I stayed a whole week at the South Point about 5 years ago and we loved it. So much to do there and they offer a shuttle service to the strip (it dropped us off at Aria). Blessings to you both during this Holiday season!
I've been telling my friends an family about this place. Mr Gaughan sure knows what people want, good value, great friendly service. This is what The Orleans was when Michael Gaughan owned Coast Casinos, he hasn't lost his touch, It's a great, fun place with a big enfasis in service, very friendly staff many of them where employees of the Orleans. Good job guys!!
I ❤ The South Point! Went there for the first time in 2008. Did all the things there: bowling, bingo, arcade, restaurants, cafe specials, movies, swimming pool and hot tub, slots, sports book, comedy club, even got my hair did at the salon! I have not tried their spa services yet though. The rooms are cozy and clean, and have everything you need. Love those slippers and took them home and they wash well. We celebrated New Year’s 2019 there, going into 2020. We had a view of all the fireworks on the Strip. You can’t go wrong with the South Point!
I absolutely love Southpoint! We usually stay at our timeshare next door. We used to stay at southpoint prior to purchasing our timeshare. We love the Big Sur Oyster bar. I always get the breaded scallops and shrimp , my wife gets the gumbo or jambalaya, and the kids swear they have the best fish sliders ever! I have had my hair cut their many times and had my shoes shined after. It's those little touches that I enjoy.

Love South Point Casino! we played bingo too. we will be back in November. Coronado, steak and egg for $6.45 Garden Buffet on friday, snow crab legs, shrimp and ect. loved it!

Thanks for the video. I have a 5 night stay planned for my Sept birthday My first one for Southpoint. I have stopped in there several times. I love the midnight steak and eggs special at the cafe. ($7 after tax). The Garden Buffet is good.

We love South Point especially the buffet and the late night specials at the Coronado Cafe. They also have some great reasonably priced shows in their showroom.

New follower. I have started staying at South Point in order to see a vocal group that has started performing at this property. Hotel is comfortable. I appreciate the free airport shuttle too. Nice variety of dining options that I still need to explore. This hotel is comfortable but from a visitor stand point I can only stay here or the strip. Without a car, it is too costly to rideshare to/from the strip for dining etc. So when I am in town for the particular vocal group, I will need to stay here. My rideshare from strip could exceed my ticket price for the show. When I am in town for another show, I will stay on the strip.
I've never seen a Sportsbook free of smoke like that. Maybe it's a non-smoking Sportsbook? If so, that's rare I would think... I wonder if they won their bet on the Soccer game? 😊

My hubby and I have been to Vegas about 6 times. We love the "South Strip." We usually stay at the Vacation Village timeshare next to South Point. We absolutely love South Point!
I usually stay at Paris L.V. or Caesars L.V. but Always eat at South Point! I love me some South Point Gambling too. GREAT for a Family stay. Great Value. 🥳👍👍👍👍👍

We go to Vegas two weeks out of the year and spend a lot of time at the SouthPoint. If you don't rent a car, just take the bus. There's a bus stop out front that goes to the Strip.
My family and I spend a whole week everything was amazing the only bad thing I'm not agree as much people around is the pool is closed at 8pm come on at least at 10pm please after this little inconvenient everything is perfect. Thank you
@@TurnItUpWorld I ate at the Buffet for brunch and gambled there , I haven't stayed there. I liked what I saw but I like the strip because you can do it without a car.
Wow..I am impressed but still prefer the strip. Think this is an entirely different destination like a weekend getaway for more leisurely relaxation...not how I define Vegas...which takes me 3 days to recover from when I get home. Thanks Carol, yes, we can understand why you would prefer the Strip. There is a free shuttle bus to the Strip but that is not for everyone. When is your next trip to Las Vegas? Merry Christmas!

The updated rooms have no carpeting, and they are terrible. The music, and TV sounds terrible without the cushion carpeting that they pulled out, and it was like staying at a Super 8. I love this place, but ask for a room with carpeting. Its like staying in a hospital room. Awful. The Del Mar DEli, and breakfast buffet were very good, and sportsbook is excellent. Plenty of free parking too.
I ate the best Hot Dog I ever had in this Casino, they were selling them on the casino floor for $1.00 when I was there in August ! I have a photo of it wish I could post it !
My son just moved to Las Vegas in September and he raves about South Point. Its on our list of places to visit, as he says they have the best oysters he's ever had. Im hoping for a Lobster roll, does anyone know where to get the best one? I'll be there in January to visit, Yay!
Thanks Janine, yes, South Point and their Oyster Bar are well worth checking out! To be honest, we are still searching for a reasonably priced high quality lobster roll in Las Vegas. We used to live in New England so are a bit spoiled when it comes to lobster rolls. Some people recommend Luke’s Lobster in front of the Fashion show mall, but a 6oz lobster roll will run you about $35. Let us know if you find a great place that we should check out!
I noticed I never win at South Point so I dislike it... LOL. Its like uncanny how unlucky I am at Southpoint so I avoid that place at all cost, even though a lot of locals love that place. IMO, the far superior local spot nearby is Silverton... It has a much more modern and just better atmosphere overall. And the gambling is better... lol.
Some Days The Slots Are GOOD In Return & Some Days They Just Take Your Money..👎😡👎 I Live Between South Point & The M Resort...But I Can Tell You South Point Is Way More Crowded Or Should I Say Not As Busy Than The M Hotel..Lol!
Unless it’s your first time going to Vegas, you shouldn’t be paying any money for a hotel room. Get a comp card from a hotel you like and spend like $50 in the slots and you will get a comped room.
I can’t put my finger on it but wifey is looking better than ever.😍I don’t know what it is because she was already gorgeous but something is different.
My wife and I have stayed at the South Point many times since they opened as the South Coast. We will likely not return as they decided to take away many of the comps I used to get like free rooms, no resort fee etc. I had a nice winning session and that was it no more free rooms for me. I talked to the casino host and was told a winning period could affect your comps.
