Best and Easy Taco Seasoning
Enjoy your Taco Tuesday meal.
Recipe
1/2 cup chilli powder
3 Tbsp onion powder
3 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp oregano
3 Tbsp cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp smokey paprika
1 Tbsp black pepper
Option: Spicy Taco add 1/4 tsp to a single serving or 1 - 1 1/2 Tbsp to the entire seasoning batch.

Hi, I’m in Australia and we don’t have American chilli powder. What can I use, or what is in it?

Hello @JenniTeixeira i do believe you can purchase MCCormick chilli powder from Walmart (www.walmart.com/ip/McCormick-Kosher-Chili-Powder-2-5-oz-Bottle/10308078?from=/search) Chili powder is just ground dried chili peppers. I hope you are able to find this in your local grocery store. Please let me know if you can find it. I’m not sure what you mean by “American” Chili Powder. You should be able to find it in a Mexican Section of your grocery store or in with the spices. Cheers David 🇨🇦

Do you add water like the store-bought taco seasoning?

I suggest adding the seasoning to your ground beef with no water first as there will be natural water and fat from the cooking of the beef. If you need more I would add the water a teaspoon at a time. The store bought taco seasoning mixes have ingredients that need the water to make a gravy like substance.
