Head ahead of Marsh any day. Maybe Harry Brook would have been a good projection pick as well. Interesting that there is no English all format player now other than Bairstow and no one can pick Bairstow on current form. Also Makram any day ahead of Rizwan per me just because of that 100 at Cape Town. Cummins also missing
But Head doesn't play T20Is? Before this IPL I wasn't sure how good he was in T20s. Wouldn't have had it in my XI - Hasaranga/Jansen instead. I am still not sure how good he is in T20s
Virat scored 671 runs at an average of 55.61, Virat scored 1,377 runs at an average of 72.47 and a strike rate of 99.13 in odi. He missed on all time bcz of t20i But let's not talk about Mitch Marsh in same breadth.
The standards for mere mortals don't apply to King Kohli. He will always be judged harsher than everyone because his ceiling is way way higher than them.
@@nooneknows19 averages 53 with sr of 140 in last 10 T20 internationals.,I was saying he is not that impactful as best ever but still league above Marsh
What's the strike rate of kohli in t20s in past 2 years? batsman scoring 50 in 35 balls with the sr of 140 (typical kohli innings) does not mean much anymore in T20 cricket
41:41 Behram talks about Mitchel Starc and Shaheen Afridi. 42:32 Behram picks Mohammad Rizwan. (45:38 Behram: "Crickpicks, by design, it supposed to be a little bit biased" Jarrod: "It is biased! I don't understand why people don't get that! What do you think we're doing here?!".) 46:21 Honourable mentions: Jofra Archer, Mitchel Starc, Shaheen Afridi, Johnny Bairstow, KL Rahul, Pat Cummins, Tim Southee, Kane Williamson, Ben Stokes, Jason Holder, Quinton de Kock, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Alex Carey, Josh Inglis, Ben Foakes, Rishabh Pant. 48:49 recap the list 49:09 More honourable mentions: Joe Root, Dhananjaya de Silva, Wanindu Hasaranga, Heinrich Klaasen, Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Curtis Campher, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Rashid Khan, 54:22 closing remarks 55:26 advertisement
You're using the one test he played in 2024, and keeping Rohit Sharma aside who do you think can be there ? Kohli was striking in the 130s, except for two games against afg.He wasn't scoring runs in tests 2023 aside, and people like Kane Williamson have had a strike rate of less than 120 previous years. I know you'll say some random stuff like b team Zimbabwe or Nepal but I'm just using what you said in the comment.
@@abdulmonam1490it’s based on a long body of work. Babar is a very ordinary player that has been hyped by desperate fans and administrators. With more than half his career past him now, the dude averages
No Travis Head? Yes, not a great talent but his attitude and his performance (match winning impact) put him at No. 3 after Bumrah (by far) and Cummins (bowler & captain) and ahead of Rabada among the best all-format players currently.
I think this episode was recorded before the IPL, at which point Head had a superb ODI and Test run of late but probably nothing special to speak of in T20s? If this were recorded now, he would obviously be in the conversation I would think.
@@sushreyomisra3261 Very happy with Matt Henry finally finding an IPL team though. Also, Holder has really dipped as a cricketer in all formats in the last 2 years. Was (and probably still is) my 2nd fav. cricketer in the world after KW (from a personal fav point of view)
Jaiswal's currently not an all format player as he not played odi or else they would have definitely picked him. Cummins is a great red ball bowler but not good in white ball. I don't know why they didn't pick Travis.
Mitch Marshs family wouldnt even have picked him in this, impact is a subjective ,his record hasn't been that great even since his return mate, and he's not been playing as an all-rounder
Bruh these guys were talking about players from last 2 years, marsh wasn't even in the side, his performance from 2022 hasn't been that good, and while they are picking players currently that doesn't mean that you don't look at it 2 or 3 years in advance
He has averaged 26 in 2024 from 5 matches against weaker opposition than in 2023,what he did in the ashes was definitely a fluke,he was dropped twice and he had played no matches since 2019,this guy averages 30,how is he over kohli??even if he is in the draft,he should have been 4 or probably 5
@@MICOhive If we're doing over 2-3 yrs that's only gonna hurt Kohli's case more than help. Let's not forget the dreadful run Kohli had from 2020-2022 pre wt20.
And Mitch marsh would not even be there ,because he wasn't even playing in 2022 ,it's not about making a case,it's about getting a big sample size, and from that logic Shaheen should also be there,no matter how bad kohli was performing, marsh wasn't even there,do you understand how deeply finished his career was
This indeed was a tough pick but in the end I felt Estelle won this one. Behram had a couple of projection picks in Gill & Naseem. So, I had to choose between Estelle and Jarrod. And its hard to argue with her 3 picks: Bumrah - best current all-format pacer Kuldeep - best current all-format spinner Jadeja - best current all-format all-rounder
@@Reacher-nj4me What test cricket are you watching btw..... Head averages 40+ in tests batting @ 5th position .. Scored over 300 runs in the ashes in Eng last year...the guy has single handedly won them 6 to 7 test matches over 2 years now including WTC final.... watch some proper cricket instead of IPL 🤡
@@amitm2692 he's been below avg this year. In 2023 he averaged 41 which is fine. I'm certainly not picking him ahead of Daryll Mitchell. U can certainly if my comment offended you.
@@amitm2692 "watch some proper cricket" bdw I'm watching way too much which makes me embarrassed that I have to spend my time arguing with some randos in RU-vid comments section. 😭
@@Reacher-nj4me Daryl Mitchell hasn't won anything off note for new zealand in test format...scoring runs in one thing but he's certainly not made any impact....Head has the ability to turn test matches on its head in a session......it's not always about stats & averages.....
This has to be stupidest picks. Fill all the players with ind/Pak players , Naseem hasn't played anything, shubham gill Is okay but nowhere close to what head has done in all three formats since his comeback ashes. No english player, wow. Babar Azam is crap in T20. 1/10. So bad jarrod
Just because he doesn’t comes in clutch in IPL that doesn’t mean he is not a good t20 player Virat in international t20 cricket is still one of the best
@@adlad3199 Klassen, Pooran, SKY and Miller are obviously better, but de Kock has been mediocre lately and what the hell is Patidar doing in your list 😂😂
Rename the podcast to different ways in which we can milk Virat Kohli for views but avoid picking him at any cost. Rabada and Rohit over Kohli is brain damage territory.
