Zachef missed the opportunity to call Itto mono Geo spaghetti and meatballs. Itto’s noodle arms, Zhongli’s meatball, Alebdo’s flower as a plate and Gorou for the flag usually placed on one of the meatballs.
hoyo needs to add a non killable training dummy in the game so we can test damage. If it records your attacks too that would be so great for players to just see the difference rather than trying to record a play and pause it every frame to math out the damage being done on screen.
it'd be nice, but for now Masanori at midnight - 2am is mostly good for testing 1 rotation for almost every team I think. And if you don't know, Masanori in that period is 5x tankier for some reasons lol, and you have 5 minutes to spar with him instead of the usual 2

I disagree. Fridge is a heat exchanger, like air conditioning, it uses electricity to "separate" warm from cold, it's the most efficient way to heat stuff (using electricity) and probably the only reasonable way to cool stuff.. Owen uses combustible fuels or electricity (through electrical resistance) to release heat. If electricity is used it's much less efficient than heat exchangers, but it's easier to reach high temperatures for cooking.
well, you're extracting heat from chemical bonds in an oven, or extracting heat from electricity currents, so its not really the same thing. Theres nothing getting colder in an oven, there are atoms separating, others bonding, others rearranging in reactions that generate heat and electricity being transformed. So no cold region, only hot region

I am simply unable to fathom the people that do not appreciate Xiangling's efforts to help us in our journey through the abyss, just a 4 piece emblem, lvl80, talents 188, catch at 90, or even favonius, that is all you need to thank her and to let her help you with any difficulty you may have. But they STILL go against the idea of letting Xiangling be of help, such unreasonable people should not have the privilege of having a free Xiangling, they shouldn't even have the right to have any polearm character, nor bennett or xingqiu either, yet Xiangling still forgives and loves them equally (as food) and lets them use any character they want. We don't deserve Xiangling and all she has done for us, but we still need her, and she will always be there for us. Thank you XL OPPA. Favmen🙏
Yeah, Burgeon is not very good right now. But I bet this new unit "Dehya" will be amazing for Burgeon! Also, I can't wait to use her with Yelan/Xingqiu so her burst will vape the shit out of everything! Hoyo is so generous to put such a cute, overpowered and tall pyro waifu on the standard banner.
Lisa works but she is better in aggravate. Her only reliable way of proccing the cores is with her slow, high stamina cost charged attack or through RNG during her burst (worse chances in AOE). Her skill will basically never hit the cores and the same for her normals. You could however use an anemo character like Kazuha or Sucrose's burst to swirl electro that Lisa has applied on enemies in order to more reliably proc the cores. If Nahida is your dendro applier though you may sometimes lose the electro aura on enemies.
Kaeya's already been a perfectly functional freeze off-field DPS, too. People are underestimating him in favor of Rosaria, but imo Kaeya/Ayaka is an extremely comfortable pairing to play and has been my go-to freeze team ever since I got Kokomi (though I now play them with Mona, because Kokomi is on an EM build for Nilou).
The way I'm thinking of monogeo is that it's not the best, but it's the most reliable. There are hardly any floors that straight up counter geo/have enemies that 100% against geo. I only have to come up with 1 team for the Spiral abyss and rest assure that my Itto can take care of another chamber. Itto works really well against triple Mango Kinky and he can deal with bosses as well as mobs. Love my boy
I’ve been using clam Qiqi in hyper fridge and it’s just made the consecrated beasts a complete joke to get through. Fastest? Nah but I’m definitely never dying
Hey dad, I love the video ❤️ Something that I would like to see maybe in the future is prob solid scores or ratings on these teams with discussions on criteria such as: Complexity (difficulty to play), Primogem/Horizontal Investment (units/cons needed to reach the intended dps output) In-game/Vertical Investment (artifact/levels/materials to reach the intended dps output), - Energy Thresholds Damage Output (dmg on solid investment), Survivability, Flexibility (can the teams change according to specific needs while mostly maintaining its original playstyle?)
These heuristics would help people that aren't as in the weeds in terms of theorycrafting. When you already know how most of the pieces in the game interact, it's easier to forget that most people don't just understand how things in the game interact and stuff
I would also add just the pull value of the whole team as a whole, since if it uses units you’d want on your account anyway with little to no niche units, it would score higher.

Mono Geo Teams aren't just good, they're a Family, and nothing is stronger than Family. If there's a new Geo unit coming out, you know damn well they're gonna fit perfectly in the mono geo team, even at c0.
This video was so, so good. I never really liked Abyss videos/showcases and never cared much for clearing them, but this video really caught my attention until the very end and made me want to build better characters/teams. Also, I had taken a break since right before Dendro/Sumeru and recently returned to Genshin (at the end of the Raiden banner) and was still kind of lost on what to focus my resin on, so this guide helped a lot Thanks a lot, Zachef, please keep 'em coming and regards from Brasil 🇧🇷
Just skimming the chapters this seems like the type of video we've always needed for genshin. Great for new, old, casual and veteran players alike. The editing for the intro was top tier too. Zajef is well on his way to becoming one of the overall best content creators for genshin
I’ve said this before and I will say it again, Zajef is the best Genshin content creator for meta content by far. Very entertaining and a lot of good information advice. I love this video, I always use the "meta" teams cause is funny to me playing those teams and kill the abyss final boss with one rotacion without a high money investment, and when I get bored from those teams I play with Xinyan with albedo Zhongli and bennet, u need to balance ur Strong's teams and your funny teams
This is one of the reasons why I love Sucrose, versatile, powerful, she fits in many teams, makes the game a breeze and helps me clear all content, shoutout to Sucrose for being an awesome unit. I know team setup is part of it but Sucrose does more than 50% of the work.
im happy there's actually a funni food name for the team i've been running that I thought of on my own that was pretty fun(that being Saute). I've been trying out a team with ayato/nahida/bennett/kazuha and letting kazu trigger all the burgeons, of course its slower burgeon hits than someone like thoma but it gives a fun ayato comp and it feels nice since 3 of the 4 units on the team are doing big aoe damage constantly. might do a vid on it to showcase
god bless hour long zajef video edit: do this for every patch, it's probably the funnest genshin video i've watched, and the concept behind it is amazing. i would enjoy a lot more editions of this
Funny thing about keqing aggravate teams is that even in this particularly deadly abyss, and even with my extremely poor dodging skills, kaz and keq spend so much time zipping all over the place and spamming their ults that even just the healing from c0 yaoyao's E is plenty to keep them very comfortably alive on side 1.
Yeah, I noticed the difference between alhaitham burst and keqing burst in I frames vs the consecrated beasts. With keqing, she can’t get hit until you dodge out of her burst, while with alhaitham, he bursts, then gets knocked back while standing there, meaning it”s really easy to die.
I've been rlly enjoying hyperbloom teams with EM raiden, and now I have a reliable single target team for one half and international for the other. Dendro has been very fun overall.
This is one of the best content you have done so far Zajef. It really showcases your TC knowledge. I really love the suggestions for substitute characters to fit a comp if you don't have that one specific meta character. Keep it up!

I had been wondering about many of the definitions/combinations of the culinary team names and it was great to see a glossary of most of them, as well as their relevance to the current abyss. Great video! I feel like everyone will benefit from watching, there is something for both new and old players. Me for example, I cleared the abyss easily with hyperbloom teams on both sides but after that I wanted to try some other teams and this is perfect! I really would like this kind of video every update/abyss.

Thanks for the video, so much of the discussion around team comps are based on like older metas or older information and it's great to see a new snapshot. I thought all the discussions of variations on burgeon and hyperbloom were actually super helpful since so many guides just say "you can do x" without discussing what it actually does to the general performance of the comp. I'm on a brand new account and my current best team is lisa bloom but I'm relying on solo yaoyao for dendro app and have xq and yelan there just for comfort, definitely want to try dmc, kaeya, or beidou in the third slot. Trying yelan solo and going for more quick/aggravates also seems worth trying.
honestly, I don't understand spread/aggravate very much ... Do I need to focus on EM? Or is it the same with melt/vape and I need good crit stats as well?
@@Milchzahndose for build it's still quite similar to your normal melt/vape builds that need crit but now attack matters a little less and usually em anywhere around 250 and above is fine. You can check zajef's videos for detailed info
@@Milchzahndose Build a quicken unit just like how you would build a vape carry - they like lots of crit stats and em of at least 100 but ideally 200+ (however attack also matters, not for the quicken reaction itself but just their normal, non-quicken damage. good attack and em would be ideal). Their character level also matters, so you should level them to 90.
@@Milchzahndose you'd still wanna go for Atk/Crit/Elemental dmg, at least for Aggravate. Aggravate just makes EM substats and EM buffs not dead anymore for electro units. On spread, since all every dendro dps have EM scaling, you'd wanna prioritize EM over Atk and still consider Crit and Dendro DMG% (Nahida is pretty much an exception because of her passive. You can go triple EM with crit substats on her which is nice)
binged zajef's recent content for the past two weeks or so, and holy shit, i wish i found him sooner because before i understood why i disliked hypercarry teams, but didn't know good alternatives (didn't play the game for a while too). still can't 36* abyss bc skill issue at floor 12, but at least i'm getting there it's a bit dramatic to say, but i will always be grateful to zajef for showing me thundering furry, hyperfridge and xiaolad, because that helped me enjoy the game more and gave me a goal :') i hope i get c6 bennett someday. or my xingqiu past c1... or fischl past c0... yeesh. maybe by snezhnaya :'D
Played Tighnari spread for the first side and it demolished all the chambers with no issues, such an underrated unit. My team went Tighnari, Yae, Nahida, Zhongli
@@otaku-chan4888 i run her because she is strong but she isnt necessary in tighnari's teams at all, i've ran the team with fischl, kuki, and yaoyao and still got 36 stars easily
I've been enjoying salad teams like Nahida, Fischl, Kazuha, Barbara. Probably only works because of the abyss blessing making Fischl do insane damage (like 13k on her A4 procs), but right now it feels pretty strong. Kinda wish I had Kokomi since she's basically just Barbara but better.
I second Hyper-Fridge. Brings a lot of comfort along with all the benefits you get from fridge. Layla works well and I've also tried Diona. Both of them being strong shielders certainly adds to that comfort level, too.

Al Haitham has carried my ass through a lot of abyss runs since his drop I think him and Nahida are so interchangeable it’s insane or pair em together and demolish everything

Been a Noelle stan since launch basically, so playing Noelle burgeon has honestly been pretty fun lol. She's always been fairly flexible with 2geo-2flex, but doing something other than double hydro, XL+Bennett, or mono geo is nice. The temptation to C6 my Bennett just to get access to Xinyan mono pyro and thundering furry is increasing with each patch. Just terrified of losing Bennett for a potential future team that really won't want the pyro infusion. HYV really needs to let us toggle constellations already T_T
Just do it. The only teams it would prevent are physical and it would have some negative impact on teams that want to react in a certain way but need to auto to trigger xingqiu swords etc. Physical sucks and for the other thing you can auto cancel before they hit while retaining sword procs. There won't be a new character whose infusion can be overwritten.
We have over 50 units and so many viable support options in genshin now. Benny's C6 barely ruins any teams as another commenter said. It's not taboo anymore, it's a relic from the early days when support options were limited. Besides do you really wanna have to rely on him for every future team? Just take the plunge :D
@@stu3yy_ agreed 💯. Someone gonna come up and say not to because it will ruin future comps, but honestly a lot of new comps are getting infusions not overridden and I doubt that will change with a future character...
I realized the other day that my Kuki was on a electro dmg goblet instead of an em one. My Kuki is also lvl 70/70 and even with all of that I was still tearing it up in abyss
Burgeon on 2nd side is very strong, I can attest to that. Used Nahida/Xingqiu/Thoma and slapped Diona there for additional layer of survivability + additional core generation and it cleared really fast.
My fav comfort team is also Hyperfridge - with Nahida, Yelan (or Xingqiu), Kuki and Rosaria (which happens to be the only cryo unit you forgot to mention lol)
very helpful video! gives me some insight on the kind of teams I want to build for the future. I like wanderer so a hypercarry team there seems like a good option, and for the second team I'll build up a hyperbloom (don't have nahida, don't have ayato, don't have yelan or kuki... gonna take a while but I have 300 wishes and a dream) so godspeed to me

Once I was, at Floor 7 struggling to kill abyss mages with Yoimiya and dying to hillichurls with Eula, but after this video, I am now comfortably clearing Floor 12 with Chinese Gordon Ramsay and her pet bear. Thanks to Our Lord and Savior Zajef77, my parents who once berated and forsook me have reowned me, the bullies who ridiculed me for playing a weeb gacha game now bow at the might of my pyronado, and I've been asked out by 7 different girls since I've cleared floor 12. Unfortunately though, I had to reject them all, as I'm happily married to OPPA XL. My sincerest thanks to my benefactor, Zyox's (boy)friend, for your profound and magnanimous Genshin Impact on my life. But that's all for now, my wife is quite tired and exhausted, so I need to perform a single, swift flame strike that deals Pyro DMG and creates 2.25 Elemental Particles for her.

The video was good but now I am hungry. Jokes aside, one team I have been enjoying a lot (not as much in this abyss though) is air fryer. The best part is when you misjudge the distance to the large group of enemies in Venti's burst and Kazuha dies midair during his skill. Best laugh I had in awhile.
i used my Wanderer hypercarry (either Zhongli or Thoma) to clear second half of floor 12. Never underestimate his charged attack spam it was very good against the Kenkis and the Pokemon trainers last chamber!!
Just something to share with Eula vs ASIMON. Generally, you'd want to use Eula's burst when ASIMON is in the disabled state. It gives her ample time to prepare her burst before ASIMON starts to turn invisible again. And her Electro teammate can disable ASIMON pretty consistently.
For melt ganyu, replacing xiangling with nahida and using sucrose/kazu instead of zhongli makes it way easier to manage rotation and overall I'd say improves dps. Like, due to all buffs, every shot does no less than 200K combined. But, this way we turn Ganyu into a hyper carry and that means we need way more investment into her. Plus it's way harder now, since we don't have a shielder anymore. Also a big con is that this team takes 3 amazing supports to function, limiting our choice for another chamber. Also, with high investment and ganyu's burst, nahida variant with kazu just turns into afk 20 seconds clear.
Offensive Mona Driver Hyperbloom is great. A lot of hydro. And the AoE blooms create a unique niche to it + Even in Burst Animation you keep making all yours reactions, (blooms and hyperblooms) just use the Mona E before the Mone Burst
i've been thankful to you for introducing me to thundering furry bc razor was my first dps and i've been using him EM taser builds way before dendro dropped. Currently building Yaoyao and wondering if a Hyperfridge with Ayato, Raiden/Kuki and Kaeya is a good substitute for Yelan / DMC.
My key takeaway from this video is since kazuha is the chicken man. His friend is killed by Hector so that means Raiden is Hector. In conclusion, Raiden canonically shits her pants.
I love those super long videos and the accuracy of the video. I personally cleard this abyss with my none f2p vertical investment account and with my f2p account and your Videos of game mechaics and types really helped my f2p account I've gone with Raiden National & Nilou Bloom on my vertical investment account and on my f2p account i've gone with hyperbloom double hydro (Kuki,Yelan Xingqui dendro mc) & Taser Kokomi (with Kokomi & succrose sharing field time because i wanted to live)
