Going for a STEM masters that’s related to a business school, hopefully it turns out well! I believe alotta film related degrees just don’t provide enough value to justify the high costs (esp the likes of Columbia that are notorious for squeezing every single penny out of their masters students)

I feel like it's hard to address or gauge the ROI of engineering masters. You can get promoted and climb shi with just a bachelor's. You might get hired out of school with 10k more, but the formula here for ROI doesn't calculate how much you would make without the masters degree. How do you know that those 2 years working would necessarily boost your career more than raw work experience in the cs world?

True Rishon, definitely not a perfect study. The author of study (Preston Cooper) posted a medium article explaining how he came to conclusions - including comparing career without masters. Google “Preston Cooper How We Calculated the Return on Investment of a College Degree”

I dont entirely agree with the video but I can say one thing for sure that unless you arefrom very rich background going to a arts, humanities and literature is not a good idea. Thinking that going to a expensive private college will help you out but that's entirely false. At the end of the day it boils downs to how skilled you are, how well you are able to express yourself and how you communicate themselves. People have a 2 very extreme idea of college,1) Going to college will help and 2) Going to college is a waste. My point is neither, if you went to college and did nothing except of drugs, alcohol and hookups then don't expect your investment back. You can come from a bad college but if you have required expertise, experience and skills, everyone will hire you. Going to a fancy program with debts won't do any good.
