I think something that should be pointed out is how he doesn't just disappear from the show after Turbo. Despite not being the champion anymore the audience views him as one because he's still just as powerful and mentors the next generation. Every season starting from Turbo has Valt completely beat the new main character, showing the power gap between him and everyone else in the series. And when Valt DOES lose against the main antagonist he still becomes stronger than them by the next series. Basically all of what you said plus his relevancy in the series as a whole exceeds every other protagonist (albeit maybe because Burst has the most seasons lol)
Ash Ketchum and valt aoi have similar personalities. I miss them so much because they made my childhood happy and beautiful. Forever Beyblade burst and Pokemon.😢😢
i feel like peak mature valt aoi was definitely in the rise-surge era something abt him during those seasons made me like him even more than before he was instantly my favorite character cus i was never good at beyblade to the point where i didnt even know how to put my bey back together or set it in the launcher right 😭 my friends even noticed how much i acted like him as a kid when we were growing up so they even called me valt (funny bcus my best friend who had the same personality as shu was nicknamed shu by our group of friends) when i noticed my friends were getting better i started playing more by myself and eventually started winning more when i moved away from my old town thats when season 2 started so to me i saw this as my "evolution season" irl i moved to a new city and found people who played beyblade and even met up with my old friends to play with them too now that im ALSO graduating high school i realize how much valt means to me since literally it sounds corny but ive learned so much from him i still play with my beys and even found some friends who play with me when we hang out together but mostly i play by myself since my old friend group mostly stopped besides my best friend who we call shu crazy how when someone asks me who i look up to i tell them "i look up to someone from beyblade" and they just look at me confused but dont realize how much i learned from valt and how i've developed as a person just because of him😭😭
Man I love Valt Aoi, not only do I think he is the best protagonist in Beyblade, but also the best written character. He is a realistic take on a character who has just started working at something like a sport or game, and progressively improves, he's not just some prodigy who constantly wins, he struggles on his way to the top and even once he's become the best, he loses from time to time. I love how in later seasons he just has a powerful presence to him, but you know he is just the same old friendly Valt that we know and love.
Exactly that's why after evolution I didn't like the newer main character especially bel because being able to beat lui one of the best blades in the series without a problem is such lazy writing after evolution they constantly nerfed older characters which is the main reason I personally stopped watching the show
Real stretch calling him the best written character,he's the nicest character not the best written since if we're being honest is Aiger and it helps that he's pretty relatable This happened with every MC on the show except Bel True
@@ImAlwaysRighttttAiger is definitely not a better written character then vault, his whole gimmick was just a copy of red eye shu and the fact that we saw him win easily against prodigies early on in the series like Lui which is just bad writing 🤧
Sadly Yuma Was Handled A Bit Poorly Imo But Still Had His Growth And Moments As A Duellist. But Valt Was Just Perfect From Beginning To End I Also Feel Like He Had The Same Cocky Side Just like Tyson Had For A Good Portion Of Season 1 Of Burst.
Valt, what made him my favourite is he started as the underdog nooby and worked his way to the top.Not only that,he was there to pass the torch when the time came and guide the new generation when they needed it.
It’s so nice to see people appreciating burst. I grew on metal and at some time I used to be one of those Metal NPCs who thought metal was OG but after I watched turbo then evolution I changed my mind. Valt and Aiger are on the same level for me but Aiger is my favourite character. I’m so happy that Beyblade is coming back since I’m in the Beyblade fandom
Valt is my Goat for sure, I remember going back and watching the old series and enjoying them but after rewatching burst again, I knew for sure that valt is that guy for me
I stopped being into beyblades in 9th grade, and this is probably one of the first videos I watched for nostalgia. But I can totally sympathize with you AND Valt, it's so relatable that I felt really good understanding the meaning after the video. Thanks man!
I 100% agree with this video. And just to show no bias towards Burst, I grew up watching the Metal Saga when I was 8 in 2010 and was (and still am) a huge fan of Gingka, Pegasus, and the Metal Saga as a whole. It took me a while to watch Burst because I was so attached to Metal and was a strict fan on only Metal. However, a few months after Burst aired here I gave Burst and Valt a chance to see the new generation of Beyblade. I watched one episode and the rest is history. Episode after episode, battle after battle I found myself cheering and relating to Valt, Valkyrie, and the team. Seeing his progression and growth in those two seasons captivated me and when Shu lost to Lui, I was hurt, but when Valt lost and then lost his best friend and confidence in season two it was tough. But seeing him grow past all of that, and then watching him make it all the way to the final, getting his friend back, and taking the crown… gotta say (and I remember this specifically) when I saw Honcho cry after seeing Valt win, I cried that same way 😅. Valt will forever be an inspiration. W Valt W Valkyrie
Great analysis but imo my only gripe with this video is what happened to Shu in season 2 wasn’t as simple as him getting possessed by Spryzen, but rather his own interpretation of the reality of where he stands among the world stage and what he thinks he needed to do in order to rise further. It’s fair that you didn’t go into this bc it would have taken some time to explain and this video is about Valt and not Shu so it was good that you didn’t stray off topic. All in all though, this video really made me appreciate the amount of detail and effort that went into Valt’s story
Thank you and you're right about Shu he wasn't possessed. Could've maybe used a better term but it's whatever. I'm glad you enjoyed the video though :)
Honestly vault is one of the most realistic Protagonist in all beyblade series or anime in general since not only you could see his improvement as a blader but also as a person throughout the series season to season vault matured and became more calm and acts like a total big brother at the same time he became one of the most strongest blader within the show that's why vault is by fair the best Protagonist in beyblade since he embodies Maturity and Improvement.
I remember my friends not liking valt back in high school lol but I always thought he was my favorite, now seeing how much he’s grown is truly one of the most satisfying things ever
Valt aoi is my favourite anime character because he worked hard to improve his skills compare to other protagonist like gingka, Tyson ,zero they already have natural abilities to win all battle. But valt hitz different because he loses a lot and try to find his mistakes and finally he win , so valt aoi is my inspiration. Who are love valt Tape here 👇
Omg beyblade! I didn’t watch the older ones, only started watching it when Valt was the MC and man he was awesome! I don’t usually like upbeat characters like him but there was just smth captivating about him, and the found family, that made me unable to look away
Lets be honest the best antagonist in beyblade has to be Ryuga and the best protagonist has to be valt if these two were in the same show beyblade would have been legendary
When I heard you say the thing about Cho Z coming out in middle school, I could almost fully relate to that but I started earlier, heck even I am close to graduating high school
Gingka will always be my favorite because not only was Metal Fusion where I first started out, but he was also a guy who younger me at the time could look up to, and to an extent identify with. His strength and outlook on life was something I aspired to achieve myself, and being naturally talented myself in a wide variety of things, especially running where, back when I was competing, I was better than most of my peers just off of talent alone, I was also able to connect with him more. When I got back into Beyblade, Burst was in its second season. Initially, I was skeptical of Valt as well as the new system, which I viewed as cheap, plastic knock-off toys of the "real" Beyblade that I grew up with, which explode when you hit them too hard. Suffice it to say by the end of the series, I've come around to enjoy Burst just as much as MFB, and Valt himself ended up having a much bigger impact on me than I would've ever thought possible. I'll sure miss seeing him in action.
"Real Beyblade" is such a dumb, elitist mindset especially when the Metal Saga wasn't even the original series. It's like Yu-Gi-Oh with all it's different gens, it's a different spin (no pun intended) on the concept for each series. Not even Yu-Gi-Oh fans are this elitist and annoying with each series
@ashhabimran239 hey, he corrected his outlook and came around to be more open-minded. It's hard to accept change when you're attatched to something, especially when you grew up looking up to that something. Calling it an elitist mindset is a bit rude.
You just explained why Yuma from Yugioh Zexal is one of my favorite protaganists. Like Valt, he clearly doesn't know the game well, often relying on his friend Astral in the beginning (to which he really didn't like and would almost do the opposite of what he said). He also loses more than the previous yugioh protaganists in my opinion, and it isn't like he was just a prodigy from the start, he had to learn
Appreciate giving Burst a bit of spotlight. It's hard to say something positive about it without toxic Metal Saga fanboys getting triggered, and this is coming from someone who's favourite/main series is the Metal Saga. They're probably gonna show up on this video
Amazing video!! Bro just broke down my favorite beyblade character and childhood hero perfectly. Beyblade is such an impactful franchise to me and it’s nice to see people hype up burst since it doesn’t get as much attention as the older generations.
man amazing viedo, I love Valt since i was 12 and i am now 18 and still he is number 1 bey blade burst protagonist to me i mean his determination, his passion for bey blading, his relation with his friends(rantaro, shu, diago, wakiya, ken and others), his amazing relations with his partner valtreak still that moment when valtreak lowering valt's launcher and other resonance makes me emotional, and his behavior of not giving up never give in, his theme of from not knowing the fundamentals to legendary world champion wonder boy, he is not selfish and inspires others to become better in order to share amazing moments as his rivals and friends, like he has done for example aiger dante and huga, hikaro are inspired by him directly or indirectly, he never leaves any one behind he pulled his friend shu from his darkness, his amazing battles with valtreak and above all i love valt cuz he would never be upset and have fun no matter the situation is even shu, and silas and aiger destroyed valtreak and even he losses he learn from it and be victorious at the end. love for valt cuz he is the glorious bbb mcu.
Valt Aoi, the definition of pure dedication to your passion accumulating into success. A diving force of determination in my life and a character that made me strive to “battle above my league” because he always did
I am also about to graduate high school and indeed the lessons derived from Valt Aoi's character now resonate with me much more than they did back when I was younger. Ig its because as we grow older we realise the importance of hardwork and enjoyment. Unironically Valt has taught me more than any self help guru will ever be able to do so
I would say Gingka, but I’m a little biased as i grew up with metal fight, but Valt is definitely the best Burst protagonist. I like the more fantasy style of the Metal Fight Anime
I loved burst when I was younger, but after surge/sparking It just strayed WAY too far from the original season 1 sport aspect of the show. Valt was amazing in seasons 1-2 as he does mature while still being a kid. It took a while to get used to the protagonist changes throughout the seasons and I grew to like some of them but a lot of them didn't have time to develop and grow like valt. And I HATED how the title of being champion was just thrown around to other characters. Overall though Valt is easily the most developed character of show and it was great to see him grow up later throughout the seasons, great video man.
When i was 13 and first started playing rocket league, i just played it with friends a lot to have fun, then over months i started playing less for fun but to play to improve which actually has kept me hard stuck champion rank, ngl trying to play to win over having fun is worse but ofc playing just to have fun is good, but it wont get you to the top, if you want fun then you gotta combine the two
valt really shape my childhood cuz when you realize that this anime is not just about beyblade itself its more relatable to us and that what makes this anime worth to watch compare to the other anime and while watching this, this shit makes me that little inocent boy again watching valt feels like you just watching to your self.
I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! He started off with absolutely NO skill and was such a big baby (still loved him though) But eventually, he learned to take his anger/sadness and turn it into determination to win. He is such a goat, he is in fact my favorite Beyblade character. Awesome video dude, I have subscribed! 🔥
I mean this is why I like Valt as a character: he went from not being able to launch his bey into the stadium to becoming one of if not the most world-renowned blader to ever exist. He was able to apply his lessons and mentor/influence others thanks to his experience. Plus, he’s really modest and easily the most approachable of the legends! Easily my fav character in Burst, such a precious cinnamon roll.
I was wondering for years why I preferred Valt and the Burst series, and this video shed light on why I do now, also congrats on prepping for graduation
This issue is that Bird is getting more and more skilled, yet the anime and manga keep making excuses to have him lose, to the point where he loses to opponents with even less experience than him.
I also love Valt, especially compared to the others because as this man said, he's really the only one to start from the ABSOLUTE bottom up to become a legend/champion.😎💯💪
I'll graduate high school next year, I remember starting watching beyblade burst right around 4th grade and I remember seeing valt becoming the world champion during my first year in middle school.
im almost about to start six form basically last years of highschool and for me beyblade was my childhood i remember when i was 7 years old watching metal fusion the series has gone so far
What a great video(not just because Valt is my fav protagonist😂)This vid made me realize how my mindset towards YT relates to Valt’s mindset in S1-2😭 it started off as a fun hobby to me realizing that there’s competition but thankfully I found a great balance
As someone who watched Metal Saga at maybe 5 years old in 2011 I first watched Burst in 2016 my earliest memories where the team tournaments in Season 1. The biggest thing I liked about Burst compared to Metal is that it's competitive on all levels. No Blader is safe and if you are the Best you have at least 2 other Blader who are just as talented, hard working, resolved, and skilled as you waiting to beat you. In Metal Ryuga was literally unchallenged which is his whole personality and why we liked him. Even at the highest level of metal you only had 1 maybe 2 people who could only be beaten by each other or no one. Compare that to Burst where any given season you always have at least 3 Bladers who could be the best. Hell in Burst Evolution an former Undefeated World Champion Blader who quit competitive Blading in the past because it wasn't fun being the best and not having a challenge, but comes to the current Meta of Blading and now he's barely even top 5 in the Blading League
He's the #1 Blader in the world, The Legend of Legends and he earned that status through everything he did to get there. He's the world's top blader and he's more than earned the top spot. My favorite character.
Even if I grew up with OG, I find also Valt my favorite protagonist tied with Aiger and Tyson, I feel Valt more human and also develop from a rookie to a champion.
3:57 look at Hyuga and Hikaru's record XD Other than that, such a great video on retrospective about Valt! He's my tied favorite protagonist and character with Aiger next to Shu and Lui. I'd love to see more videos of different characters related to beyblade, more specificly burst. Speaking of which, Congratulations on your graduation! :D
Valt Aoi is my favorite protagonist of all of Beyblade Burst and the one who introduced me to the Beyblade franchise in general, his qualities and strengths are definitely very good more than his own weaknesses, he has shown that he is capable of overcoming any obstacle in order to demonstrate his potential to improve his game as one of the bladers who has been able to make the world of b Beyblade changes to be a more fun one and even though you are already the best in the world it does not mean that you stop evolving as time goes by, why Valt has not uploaded anything to his c head the fame of currently being the legend of legends that he is today, Valt definitely knows that there is more to Beyblade than winning but also knowing how to lose and learn from his mistakes to In order to honor his great love for the game, Valt is without a doubt one of the best characters that the Beyblade series has had and that has influenced others to also mature and grow as bladers and that makes others begin to open their minds to be able to evolve Valt is without a doubt one of the few bladers who changed the world of beyblade with his great love for the beyblade and above all Everything came to give his cause the true Beyblade.
As much as I like Aiga more, this is why I don’t fight on the quality of character arcs like Valt, and to use two Yugioh examples Joey from classic Duel monsters and Yuma the protagonist of Zexal, who has nearly The same arc with a different story and universe to back up the amazing base setup for a character
while I disagree with tyson being "talented" at the beginning yeah I pretty much agree with valt being the best mc in beyblade,we saw how he struggled and bypassed even after lots of problems, his buddies betrayed him yet he still stood up,and what makes him the best is that he doesn't lose his relevance after season 2 but be a legendary blader the new mcs wanna beat, and he changes alot of characters in the series, gingka is ass tbh and carried by the fact that ryuga is IN the series
Yeah talented was the wrong way to word it, my bad on that one. I think Gingka is cool but after the first season, I don't think he really developed much.
I was a freshman in high school when burst came out. By the time I graduated in 2020, burst was in the middle of it's last season if i remember correctly. Then they made the follow-up season with another character and then I was getting ready for Beyblade X. I bought the beys from Japan, so I've had beyblade X beys for over a year at this point. I believe that Beyblade X is trying to merge all 3 of the main protagonists from each generation. Multi would most likely embody Vault since she seems to have the most character development already. Bird would most likely represent pre season 1 Tyson, while X would fill Gingas role as the natural born leader that very rarely loses and inspires everyone around him to grow. That's how I view it anyway.
*wait a damn minute, TEN DIFFERENT PROTAGONISTS?!?!?!?!? I only knew of Tyson and Gingka until my younger siblings started watching and Valt became a thing. Who are these random 7 dudes!?!!*
This video sums up perfectly on how i feel about Valt. I confess at first i didn't like Valt and I thought he was going to be annoying for the rest of burst, but eventually he grew on me and became my favorite protagonist. And its mostly because the development he was given was realistic and refreshing. He was terrible at the game and he had to get better by working his way to the top and he did. He's definitely the best protagonist in all of beyblade. Great video! 👍
@@kernito_ow2444 typical Valt fan reading comprehension. The second you guys hear “Aiga” you crash out 💀 I never even said anything bad about Valt, move on somewhere. I’m a normal Valt fan glad I didn’t somehow turn out like ones like you.
@@JustGre3dBoth are my favs from burst series but I really started caring about beyblade in Evolution series so it’s valt for me. Really like aiger as well tho
your explanation about character developpement explains also why I prefer Yuma or Joey Wheeler in Yu Gi Oh, since they're not strong to begin with, and we see them improve again and again
While Tyson is my overall favourite protagonist of Beyblade. I love Valt equally because the reasons you mentioned and two with Valt we got a new type of characterization unlike other protagonists. He's competitive but he's supportive. From season three there's the passing the torch to next generation thing. Most of the main cast following the season 3 without Valt. Shu wouldn't exist either because of their rivalry
