You skipped over perhaps the most important part of Isaac's growth. His conversation with the Captain while sailing. It wasn't the most interesting scene, but it was the turning point where he started considering how to live and grow instead of just destroying everything.
Loved the game from Nintendo BITD and LOVED this anime of the game. I miss watching this show. I had to unsubscribe from Netflix because they were raising their prices and we just couldn’t afford it. SMH ….and I’m missing out on Blue Eye Samurai 😩😤
Amazing character development. A long way from the cultural black character portrayed in media, that is constant discrimination and victimhood, or just a filler character for diversity points. The writer actually saw Isaac as a person and told his story, and didn't just use him as a political tool.
She’s ambiguously dark skinned. There’s arguments she’s black, indian, any dark ethnicity, or even just Japanese Gyaru. All arguments aside, Tite Kubo flat out never confirmed her ethnicity. So it’s a hard argument on all sides. That said Isaac here is also ambiguous in being the “best anime black character”. He’s most certainly black coming from an Egyptian muslim background. The ambiguity comes from the fact that Castlevania is a western production. So is this an anime?
@@NovumicSomeone can say that Ichigo or Aizen is Latino because they have paler skin. Since the author also never confirmed their ethnicities either. So we can all believe what we want
@@hexgp since when are latinos stereotyped as pale skin? Your criticism fails on all basis because not only is the stereotype you used nonsensical but also the two characters you named fits everything Japanese from their names, lives, and culture. Everything they live and breath is Japanese. So does Yoruichi, she lives an entirely Japanese life. The only reason why she’s ambiguous is entirely her skin color which is her one and only non-Japanese feature.
@@Novumic your argument is just because the author didn’t mention it, means we can’t confirm until the author confirm. So if I go by that argument it’s fair to say that there’s no disputing whether ichigo is Latino or not, and there are many pale skin Latino go out some more. Also Hueco Mundo is a Spanish word and clearly the author takes inspiration from another culture and there’s nothing wrong with that. What’s there to say that he gave Japanese names to black characters or other ethnicities. My point is if you go by the fact that the author hasn’t confirmed it so it can’t be true and that isn’t enough of a good argument hence the Latino comparison. Stop acting like the world is isolated and that you can’t include characters from different cultures even if your entire fictional story is based or inspired by one culture predominantly. You’re too fixated on everything being told by the author to assign identity. Next thing you’re gonna say is Killer Bee from Naruto is not black.
@Minxhino yeah the characters in nocturne aren't written like real people. MC runs away crying (I can get that, I guess) but never worries about the people he left with vampires for 3 days. Just chills in a bar. Pink Girl talks about oppression and poor being mistreated, but the people shown are all well dressed, and no one looks starving. A "show don't tell" fail. And paladin guy who's the only good guy in church who doesn't trust vampires sleeps with one first chance he gets. Fight scenes are cool, but that's about it.
@@justbenagain2291 Having trauma does that to someone. He just wanted to go away and then felt too ashamed to go back. And he does clearly worry about them. A lot of revolutionaries were wealthy. And people start rebelling before it comes so far that they are truly poor. Poor does not mean that you have to wear rags. Mizrak probably wanted information from Olrox. Their relationship is not yet fully explained. It really does not make you look good when you cannot even remember names as basic as Maria. Clearly you have not watched it.
@@Ninjaananas i watched the whole thing. Characters were just forgettable. I get trauma can make you run away. But make you come back after two days acting like “I’m so cool and smug” and not “oh gosh I’m so glad you’re still alive my b I dipped” or anything even close to along those lines? just feels alien from a character perspective. And I highly, HIGHLY doubt that gay knight guy is gonna have some big reveal like “haha THIS is why I REALLY slept with you!” To get info when it truly seems like the writers were just adhering to a hyper sexualized stereotype. And the vamp talking about how he lived all happy and peaceful before the HWITE MAN messed stuff up? He was an AZTEC they SACRIFICED people they had slaves of their own. Honestly just ridiculous through and through
