@@RodriChapin The box has a warning on it about not applying the anti fog Rain-X to coated lenses. It was the first thing I thought to use on my glasses, but I don't want to risk compromising my anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings whatsoever.
If you pause at the 2:40 mark the lens that fogs has the mask on the outside of the lens while the other lens that doesn't fog is tucked under the lens. Would like to see the test with the mask in the same place for both sides. Thanks.
I have to wear a mask and glasses for 9 hours every day for school and even though there are other people who also wear glasses, I feel like I’m the only one with that problem. Then I have to rearrange my glasses to a more uncomfortable position on my face and it’s really annoying. This product looks so helpful though! Thank you!
The fog test at time 2:40 is exaggerated as you did not place the mask on correctly, purposely allowing air breath to fog the right lens up. Properly fitting N95/KN95 masks prevent fogging, however, outpouring moist warm air from the lungs mask is scattered and glass lenses that are chilled will fog. There are antifog cloths from Amazon that work well with long results.
I recently started using an Anti-fog Microfiber cloth from LOOY korea and it works like a charm! Just have to give my lenses a wipe before heading out and the coating can last for up to 12 hours! I ended up buying a few more pieces to gift to friends and family. :)
As soon as I saw this I ordered it on Amazon. I can only wear glasses at work and the struggle is real with masks and fogging up. This product has worked great! First day using it today but no complaints! Easy application and still going strong.

liquid soap that you wash your hands with the soap that's in pumps ,get a bead on your thumb and finger rub it softly on both sides of lens all over ,then wipe it off with a soft cloth or tissue and its done, and cheap .
I tried this today and I live in Houston and of all days we have little to no humidity ( we have a "cold front " and the low thia am was 77 degrees right now with 65% humidity but supposed to th 85 humidity this afternoon).. i did mask test and no fog, I boiled water and no fog. So far I am impressed
Good thing I got lasik last year because wearing glasses with masks have to absolutely suck and I could never wear contacts so I got really lucky on my timing 😅
Hi, wanted to know. About lasik, what was your spectacles number i have been using spectacles since age 11 for almost 19 yrs number rised from -2 to -5 fed up of using spectacles while using it in bike ride due to fogging.
What a relief to have a saviour like this. So annoying that mask fog. Hopefully one day improvements will mean i can wear contacts but in the meantime I’ll investigate this option thank you.
You are so smart doc 😂 @ 2:38 to wear the mask. The mask is under the glass with tight fit on left side and the mask is over the glass on right side so that air enters the inside of glass and fogs it 👏 Thank me later guys aftr finding his trick 😂😂😂
Thank you for the advice about Fog Stopper...also great for winter use, coming into a warm building. Also, I'd like to recommend a great product for cleaning glasses...(no, I don't sell it!). It's called Smitty's Glass Wax...a seller of the product demo'd it at a fair several years ago, and I was 'hooked' on it. It sells for about $15.00 online, and that 1 fl oz lasted me nearly 2 years. It's great for phone screens, too!
just wanted to share one of my little eyeglasses (funny)horror story. so a few years ago i got a new prescription and things were always a little blurry and i would get headaches constantly. i went to the eye doctor a year ago (a whole new doctor in a different city) and he was so confused because my eyesight got super bad from the last time i went in. he then asked more questions and then he started laughing!! he said i’ve been wearing the wrong prescription glasses! just thought it was funny so i wanted to share :)
I wish I had seen these videos back in September, because here in Indiana, I lost my confidence in my new job, they made us wear so much PPE's including masks and goggles over my scrip glasses, that they fogged up so very badly, after 3 weeks, i just walked off the job, quit, and was fired. All over fog on goggles and my glasses. This was the highest paying job i ever had in 50 years of working in the United States. I was working in a parts warehouse inside SIA auto plant in Lafayette, Indiana. I will never forget my time at SIA of Laf, Ind. Very frustrated but lessons learned the hard way.

HEY~!! When you put your glasses on and the mask. The mask was clinging to the outside of the glasses when you breathed and it fogged up and the mask was against your face on the other side to stop the fog from getting to that other "fogless" lens.
Currently on Amazon for $20..ouch! I'll stick (pun intended) with the tape solution. Fashion tape is both double-sided and hypoallergenic, so that is a good option for tape that is not visible.

@@leslieyin7644 ONLY 30$ ?!! Seems high, but it depends on the amount you receive. Many on Amazon are just 10 to 20 ML and are around 15$, that is high for such a small amount with common ingredients. IMHO.
In the video at 2:40 as you demonstrated that your right lens fogs up easily and left one doesn't, you have an edge of your facemask over right lens and under left one. That means lenses didn't have the same conditions and left lens was without fog. Do you wanted to cheat us? Just sain.
Will try this! Any tips to make eyes clearer/ whiter, old blood vessels that had burst leave the eyes looking dirty and dull after a while. Does a lemon juice rinse work?
I don't know about the lemon juice as it is not something taught or used as a treatment that i know of. but the acidity is around a pH of 2, which is very acidic to theeye and could cause a burn. Overall reducing inflammation on the eyes surface help with reducing redness. For photos and interviews i like to use, Here is an older video (wow just watched that - why was I so close to the camera?) lol. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Gn8Q-ear06w.html
I work in a freezer, where I'm constantly going in and out, and leaving the freezer into regular ambient temperature causes my glasses to fog right up instantly. This is not good at all, especially when operating a forklift. Hopefully this works
I have been just using a face shield instead of a mask since my glasses fog up so badly and also because masks make my face too warm. Back when I worked in medicine, it was obviously essential to wear a mask with certain patients long before the pandemic and it was annoying. I used to actually hold my breath so I could see my watch while I was taking vitals. If I couldn't hold my breath that long, I'd try to glance at things around my glasses, but then I'd have to put them much closer to my face.
I also prefer a shield, to allow for fresh air... But the more I read about masks, the more I believe that a mask is the best option to prevent spreading breath particles. From what I have read, it seems that the mask does reduce my chance of catching something, but more highly effects the risk of me passing something on to others. So now when I see people in the store, or on the train, not wearing a mask over their nose and mouth, I just think, "if you have something and give it to me, I'm gonna punch you in the elbow!". Especially these people wearing the "gators" Those masks do nothing to stop the spread of anything.
@@MichaelFinkCMT Yeah, masks are better and I only ever use the face shield when I'm also outside. I always always wear a mask if I'm inside or if there are too many people around. The face shield is just when there are a few people who might get too close before I can get my mask on so I at least have something. I nearly died of COVID-19 last March so this thing is no joke and we still don't know for sure if people who have already had it can get an asymptomatic infection, plus it's just respectful of others to wear your mask when you have to be kind of near them because the anxiety of it all is bad for people in and of itself. I don't wear the mask in the car or when I ride my bike because seeing becomes more important then but I'm also never anywhere near anyone at those times either.
I can’t believe that a product like that existed my glasses were getting foggy when I bought it and that happened I thought it was because I bought it in the internet all the store were closed and that was my only option beside they were cheaper with everything you need to have in the glasses and offered to buying and paid in installments nobody do that anywhere as far as I know I was worried that was a mistake but it seems nobody complained about that it seems just happened to me. The glasses fit me exactly I don’t have any complaint about that. Thank for the information now I know what to look for
If you’ll notice, he did not squeeze the metal to form to his nose. It doesn’t matter how far under my lenses I put my mask... And I usually try to sit my glasses down onto my mask... they always fog up. The only difference in the way his were set is that the one under the mask would have fogged up on both sides instead of just on the side closest to your eye.
I quit getting any coatings on my glasses 2 years ago. I have had Mutch better luck keeping them clean and scratch free.if I do get a scratch I can easily polish it out.
Is necesary spent money? Do we have another solution? I think Crizal is a good option if you need anti fog lenses. What is your opinion about crizal? I will appreciate it!
Crizal is a brand of coatings for the glasses. they make great products. I have never tried their anti fog lens coatings myself but I LOVE their anti-reflective.
Dr. , can you use it on the Plastic Face Shields we use for protection?? Thanks. I've been wearing glasses since 4th grade !! So I love eye Doctors who take care of our sight.👓 😎💖
So....at 2:38 when you tested the fogginess of it, the one with no fog had the glasses sit on top of the mask while the fog side, the mask was in front of the glasses...
I use Rain-X Anti -Fog,for my goggles and sunglasses, because I ride a bicycle all year long, and don't like the wind hitting my eyes. Here is how you use it,wash them with soap and water, you don't have to do it every time, you apply it,If there not dirty I'll clean them with white vinegar and tissue, then dry them with tissue, then apply the Rain -X Anti-Fog,let it dry for at least 30 seconds,do both sides of the lenses,it gives them a mirror like appearance from the outer lense,I use that same blue cloth, you use, lol.and like you said don't rub too hard,or you will have to give a second coat, which isn't bad either,I hope that help's anybody,do both sides in and out,of the lenses.
I've been wearing lenses for years now and never had any problems with them, but since we're wearing face masks my lenses don't feel comfortable anymore and my eyes are very irritated. What do you think about that? What can I do? And sorry for my bad English 😅
Did you test it in real cold weather? My glasses have several layers of film covered, which won't get fog in normal weather (like the test condition you made, inside a house). However, it is easy to get fog outside in cold weather. I just want to get a hack product can work in cold weather.
Will using wet lense wipes affect the coating of the anti fog? I have to at least clean my glasses once a day or the oils from my face that get on them will drive me crazy.
Came back to this video because the product didn’t work at all- boo 😒. Going to try again, this time I will rub it in gently... that could have been my issue. Will report back 👍🏼
Hi, I have a question: I recently heard of a story about a girl who lost her eye sight from one day to the other just when she was 16. Apparently, she was suffering from a Retina disease (don't remember the name) which led to the destroying of her cones and rods in just one day. I cannot forget her story, it didn't really let me sleep these past few days and tormented me! I myself am short-sighted, wear glasses/contacts with ca. -7 diopters. My biggest fear is losing my eye sight, but my mom is telling me that someone who is short sighted can't get blind. What do you think?
@@DoctorEyeHealth I don’t know what ICL is. All I know is that I couldn’t pass my vision test for the COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE and the doctor took off the cataracts and implanted lenses. Now he wants paid. ( go fund me anyone).
Searching the name “fog stopper” on Amazon pulls up an all white container with the same name as the other one is “currently unavailable.” Not sure if its the same liquid or even the same company, but I did find the transparent container w/the green liquid by just searching it on the internet and ordered some for $7 w/$10 shipping, waiting now to see if it’s the same bottle that I’ll get.
Hello Dr I have a Question please do answer me . I got toxoplasmosis 6 months back . Treated it with antibiotics. Recovered almost 50% of eyesight. Today i got 1 floater in the same eye. My question is Does the retinal scar after treating toxoplasmosis can cause retinal detachment ? Should i go with vitrectomy ? Thanks Dr
What is it made of? Is it really safe to use for long periods of time or will it wear out my lenses? If my prone to greasing my glasses, will it be less effective?
So how long does it last for exactly? I am in and out of my car all the time for work and around this time of the year when the heat and humidity is high i have the A/C blasting. So of course when I exit the car, instant fog!
My glasses doesn't fog with mask a lot but sometimes it does.. it isn't a problem to me cause I got used to it since my glasses always fog when getting out of the car cause of the weather (we keep the AC on all the time) but I recently started wearing Contact lenses and it's not an issue anymore! And I did watch all your previous videos for beginners and they helped me a lot thanks!
Anybody else notice the treated lenses looked like it did have a little fog towards the top and when he put the mask on the untreated side was under the mask and the treated side was outside the mask, so would not fog anyway.
Interesting! I honestly did not know Nikon made ophthalmic lenses outside of condensing lenses we use for examinations. But I will look into it! Thanks a bunch!
I switched to contacts as soon as the my work started having us wear masks. I tried a couple different tricks, but nothing worked for me, ill have to try this stuff
Hello Dr my brother have that problem I have a Question please do answer me . I got toxoplasmosis 6 months back . Treated it with antibiotics. Recovered almost 50% of eyesight. Hey I have a really important question. So yesterday I went to go get a new prescription and the lady put me in the machine where they show you the little White House . However the house was a little blurry when she checked my eyes and got my prescription. Does the house have to be super clear for a “perfect prescription “
Very good question! That insturment took a measurement of the curvature to your eye and the rough optical power of your eyes. It is normal for the image of the house to go blurry to clear and back to blurry again. Many doctors use that as another measurement to help them find the best prescription for you, but those instruments are never perfect so your doctor always double checks things.
Hey Doc, quick question, I just got 30day lenses for the first time, I was using glasses before, I am pretty comfortable with lenses now, but how do I know when the lenses time is over, how do I know when they wont be usable anymore, do they get blurry or softer or? Thanks in advance!!
Am I the only one who can't use anti fog spray because glasses doesn't look clean and transparent after applying it? I bought other anti fog spray (also specially for prescription glasses) and it really protects from fog but I am very annoyed having dirty glasses.
I reccomend Bosch and Lomb if haven't had contacts before. They are a good price for monthly lenses and have good rebates on daily lenses as well. Alternatively, Air Optix by Coopervision are great for visibility (astigmatism) and have a good oxygen exchange just in case you accidentally fall asleep in them.
Doctor are there any treatments available for chloropsia? Cause whenever I reach out to doctors about this issue of greenish hue vision, they just nod their heads and don't say anything, I found out about chloropsia on a reddit post btw.
No treatments that I am aware of, perhaps tinted lenses would work. Some medications can cause color changes to a persons vision. As example, sildenafil (viagra) can turn your vision blue.
