They should legalize poacher hunting and place bounties on their heads. make a huge business out of hunting poachers and you would have more supporters and money through animal activists.
Actually they kind of do. In Lesotho most of them caught in certain reserves are executed on the spot. That's no bullshit either. The only reason why these guys have less lethal weapons is because it's a TV show

I think the best punishment for poachers are getting one of their organs taken and sold and the funds collected should be used to support the security of these animals
Wish we had a private military who soul purpose is to protect wildlife from poachers, and I mean military with choppers and armour cars with heavy artillery scouting 24/7, multiple infantry patrols all around wildlife parks and outside of parks, having stations with drones, scanning for activities and having permission to kill on sight, no matter what. I'm usual against killing other humans, but this is getting out of hand, and I don't want to live in a world without exotic wildlife.

I am so thankful to all of you who are courageous enough to take these poachers on and protect those amazing animals. Without them we are definitely less than before. I pray that you can round up many many more to help you protect these beautiful creatures. Thank you to the recruits who endured just for them and thank you for the ones who tried. I think it would be a great idea do legalize poacher hunting. That would reduce if not eliminate poaching of rhinos and elephants. Imagine americans or russians with a hunger for rhino poacher hunting.
Nepal is the only country to acheive zero poaching year , not only once but for three successful years .. African wildlife officials , african soldiers should come to Nepal and learn a lot from us
This company only awards full time paid contracts to South African citizens. You pay a load of cash for the course but unless you are SA passport holder its game over. It's a money spinner for all involved. You pay the course fee, you bring your own kit or pay them for it, you then work your bollocks off for them for fuck all then go to the bush (for SA blokes) and get a crap wage in return. BTW, you are not soldiers after 30 days of training. To call yourselves that is just an insult, your a muppet that paid way over the top for a few pictures and stories to tell the folks back home. If you want to soldier in Africa without getting financially raped in the interim, join the Legion. Djibouti is lovely this time of year.
I say for every poacher caught, they throw them in a lions den to be eaten alive & feed them to the crocs & any other apex predator they can find. Other animals can help overcome poachers too

the protrack website says that you must be a SA citizen otherwise by law you cannot be a full member, only a 'volunteer'. It says, as a non citizen you are only allowed to be a "third pair of eyes" you cant operate a firearm, be paid a wage or be an official protrack soldier. Is there anyway around this? How did Matt Bracken do it? I'm Australian and i have a strong passion for this, but because im not a SA citizen this makes things a lot more difficult.

As a South African working on the electrical security fences for conservation camps, I'm glad to say that one of the camps hasn't had a single incident since October 2020 and the white rhino population has increased 10% there! Sadly though, I'm not working on any fences for black rhinos.

Wow! I love this video and I love these guys!! I hope everything good in this universe protects them and allows them to flourish and grow. I agree with the fact that how much I love that it's legal to kill poachers! This needs to go on mainstream media immediately!!! To hopefully recruit new members, enlighten the public on this tragedy and inhumanity. There are many people in this world that would like to join me army, rangers, seals, you name it and for whatever physical or mental reasons even reasons such as having tattoos cannot join the armed forces but might have a very good chance of joining these guys! So please whoever did this video try your hardest to promote for new recruits please!! WTF? All that training, abuse, the stupid war paint, etc... Then after 8 minutes of watching this, they couldn't even catch some skinny poacher that was only like 3 feet away from like 10 of them? That's embarrassing... Not sure what all the celebration was about. According to the team, they found 4 rhino skeletons - so where were they? At the village getting drunk? This is a complete joke... Come back to America and do something more worthwhile with your need to do good for animals here, where we need you.
So many of you negative commentators just show a remarkable level of ignorance of poaching behaviour, in the African context at least. Which group of animals is least likely to go extinct due to poaching, ...... Well quite simply, domesticated animals, cattle pigs, chickens and the like. Which begs the question why is that so? The answer is simple, domesticated animals have a defined monetary value to the person who raises them nurtures them and ultimately gets money when he/she sells them or slaughters them. Any arguments with that?? No I thought not. So why are "wild " animals poached? Well because no one person or group of persons has invested monetary value in "wild" animals by very definition. So while Anti poaching units and efforts are a vital part of the conservation effort, the other pillar of conservation is giving the local population a very direct stake in the value of the "wild" animals. Do you think that a group of locals who would get X amount of dollars when the sell a "wild" kudu from their area, to be harvested by a game hunter, (good money might I add)would allow an outsider to take that away from them. Hell you bet not. He is stealing from them. That and sustainable tourism, education andethical sustainable value to locals, hunting with anti poaching methods are the only way to conserve "wildlife". That is reality.
Sorry it should say worst anti-pouching footage ever! The dude is/was in god damn plain view and still they lost him’ wtf? I’ve seen videos from the 80’s and 90’s from French and African soldiers in anti pouching campaigns getting all kinds of kill-shots. The maker of this video should check the history and then name his videos like they should be called: we are still training everything and it’s taking a long time to put it to real use footage. No hate but this isn’t really exiting to watch and it truly isn’t the best footage. Now that being said, keep up the training guys!

70$ of Africa's elephants have been poached in the last 10 years. This is a valid object of military training. If someone has to kill animals to survive because they're starving, that's one thing and understandable. But that's not what most of poaching is about. It's about money. A few months ago, poachers shot down a spotting helicopters and after it crashed they shot the surviving pilot to death. It's worse of course when it's a rhino or elephant than a herd animal like a kudu, but there has to be regulations and limits as to how many can be taken and those limits must be respected. Same here in America.
This is the wrong approach. The effort should be on the "demand" side. The poachers are simply attempting to satisfy a lucrative demand thanks to Asian and Chinese superstition. Educate or threaten the Asians sufficiently to curb their appetite for Rhino horns and the poaching will decrease correspondingly
To address poaching...you need to go to the top of the pyramid. The bottom is simply taking an animal with one bullet and a few dollars...even the meat is valued sometimes to compensate for the cost of the bullet. The top of the pyramid is replete with big spenders and markets that pull through such trade. Shoot/address the idiots at the top and you will truly eliminate poaching. People risk their lives to protect animals without sufficient incentives; they should at least see and know that traders and buyers are being punished accordingly.

This exercise is what you call men and they train for as long as it requires..they hurt..they are strained out..they are gifted men that do there best to help and finish what they begin..until there .ission is over and hopefully successful..
