Thank you Sam for what you do. I never cooked on the grill until I lost my husband he was the grill guy, watching you has taught me a lot. I not only can cook on the grill I'm making the best food I've ever made
Sam I just made your fried chicken recipe two nights ago, and my father in law won't stop asking me for the recipe and he wants me to make more this week for him. Now my wife and I cant wait to make this bourbon chicken. Thank you for all of the amazing recipes! Keep up all the good work!

My buddy made it and it was amazing. The sauce is the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever had. He just whipped up a batch yesterday. I’m going to start making it myself.
I have now assumed the position of BBQ master in my circle of friends because of this dish. Made it over 30 times. Compliments from everyone EVERY TIME! I make sure to send them to you for instruction. Thank you Sam. I Love your style!
Sam I love your channel. I cooked with the love of my life food from you. She died a couple of days ago and I am in horrible depressed I just wanted to personally thank you for your cooking channel and making good memory's for me and her. Please keep making more videos I feel extremely attached to your channel .
1967, Boot Camp, MCRD. Drill instructor LOVED to march at the rear quarter of the platoon and, as a commercial jet took off extremely nearby, he'd give the command, " 'toon, HALT." Only those within earshot would halt as the front half of the platoon would continue to march. That was his/their setup to send us to the sand pit, coarse gravel and sand area where they'd torture us with having to do calisthenics til we nearly passed out in the August heat. FUN!!! ;-)
Dude...omg...DUDE! I just made those tonight. Honestly, just finished my plate, and this is the best bbq chicken I have ever had. The 1st time I tried bourbon chicken was ar Underground Atlanta. I had not been able to find anything close to that til now. Live your best life and make this today, or tomorrow, or as soon as you can. Thank you Sam. You have helped me step up my cooking game
perfect timing. just made my quarantimes liquor run since i was running low and got several bottles of bourbon. time to drink i mean make some bourbon chicken. both?
I've been watching you over a year now and somehow just stumbled across this video. This year (2021) was the first year I was a father on Father's Day and the few mentions of it in this video made me smile. Happy cooking, brother 😎
"Juicy" 😆😆😆 You guys should do a cocktail episode! Like post up ingredients on the socials like a day or two before the episode goes live. And make it an interactive/follow along episode! I'd watch it! Cheers guys
i just made this today. I added red peppers and onions to the skewers and skipped the brown sugar in the sauce, and I grilled some green onions to top it off. Served over rice this was one of the tastiest dishes I've made this year.
“This is democracy manifest!” Reference: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XebF2cgmFmU.html - whenever I hear the word succulent now, I’m reminded of this 😂
Thank you! I've done BBQ chicken in very similar ways before, but I have not cut thighs and layered them with bacon before. That's the pure genius part.
I made these today...PHENOMENAL!! THANKS!! That with a mint julip for the total southern experience in New Jersey. In the rain in my gazebo with my wife.
Sam is truly awesome at cooking! Love your style. Very to the point and all about the cooking! He actually inspired me to take on the challenge of cooking food and sharing it with the world! Actually posting our first video tomorrow night! Kind of scared would love and appreciate some guidance/feedback.
@@allweareiscontent So our biggest concern has been in the editing. Trying to be interesting but also make the food the focus. We also follow "not another cooking show " and there show is very simple and raw.
Made this tonight for my wife’s birthday dinner and our pre-memorial celebration. It was a big hit!! We are so thankful for the work you, Zak & SB put into each episode. Please don’t change a thing about your presentation. Your colorful language is perfect & fits your personality nicely. No on tho the baconator tomorrow. Thank you again!! @@DobyDuke not bacteria that can make you really sick like that. There's a reason you practice good hygiene while cooking, it's so you don't get terminally ill! Get over being an idiot please.
Epic episode! These actually made me salivate! I'm stuck in a UK apartment atm with no outside space but I have a bag of chicken thighs in the freezer, bacon in the fridge and most of the makings for the sauce so I think tomorrow is going to be chicken and bacon with an awesome sauce for dinner! Thanks for educating us, entertaining us and inspiring us through these difficult times! Never stop being yourself, Sam, and you too Max, we all love you both to bits.
I have watched a lot of your cooking videos for a year now and RU-vid keeps suggesting them even tho I am not a subscriber. Your wit and cooking wisdom is very entertaining to me. I am a subscriber now.
@@bengt_axle everyone makes mistakes. Especially people cooking. Reshoot an entire video? Lol nope. These comments are just pathetic on every food video in existence.
@@BillHicks420 Yes, it's a divisive topping, and that's completely fine. There are sensible people that recognise that the fact that they don't like pineapple on pizza doesn't mean that it's an abomination. But there's a surprisingly large group of people who act as if the mere idea of pineapple on pizza is blasphemous and they are very vocal about it. These people are either insane, or they are faking their outrage to get attention.
I ordered some flat skewers and made the bourbon chicken after watching this! Love the channel and loved this recipe. Those flat skewers beat bamboo all day long!
Im really surprised that neither Max nor Sam caught the cross-contamination faux pas - Using the same brush/container of sauce on both the raw chicken & later the cooked chicken is like playing diahhreah roulette...C'mon Sam,..you're better than that,...
That’s exactly what I was gonna say...lol. You can’t baste raw chicken and keep dipping ,and say u can save the sauce for another day... This is an amazing recipe, will totally subscribe, but cross contamination is a real issue..IMO.
What do you mean? It was cooked on the side he brushed thats why he didn't put sauce on immediately, he cooked one side, then flipped and sauced it, then cooked second side and sauced that, the sauce never touched uncooked chicken
ya.. looks like it was even the same brush he used to oil the chicken before cooking. also i doubt he washed his hands during the whole process.. considering he was wearing a long sleeve shirt, a ring... and a watch during the whole video.
You guys aren't going to eat what he is making. The most is you can make his recipes to your high standers. His brush never touches the raw chicken, I had to rewatch cause I was thinking same thing. I am sure he washes his hands, I am tired of watching people wash their hands, so I am fine not seeing Sam watch his.
Sam.. you dipped the brush in the sauce, then touched it to the raw chicken over and over, then put that same brush and raw chicken dipped sauce over your cooked chicken before u ate it...... smfh
I just tried this. Wow! The bacon and chicken is so good together! I may have put a too much bourbon in my sauce, because I’m feeling a little sauced myself! But wowzer! That was delicious!
I will try this i will put tabasco for the spice, and maybe i should put pork and i will cut it small dice instead of using bacon, i really love the sauce you make, by the way i'm from the philippines
So, here we are and it's April 27, 2024. I watched someone else's video on bourbon chicken and whose video should appear on the side? Yep, yours. As I am already a subscriber, I knew I had to click on this and watch it (tbh, back in 2021, I was not a subscriber). As you all know, bacon makes everything better. And thick cut, even better than better. And I saw the red wax, so I knew you were using Maker's Mark. Terrific choice.
Sam you don’t need to loose weight!! You are not in bad shape at all, look at most people in a America. I think your good. Deff stay eating healthy so you can keep us with the funny entertainment.
Made this today with grilled corn. Was really easy & delicious. My other half is fairly petite & still ate two skewers & is now unable to remove herself from the couch.
Made this recipe tonight for the family. The sauce was fantastic and the chicken with bacon grilled together tasted amazing. Everyone loved it. Looking forward to the next recipe I’ll try!
I swear something about you just feels so right. Maybe it's because you and max remind me of my dad and I, maybe its because we're from San Diego, idk, but I live for these videos. 😂
When cooking, I always prefer using something that will taste better over something that will photograph better. The saying you eat with your eyes is almost true, until you're eating it. Then it doesn't matter how bad it looks. It only matters how stupendous it tastes.
I need a video that sam shows all the spice mixes i should make and store. He recommends so many but i cant remember which videos theyre on now that i finally got a lot of good spices
Just made this tonight ... I don't even have words! Wow ... packed with flavor and tenderness. Served with rice pilaf, corn and watermelon. Great beginning of Summer family meal!
Sam love your content but most of all I really appreciate the relationship you have with Max, it is truly something special.... and hilarious I might add
Best cooking show on RU-vid hands down! I’m constantly watching your videos for new ideas for the family. My wife and daughter love the recipes! Thanks Sam
I made this bbq sauce. Only difference is, I let it simmer on the stove for about 30 minutes. Then I used it in some baby backs. Huge hit with the family, they loved the spicy kick.
Sam I've never liked cooking, but since watching you I've tried some recipes and I'm really enjoying myself. And... and... my wife says she's handing the cooking over to me cause she has absolutely loved everything I've tried. Thank you for the inspiration! MACA!!
I tried to do the mix kinda what I saw Sam doing not really by direction....ended up with a total of 2 cups of bbq sauce. One bottle of normal bbq sauce I bought was 15oz which was exactly 1 cup measured. Tasted great. Also, if you don’t have ass skewers...I used two wooden ones in place
sam--me and my 10yr old son loved this episode. might make them this weekend. we also really like your episode with mean comments. we laughed about the guy calling you an asshat for ordering the wrong breakfast. lollers. keep up the good work. we really like your show.
