I bought a small Chanel bag in 1997, so I believe it's considered a vintage now. I wore that bag riding motorcycle, walked in the rain with it, gone to festivals with it crossbody, where it got sweat on it. The bag still looks like new!! I do store it in its original box after every use, but I think it's like you said, the quality went down when I compare it to the more recent models.

I use my *esluxy* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior.

*jklux* I have the Coach tabby 18 and wow that bag didn't transfer a bit of color, I even wore it in the rain with my dark denim jacket, keep in mind it was absolutely pouring and I put it on underneath my jacket Got wet, that was over 8 months ago, it's very sturdy and over a year it's still looking great, also the same light yellow color so you can easily match it with anything, even a jacket, when you wear It really pops when worn with dark clothes.

Absolutely loved watching this video!!! I also have a small Chanel classic flap (in caviar) with gold hardware and it’s a great bag but boy did I pay the 2023 price for it (£3,000 more than what it was in 2020 - should have bought it back then damn it!! *kicking myself* 😣I remember walking into the LV store last year on new Bond Street and spotted the Capucine bag in medium size in baby pink and I instantly fell in love but it was about £4,900 so I gave it a miss but I still think about it a year later. I may get it in another colour int he future it’s a truly beautiful bag. Absolutely LOVE both your YSL bag’s but esp the one towards the end of the video which you recommend to anyone looking to start their designer collection with a £2k budget in mind. Your collection is so dreamy 😍 Glad to know you can find good service at Chanel stores in London, bc my experience at Chanel Stockholm and Tokyo were not that good, especially the Swedish lady I got, which was so snobbish (seriously made me want to leave the store)… my best experience so far has been with Prada and I didn’t even buy anything bc they didn’t have the bag I wanted, but the SA was the most helpful and friendly!

I love my Celine bag but it is very delicate. If you are a bit rough with bags anything from ysl is more durable. I have a black sunset that has been through the ringer and still looks new.

Dear Freya, I had the same issue with the turning lock on my Chanel bag, and I just went in one of their stores and asked them to replace it. I know there is a small fee for the lock replacement, but after talking to the shop assistant she ended up doing it for free for me and it was quite quick as well. So you just need to get it replaced, and then it will look like brand new again 😊

I received an inheritance from my lovely father. Had a wallet full of cash. Went to "Chanel "in the city of Brisbane Australia. I was quite well dressed. The person out the front made it difficult for me to enter the store. Therefore did not purchase bag I loved but left there. Went down the street and purchased my Mini Cabriolet.... just love this car. It has taken me places that the handbag would have been unable to. 😂

Hey, you should let them know about the YSL hobo bag. My brother bought a designer coat and it faded or something. It was very very difficult to get a refund I think they said they will only part refund him (something along those lines) but he tried his best and that's all they could do for him. Always worth asking.

Hearing your comments about the Chanel double flap has unlocked a new fear with mine 🙃 I’ve had mine for a similar amount of time but that has not happened to mine. I heard that a lot of people started to see issues with leather/hardware on their bags from hand sanitizer covered hands constantly touching the bag. Do you think that could be why? I’d like to think they’re better quality than that

I love how honest you are about everything. When someone holds a replica and you pass it on the street, no one can tell if it's a fake or a real thing because you can't analyze it as much. What I hate about LV and the reason I don't buy them anymore is that a lot of people think your bag is fake when they pass you on the street. This is very annoying. One time, a woman came up to me and asked me if my bag was "real." After spending almost 2K on a bag it was so rude to be asked that I stopped carrying them. Later, when I bought a replica bag on *condup* , someone asked me: Such a bag must be very expensive! Don't mention how happy I am in my heart
