBrilliance can be utilized by every sword character to a good value, but is only exquisitely good on Changli and Danjin, since every other sword user doesn't have quickly repeatable res. skil to stack it quickly or enough of their damage as Res. Skill to greatly benefit from its buff.
For people already set for 5-star weapons and nothing else. Sure this is a good system. But i would much rather prefer the option of pulling on a character and knowing there are actual 4-star alternatives than having to pull on every single weapon banner. If you don't got a 5-star weapon, the character is automatically unusable (besides dedicated support units).
Yeah, this video skips over how much weaker the 4 star alternatives are next to the Mihoyo games it's ripping on. It's a good system for whales/dolphins but if you're F2P it probably means you've be getting less characters because you need to get the weapons too.

HSR lightcones are similar to Genshin, 4-star (5S) are actually good and in rare cases, better than 5-star LC depending on who uses it. Also don't forget HSR got 2 very good free 5-star LC you can take to max potential. I do remember acheron, i even got her E2S1 and plays regularly. Yes you are right that ahceron LC is a big difference from the 4-star alternative (and you don't got much picking there either). However, the signature LC from GNSW (S5) is 25% better, but this gap is closing in with jiaoqi releasing soon. I do agree regardless it sucks and they shouldn't have done it. But in WW? the difference is closer to double the damage (40-50%) from signature to BIS 4-star (S5) counterpart. And because there are so incredibly high modifiers on the BASE weapon stats (like 72% crit damage...), you won't be able to close that gap with new 4-stars or characters because of this insane dependency and fundamental balancing rule. And keep in mind this is close to EVERY SINGLE FEATURED 5-STAR IN THE GAME!!!! This is why i'm annoyed, i'm foreseeably going to have to skip 2 character banners in WW, which makes it the only gacha game i have played that makes you miss out THIS much on the game to play as a light spender. btw Acheron is the first featured LC i have ever pulled in HSR and in genshin i think i only have 3 or 4 featured weapons on my account made at release, played on for 2 and a half years... I already got 2 featured weapons in WW because you NEED them. I don't like either how MOC focuses on the on-banner characters so much and how some teams requires very specific pulled 5-stars to work (arguably i would say follow-up teams are worse than break teams, at least MC is the core unit. While if you don't got robin FA attacks hits like a wet noodle). But you know WW is no better in this regard? We are just too early for full team compositions, when those arrive things will just get worse just like it did in HSR... Arguably it's already worse since you need specific elements even now to climb the tower or whatever it's called. You aren't a chill, just badly informed like the rest. Give it some time, when we get full 5-star teams people will see just how absurdly bad this is.

Ive been using jiyan weapon on Jinshi and yeah, it might not bring the same value as her own signature but honestly it was well worth it, Jiyan, Calcharo and Jinshi share that weapon and unless im talking well into the future i dont think ill try to pull for another 5 star claymore, maybe Jinshis on next rerun idk.

Yeah, many people forget that there's many other Gacha game, and it doesn't even have weapon banner. But on the downside, many of them have bad gacha rate, so it's kinda the same. I miss when gacha game market isn't monopolized by Hoyo.
With the oscillated coral weapon pulls from the store, I pulled on Zhezhi's banner to build pity for later, assuming nothing would happen. One ten pull. Less than 20 pity. I pulled TWO of zhezhi's weapon. I should have just waited cuz now my luck will be gone forever. I wasn't planning on pulling zhezhi, but with R2, I might have to.
while having generally good 5* weapons is good in genshin alot of signatures are just as useful statsicks like redhorn which is still among if not the best claymore option simply due to its critdmg substat even if certain characters like diluc dont scale on DEF same goes for Lofi, FGM etc theres a decent ammount of cases where this is the case the reason why the same using of other characters 5* weapons as statsticks in wuwa feels soo much better is simply by virtue of a lack of 4* alternatives that arent >30% worse where pulling on the weapon banner once for a 5* statstick seems more like a reasonable choice than trying to make the 4*s work that spend the substat to catch-up on the base atk of the 5* option additionally genshin has its reaction system that depending on chartacter is effectively free dmg and extremely powerful buffers like bennett that can already offset alot of the atk loss from running a 4* em weapon instead of a 5* critstick while genshin is ofcourse older the lack of supports that just give +1000 atk or reactions that give around x2 DMG amps characters rely more on their own inherent dmg which makes having a 5* weapon gfeel much more like a worthwhile investment tldr garuanteed 5* weapons arent 100% a blessing since they very much have the potential to backfire where you want a 5* weapon option ideally the characters signature weapon as the dmg penalty 4* options is not worth playing them with plus once you as a dev can assume everyone naturally just picks up the 5* by default you arent as pressured to provide good enaugh alternatives
Using 3rd party tools to buy pulls is pointless, if you are like me and you live in Europe i have a HUGE way for you to save money on gacha games, get a VPN or a japanese google play account and buy in yens. My genshin and wuwa costs went down by 25%, that is ridiculous! Instead of paying 100 euros i now pay 75 euros which is enough to buy the battle pass and daily gems package ans still have left to spare.
I still don't trust it even if a youtuber with a lot of subs, great youtuber but I don't like it that he is endorsing 3rd party sites with risks involved. After looking around, I see no one is using it and we have no way of knowing how they are profiting by giving discounts. Either by exploiting regional pricing or stolen credit card, both are already a no no.
Making wrapon banner a guarantee is actually very smart. Players will feel safer pulling for weapons and if they can get the weapon, *of course* they have to have the character too! Which is more pulls!
The fact that a lot of people are so used to Genshin Gacha system is really concerning. I hope this can be a new norm which hopefully rollback the gacha gaming into needing just to pull for characters then you can grind their gears by playing instead of pulling gacha for so many stuffs.
My biggest regret in Wuthering waves is skipping yinlin's weapon i dont have yinlin, i dont care about yinlin, but i regret not having pulled her weapon. it gives ungodly amounts of crit rate and a generic ATK boost that works as BiS for every rectifier DPS in the game
Since I've always presumed going all in for unique weapons is only feasible for P2P players and having got spooked on Yinlin banner I didn't give much thought into pulling Stringmaster. Now I regret my choice every single time I field Encore😢
I like the way weapons are handled specially the 5* and the limited weapon banners, once I get a 5* weapon of every type I wouldn't need to pull a weapon ever again. So far i have a 5* sword, pistol and a broadblade and i have enough to get the new gauntlet. Zhezhi's weapon looks beautiful but i ended up getting her instead 😊
Ironically I lost the chance to pull for StringMaster do the circumstances between the release of Jiyan and Yinlin banners. I got Verdant Summit after 30 pulls, but went hard pity for Yinlin. After that I decide that I had to save my astrite for Changli banner.
@@saintontas Luckily the Standard banner was kinder to me. Got Verina after 30 pulls, so decided to use the other pulls to get Cosmic Ripples as my StringMaster replacement for the time being.
Not even pulling for zhezhi just wanted a good 5* star rectifier for my team and pulled it in 1 ten pull lol. I’ve gotten way luckier in wuwa then any other gacha and pulled 5* way before pity multiple times
while i agree wuwa has the best 5 star limited weapon banner, its also need to be pointed that wuwa's 4 star weapon is lackcluster compared to the limited 5 star. in zenless 4 star w-engines performs not as bad compared to the limited 5 star counterparts. in genshin, sometimes 4 stars can be a BiS in a character. there's also event limited free 4 star level weapons we can use. since i've played all them, if you take everything into account and comparing the different game, its kinda the same. it's a gacha game after all. the only difference is how do we plan our pulling based on our luck.
Just want to push back on the Genshin part of your comment (haven't played ZZZ yet so can't comment on their weapon system). Genshin has a lot of variety with their 4 star weapons I think mostly because they've been around for so long. I agree that they give out great event weapons but the problem there is that they don't rerun events (afaik) so if you're like me who started playing a few months ago, it doesn't matter how great these free 4 star weapons are if I can never ever get them. Like when I got Xianyun, I find out one of her best 4 star weapons came from an event that happened a long time ago and there's no way for me to get it now. So, IMO, WuWa's weapon system is still ahead for me. No great 4 star weapons yet but most of them are still very usable. Then, there's the guaranteed 5 star weapon gacha, which has a separate ticket type that you can get from the Coral shop every patch, allowing you to save them up for specific weapons you want, and I think the weapon banner in WuWa is very accessible, even for F2Ps.
@@technicalleon I like this. It's a fully expected comment out of a wuwa stan tbh. I could smell it from a mile away. My point is simple, wuwa stans love pointing out genshin's 1.0 version comparisons with wuwa 1.0, but when it comes to anything else, they conveniently bend the argument to suit their opinion - in this case, a new player unable to get event weapons. Unfortunately, I also believe that as a veteran player in any gacha game, we should have something of an advantage over the new players. The new players, if are able to get every single thing that we've obtained by grinding throughout years, it loses its meaning altogether. Veteran players feel rewarded the more unique stuff that have gathered over the course of the game. Either way, as the op already pointed, the 4 star options are definitely ahead in genshin. Not to mention 5 stars aren't even needed at all. They don't feel like must haves, so there's no need to even roll on weapon banners - hence the double pity system shouldn't even be a problem, and most players exaggerate on this issue. Yes the system is trash, but there's also no need to roll on the banner since the weapons aren't that far ahead in performance, nor is the game competitive enough to even consider it - isn't that the consensus in the community, or should I say the hater community? That genshin is casual and can be beaten with 4 stars without skills. If so, you clearly don't need gacha weapons for abyss. Congratulations, you played yourself. Anyways, the point being the f2p weapons are still better. A gacha weapon being considerably stronger than any f2p option is the opposite of a good design - since instead of skipping and saving on that banner, you are now more inclined to pull on it, if even for the guaranteed attempt. You are still gonna waste 65 wishes, when you can save em in genshin completely. So no I disagree on this subject, genshin's weapon banner system is trash, but the overall weapon choices are better. Age? Sure. But we are comparing in 2024, you don't go into a PC building store and compare specs of a current gen cpu to a 4 year old cpu. You'll compare them at their current state, what they offer rn.

Already tried Jinhsi with standard Boardsword the dmg not so bad And about ZZZ let take Ellen as example her sig weapon Deep Sea Visitor compare to S5 Starlight is 20% more dmg total both in burst and normal rotation, the closest is Brimstone which around 10-18%
the only annoying part is the difference between 5 star and 4 having a 80-100 flat ATK difference but that doesnt really matter when the main focus is on its effects
Took me 2 days to level up zhezhi and her weapon got jinshi weapon in 78 and zhezhi’s in 3 and for changli it was 68 gonna have this is all f2p but that will change
I started to pull for some weapon in my 3rd year in GI and only in banner where I'm fine with getting either weapon and total I did it twice and both time I lose and didn't get what I want, the rest of the time even when I'm interested in the weapon I avoid the banner like a plague cuz it is a fckin scame, 170 pull on average to get a single 5 star weapon that you want is just absurd I play Wuwa since release which is only 3 months ago, I get a total of 14 5*, 4 of those are weapon ( 2 Standard, 2 limited), 2 are character cons, and I only spend 35 USD so far for monthly and BP. 3 Months in GI I got a total of 5 5 star, some unlucky player might only have 3-4 The only unfortunate thing is that I lose 50/50 on Changli after 75 pull on her last day and cannot afford to whale to get her but I have almost everyone else (no Jianxi) which is big W i'd say. I'm confident I could get 140 pull by the end of Shorekeeper banner so I'm guarantee to get her so I only need to worry about 1.4 if we have double paid 5 star and gacha outfit then I'm fcked, but if it is normal paid outfit and 1 paid 5* then I'm gucci
@@BananaFlavouredPants Yeah it doesn't carry over, but it still significantly reduced the number of pulls required to guarantee for those looking to pull on the current banner.
If only the 4 star weapons are useful😪 I only have 2 5* weapons which is Blazing Brilliance and Static Mist. I dont have many astrites to pull for both the characters and weapon.
yeah totally agree that weapon banner system in WuWa is the best. ive pulled Yuinlin, Jhinshi and Changli all with signature weapons. just pulled Zheshi but i thinking skipping her weapon, because i have Yunlin one. and all that only with subscription. in ZZZ i was extremely lucky on weapon banner and end up with Ellen and Zhu Yuan weapons, wich i pulled both on 28 pull. for sure i will not have that luck for some time. in WuWa i pulled yuinlin one on 7(lol) and other at 40 and 43. gues i was pretty lucky too here xD
I only pull for a weapon once in a certain game but lost lol. Like you said aside from the guaranteed, it's universal so me reaching always 70 pity doesn't felt bad. Haven't realize yet on Yinlin's, that's why I didn't get hers. Got the Cosmic ripples though for the free standard banner pulls they give this patch but will still get the Stringmaster on rerun.
Why do you need to respect your customers when the customers don't even respect themselves? All you have to do is dumping a lot of money in marketing, and a lot of people won't even spend 1 sec googling before they spend more on a worse product.

All that super character soecific crap with weapons is just one of the reasons i just uninstalled genshin. With how many pulls it takes to get that weapon, for it to only be good on 1 character makes me regret bothering to get it. The characters just not as good without that weapon despite their influencerstans pushing them. I hope kuro knows we LIKE these weapons not being hardwired to the characters, too.

Welp... I might try a couple tenpulls for the weapon for my Encore or Yinlin... But no way I'm taking this unpleasant painter girl. She reminds me of Sucrose and I never liked Sucrose and now with that disgusting eng VA of hers, I even downright DISlike her.
