Hola RU-vid and Tiktok Fam!
Finally! I have made the most anticipated and highly requested recipe of all my recipes!! My famous Birria post that went viral on Tiktok!! Again, I want to thank all of my Tiktok followers for making this video viral. My mom has always been known for making really good Birria for all of our special events. If anything, my mom needs all the credit for showing me how to make Birria! The Quesataco was an idea I got from our beautiful Ensenada, Baja Cal. Mx and decided to make it for my family at home.
Some of you have asked me how this started and let me just share how I started posting on Tiktok. My 10yr old boy introduced me to Tiktok. He said "mom we should make a funny video that is trending on Tiktok"... so we did! Then my daughter gave me the idea of posting my cooking recipes since I was already posting on IG. I started recording myself as fun, then my daughter offered to help me, then the unexpected happen. She said make your famous Birria. After we recorded that night I went to bed and woke up to my phone blowing up. I was literally in disbelief, my heart wanted to come out of my chest of excitement!! It becomes surreal when others where sharing my post on all social platforms and others asking to colab and sponsors! People recognizing me in public!?? OMG It feels like I am in a dream and SUPER grateful with all of you that have shown all your love and support!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Recipe:
6 lbs Beef Chuck roast (make sure it is bone-in it is so important)
20 California Chiles
5 Chile Puya/Chile Guagillo
2 Chile Pasilla
1 tbsp whole cumin
1/4 cup white vinegar
A pinch of Chile De Arbol (I used about 10)
1 tbsp dried oregano
small piece of fresh ginger
2 tbsp toast4ed sesame seeds
1 whole head of garlic
4 bay leaves
1 bunch of cilantro
1 large white onion, divided
