I reduce the sugar to 3/4 of a cup,(3/4 cups of granulated sugar, 3/4 cups of brown sugar) except for the powder sugar, you need to use a cup in order to get a firm icing. My cake was fine and very sweet, so if you want to reduce the sugar I recommend using 3/4 of a cup to still get that sweetness. If you want it just slightly sweet I guess using half a cup would be fine.
Hello! I would love to try this recipe that seems very yummy but unfortunately I cannot put this much sugar in it. Is it possible to put a lot less sugar? If so, do you know how much sugar I can not put for it to still bake properly? Thank you in advance for your answer and for this video!
You could try to eliminate the sugar for coating of the apples, the swirl and the glaze. The taste outcome will be different, but the sugar total is 66% less!
Wow!! 😍 No question this is the best tasting Apple Cake but one or two tips.. for a heavier icing drizzle, replace whole milk with cream. The heavier the milk fat the heavier the drizzle.. a pinch of vanilla in there too and you will bite on your finger, trust me. 😅 The other tip (I almost forgot), add roughly chopped walnuts to cake batter and your partner will pop the question! 😂 Oops, one more thing, personal experience.. noticed whole wheat flour pairs best when it comes to cinnamon Apple desserts.
