My favorite one is Makita GA5030R, but own 3 Hilti’s (2 cordless, 1 corded), all my grinders are 125mm (5inch), I like to use bigger blades, I also use 2 mini grinders for kitchen splashbacks

Nice, I just feel you loose finesse with a bigger blade, To chunky for detailed work, as you can't get them where you need them. But again all depends on what you're used to for sure

Been using dewalt, also makita, Milwaukee, all very similar. Usually the switches are the first thing to go. I’m intrigued, don’t know why I haven’t bumped into this grinder yet, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for it. Thanks.

Nice, Yeah it is a funny one as it's been around a while, But it's not advertised massively...It's like a kept secret, ha. Yeah give it a go, They are great!

It would be perfect, but it lacks kickback control. I thinks it's a necessity today, something like ABS in a car.

Deffo would be a nice touch, I don't think I've experienced any bad ones over the years. But extra safety is always good, Unfortunately it normally comes at the expense of the other qualities.

@@thebespokebloke I think it would be a worthful tradeoff. When you think just how many injuries could be prevented. And assuming just a minor injury that leaves you in pain for couple of days, and prevents you working for the rest of the day, is worth extra 10-20 EUR. Not to mention the gruesome ones. That tech has become so cheap that from my point of view, it's a common sense to integrate it in all the products. BTW, there are also Bosh variable speed series like GWS 750 S or GWS 9-115 S, They are both under 100 EUR, and probably worth checking. I'm not a user, but I've noticed that professional floor layers and tilers also have them.

@@kornelijekovac9793 My kind of point was not the price, but that you loose the size and weight of this grinder with like the 12 series, Which is what makes this grinder so good. But you never know what the future brings 🤞

Perfect timing for this video, I am just looking to get an angle grinder for tiles. Do you have a preferred disc to use with it?

Awesome, You won't be disappointed! The Rubi TCR Diamond discs (red one's) Are really good, and pretty long lasting. I use them or atm I'm just trying out the Bihui B-Speedy Disc (Blue) Which seems pretty much on par with the Rubi.

Haha nice, Sounds like you are a Makita man through and through! I always thought they were smooth, Just always felt a bit chunky to me though.. Ever tried the slimline Bosch?
