Today was the Best bass fishing day this year! In this video I show and talk about which lure catches all these bass. I still can't believe how many bass I caught in a short time. I found them in the back of a creek feeding on shad. The water temperature is 53 degrees and I am happy the fish are starting to come shallow. Not only did I catch a bunch of largemouth bass, I also caught a huge white bass. It might be surprising to some of you that I am not using a red lure to catch these bass. Then again, there aren't any red shad swimming around.

Nice catch! Wow 17 inch White bass! I caught a 14 inch once in early spring and the game warden said they were catching big white bass all week .

That was a awesome day, I think that's why the Strike King Red Eye Shad is probably No.1 in the industry, and those lipless crankbaits cast a mile, even into the wind. That's how you christen a new reel, haha. Cool guest cameos.

I only found your channel a couple of months ago, Alex, which means I've been getting to binge-watch your older videos. Such a treat! You have a great knack for interesting, blather-free commentary, and your understated style of video editing is pitch-perfect. What a great day you had with those fat, healthy bass! I haven't caught anything on a lipless crank so far, but I find it's pretty fun just to chuck one out and feel it buzz while hauling it in. (Thanks for the tip about a 7.x:1 reel making that easier. That might go on my Christmas wish list...) I'd never even heard of white bass before seeing them in your videos. But Wikipedia tells me that their range extends as far north as Lake Erie, and I can't imagine that they wouldn't also find their way into Lake Ontario and the waters around it. I'll keep a look-out for them here in Toronto.

Awesome Vid! When the bass put on the feed bag there's very little you couldn't throw out there and catch fish with! But lipless cranks are tough to beat for sure! Here in Southern Wisconsin it'll be another six weeks at least until water hits 50 on a consistent basis. Bass season is also closed here until the new rules come into effect April 1st, which then we get to have a catch and release season until the first weekend in May.

One hell of a day right there man. And that white bass to boot! Freaking hog. I’m going crazy man. It snowed a few inches here again today. Every time we get a little warmup, it follows with a snowy week dropping those water temps back into the 30’s. I’m about to go nuts if I can’t catch some fish. Even the pan fish are turned off. They look at my gulp and throw it out of the water back to me and tell me to take a walk. Lol. It’s been rough! Anyway - awesome new reel did great for u. Congrats man.

Ok - I’m a mere 30 seconds into the video. That reel is $65 at Walmart. Not terribly cheap. I’ve checked them out for an upgrade on one of mine. Shows what kind of stuff I use to fish with lol. Whoever sent that to you is badass man. U have some of the best subscribers out there. Ok - back to the video.

Had my best day Bass fishing yesterday, only been trying FW the last 2 years. Got 7 LMB on a Gill colored chatterbait with a green pumkin black flake Zako Trailer in about 2 hours. They weren't monsters 1-1 1/2lb but its always fun catching a bunch of them on 1 lure.

Pretty soon it will be time to get out the Heddon Torpedo and fish it over and around the weeds and cover. When the bass hit them it looks like a submarine doing an emergency blow! Last spring I had one tail walk about 5 feet along the weed bed. Looking forward to some real exciting action this year (Hopefully). Good job Bud, Keep it realistic.
