Great video as always! GoldenEye N64 is still one of my favorite Bond games of all time! An upcoming "fan remake" called 'GoldenEye 25', will be released in August 2022 on PC and is definitely worth checking out! GoldenEye: Reloaded from 2011 with Daniel Craig as Bond, is still an amazing remake to this day, but still doesn't replace the original N64 game. And don't ever forget Sean Connery as the voice of Bond in the 'From Russia With Love' video game from 2005. It is also important to mention gems like '007: Agent Under Fire' from 2001 and '007: Nightfire' from 2002 etc. There's so MUCH to talk about the subject, because there's so much history and depth.

Hate to be pedantic but that wasn’t the Atari 2600 version of the game - it was the Atari 5200, which had much better graphics capability than the much-more popular 2600.

TheBondExperience Been a painfully long wait til this next movie for us Bond fans but the good news is that in 2022 I think we will get both a new James Bond and a new film because I just can’t see the Bond people missing that milestone. ...So maybe 2 new movies in 2 years just like the good old days! There will also by then be new Xbox and PlayStation systems so maybe they would include a new game to promote it-the most recent gen systems sadly did not have a single James Bond video game!

As a kid I had an C64 and an Amiga. I remember playing The Living Daylights, Live and let Die, License to kill and The Spy who loved me. TLD was to hard and repetetive. Lald was repetetive but fun (and had nothing to do with the movie), LtK was to short but fun ... but´I absoluley LOVED TSWLM on the Amiga. I think most people think TSWLM is just about the driving levels in the lotus because every review just covers the driving levels. Those are the first two levels and I guess a lot of people did not finish those levels and never knew what would follow: The underwater-Lotus sequence, the shooting in the Lipaurus, the jet-ski ande the finals level on Atlantis. For it´s time it was a great game.

I remember getting Goldeneye along with the Nintendo 64 console for Christmas 1997. I had loads of fun playing multiplayer with friends plus I enjoyed unlocking the cheats for single player. My James Bond fandom was through the roof at this point, so playing the game over and over never got old. Plus the Nintendo 64 really got me into console gaming, since I had only played a handful of NES games in the past. @Calvin Dyson, the reason for Goldeneye the video game coming out two years after the movie was due to the game originally being set for release on the SNES. When Nintendo canceled support for the SNES, and began working on the Ultra 64(the developmental name for the Nintendo 64), Rare shifted towards making the game for the new system. As result, the game missed out on being a tie in to the movie. Prior to this period, the only other game that was James Bond themed that I played was the NES version of James Bond Jr.(THQ published two games based on the cartoon. One for the NES, which was a platforming action game and the SNES version mentioned in the video above). The NES game is pretty good, despite having to be played twice in a row to see the proper ending. Despite never beating the game myself, I enjoyed playing it.* I have also played James Bond 007 for the Gameboy(a very fun game that is similar to the Legend of Zelda series but with the James Bond license), The World is Not Enough for the Nintendo 64 ( a underrated game, with some nice improvements from the Goldeneye formula despite it being published by Electronic Arts and not Rare) Agent Under Fire(Which I did not care for. The plot, and graphics seemed really low quality despite the game being based on a major film series). Plus, I played Nightfire first for both the GameCube and Gameboy Advance. NightFire (One of the first Gamecube games I ever owned, My friends and I really liked the multiplayer mode since it gave you some fun options) Everything Or Nothing (quite possibly the closest to date a video game came to copying the feel of the feature films), Goldeneye: Rogue Agent which was an interesting idea but poorly done. Plus, parts of the game felt more like a science fiction story than something from James Bond. Also, the difficulty level even on the easiest setting was really tough, the closer I got to the end. From Russia With Love( I enjoyed it despite the flaws present), Quantum Of Solace(Wii version which I recommend fans avoid at all costs) Goldeneye 2010 (a fun update to the original Nintendo 64 game, I wish that it had some unlockable content like the original had), Bloodstone (The Nintendo DS versions which is pretty decent) and 007 Legends (which I got rid of since I could never get past the first level). * I think that I might be one of few people that enjoyed James Bond Jr. I still own the action figures, the tie in novels, the comic book tie ins and I am still waiting for someone to release the show on DVD/ Blu Ray. Many other forgotten cartoons have been released on DVD/ Blu Ray so why not this one?

Born in '87. James Bond: The Stealth Affair was my first Bond game. Never beat it because of some stupid rubber band you had to find at the end and you had to use it to defeat the villain. Had fun, though.

The Duel also got a release for the Sega Game Gear, sadly it was an exclusive to European customers. It was also really short with only four levels. That said, I have been a Nintendo fan my whole life having had an NES and a Gameboy during my childhood. The Gameboy despite the technical limits of the system still had some fun games produced for it (especially licensed stuff) and I still play many Gameboy/Gameboy Color/ Advance games today.

Best Bond video game is easily GoldenEye. It was a centerpiece of my childhood. We even had the rumble vest despite it being incredibly ridiculous. Everything about the game was revolutionary: the multiplayer, the AI, the way the campaign changed based on the difficulty you selected. I also had some great times playing Nightfire multiplayer with friends. Everything or nothing was a gem as well. I feel like all the games went downhill after that. FRWL was good but after that....mostly garbage cash-grab half-ass efforts.

When will they make another Bond game? With all the new leaps they have made in technology in games they can make something really cool! I always thought a Telltale choice based/ point and click style videogame would be a good way to go for 007. Whatever they do, they should do something original and set in it's own world and not tied to the movies

As a PC gamer, I always found Goldeneye to be terribly overrated. The multilayer was a fun distraction, but it was never the game I suggested to be played when visiting my friends that owned an. N64. I really liked Everything or Nothing at the time. Very cinematic.

(To play the game files you will need an emulator, for Commodore 64 you can use the website virtualconsoles.com/online-emulators/c64/ and load the files directly on there.)
