I WOULD ADVISE TAKING ANOTHER BANK ASAP! I had an account with N26 for over 4 years, and everything seemed fine. Now they have suddenly closed my account, without any prior notice. I'm trying to get the money back I had on my account, thousands of euros, AND I'M ALREADY WAITING OVER 2 MONTHS!! The customer service on the chat says they can't help me, I have to send an email, and very rudely just close the chat. I've sent over 10 emails and never got ANY response in over 2 months. They also don't have any number you can call. This bank is very unreliable, if you google it, you will find many more of these cases 😭 Revolut is a way better option! Really, take another bank while you still can freely!

Funny, I've been using N26 for a few years now, and there were many features I didn't know! One important comment to say... You can choose the language for the app and customer care is also available in different! English, German, Spanish, French and Italian are today available (Pretty rare for many German banks)

Great Video Bharat. Even I have opened N26 (Basic) one year before, using only for investment purpose. Spaces feature supports to track invested money in different platforms for stocks, ETFs, etc.

I advise you strongly to go with a regular bank and not one of these online banks! I was a costumer with n26 bank since 2019 till one day they just canceled my account with absolutely no alert! I was left with a 950€ deficit and no way to contact them apart from an email that they don't even anwser anymore! Yes the app was great and all, but i prefer having an older app, less functionalities but to keep my money!

oh man i've been with them for over 2 years since i moved here from UK. Back in UK I had MOnzo which was on the rise, also an online bank. I have nothing but praise for N26, especially since they introduced the maestro card as well which kinda eliminates the need for a 'giro kont/ec karte'! I've noticed though that Germans are a lot more reluctant to trying or switching to it than foreigners.

Hey everyone, since N26 does not offer credit cards, have you been able to rent cars? I like to travel and almost always rent a car wherever I go. Rentals are very strict on using a credit card with the main driver’s name. So for me, this is important. Anyone with experience on this? Thank you

At least in the most expensive business option they have insurance when you rent cars, so I assume they are getting around it, otherwise it is a cheap "service" to offer

I have also this bank the standard card , i want to ask you if you trust to keep a bigger amount of money inside! Is there any chance to freeze your money or to block you account?i ask you because i read some comments where people said that the account was blocked, for exemple i sell in ebay and also i buy old cars and resell to make some profit ,do you think that will be a problem if in the bank account will come money without any prove of income for exemple because i sell the cars as a private person i don't have a company

I am unable to open a N26 account as it is asking a resident permit with chip one. I recently arrived an got my Anmeldebestätigung but N26 only needs Resident permit with 12 months stay only. How am I supposed to get the Chip card initially.

You can transfer money from your Swedish bank account to your N26 account using IBAN. The N26 account starts with a DE. You can find it in the app.

N26 Veteran here - been using N26 as may main account since 2017 when they were called NUMBER26 - I love it. I you want a good honest bank, which will not try to rip you off with hidden fees and commisions at every step, and not hassle you with stupid beauracracy, N26 is the one.

I don't see any reason why you can't. I live in The Netherlands and I just opened an account recently. It is in English. Just go to the EU website.

N26 bank in Berlin - CRIMINAL - STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK! I used this bank for four years, with nothing but praise for them BUT THEN ! N26 bank confirmed to me on 19th Oct, 2022 that they had closed my account and that I had no access to my funds. I had submitted a transfer instruction in favour of my bank in the UK, which they initially acknowledged but then they claimed that they had found irregularities in the account. This was false, as my funds had been deposited by my Lawyer in Spain following the sale of my property there which he completed, acting as my Power of Attorney, with all due taxes etc paid and the whole transaction had been endorsed by the European Court at The Hague. I have requested details from N26 of what irregularities they had purported to have found but they are unable to do so, which is hardly surprising. The fluctuation in the exchange rate since my initial instruction has added a loss to me of more than €1800 which I would expect them to cover plus other bank charges, where I have had to access loans to fill the gap. They're aware that I am 84 years of age and the worry, stress and lack of sleep that they have caused me has had a serious effect on my health. This should also be compensated for. I reported the facts to BaFin (the so-called regulatory authorities in Germany) on four separate occasions between October and when they eventually replied in June, they turned out to be a waste of time Is this state aided theft? There are hundreds with the same problem.

A good question, not so easy to find financial indicators of N26. It is a startup. I think it is better to use it as additional account. I googled the financial indicators of DKB, the first link sent me to their site with information about assets, liabilities, number of clients, profit, etc. When I did it for N26 the document on their site only showed information about profit, rest remained a mystery for me.

What would happen if a sponsor from abroad, let's say from Dubai, would want to transfer a couple of millions on your N26 account or on any other bank account in Germany? Are the taxes high? Would be there investigations, would the account be blocked etc.?

They freeze the funds, ask you for explanation and then let them go. I would honestly not trust them with such large sums of transaction.
