There is nothing special about the cloud, it's literally tech that people used to do on their own servers but at scale using other companies tools. And the more I look into the certification paths, its like most certifications, just a cash grab

Your videos are very motivating Lucy, thanks. I was in the process of shopping for certifications after my RHCE, not really knowing which direction to commit to, and you sold me on AWS. I take my SAA exam next Friday and I’ve been messing with Ai for about a year. I had no idea there was a Machine Learning route and that’s definitely something I want as a career. Glad you touched on this 🙏🏿🙏🏿. Thank you

Lets learn cloud ! Thank you for this Lucy. Unbeknownst to me, I was already following the Machine Learning Engineer path. I just passed my Sysops Associate and now studying for the Developer Associate. I was already going to do Machine Learning Specialty later down the line because I had a personal interest in it. But now with this new information I might just go for it sooner than later. I would Love to be a Machine Learning Engineer.

Really love your podcast! Hopefully, you could sometime share your insights on the 2 different Cloud Learning paths: the one for people who wants to switch to IT career and the one for people who has a bunch of IT experience (over 20 years). I mean - sure - if someone is new into the IT field, those Learning paths may work well as those cover from the very tech basics to advanced topics. But - in my experience - people who has a diverse experience across all IT tech fields - including The Cloud - those learning paths just do not work as there is a lot time wasted in walking again through the all basics randomly across Learning Path lectures - a really slow down and discouraging experience. Just merely a topic suggestion (:

Hello Lucy. "Let's Learn Cloud" I like your videos and suggestions very much. I am already studying for the first certification (Cloud Practitioner) using the course you suggested by Stephane Maarek. I am having some issues with instances such as the user data script: The message "Hello World..." is not being displayed. Where would I find support? Would he provide that, that you would know of? new to this. so im interested in the solutions architect. do i now need to go do all those certifications or can i shoot straight to the solutions architect associate then do pro after and stop there? ? also, where do i learn this stuff? on their website or udemy or coursera? how do i know if these otheR THIRD PARTY entities who offer this certification are scams or legit? there is no one school to go to for this, its all self study and frstrating as hell. Im in south africa and i dont want to be scammed. any advice would help as to where to study this with a highly accredited institution that i can also write these exams with and that isnt gonna cost me an arm and a leg and where i can get some instant support ... thanks

Hi, thanks for sharing your knowledge :). I'm already working about 2+ year experience as a system administrater(Linux & windows) in cloud computing (IAAS). So can I skip cloud practitioner certification cource? Also what AWS certification will match to my career AWS SysOps or SAA? not coding hehe I suggest separate video content for this > For system administrater work exp. what AWS path to choose?

I wanted to go into a solutions architect role but was highly recommended to get into this institute first to be a developer first before jumping into a solutions architect. It took me about 1 year after the associates - but I wasn’t studying the whole year! Probably need about 4-5 months of proper learning
