Really loved all the bayliner videos. Took my new 2020 Bayliner Element e18 out yesterday. It has a 90 on the back and did a lot of upgrades you suggested. I did get the flooring you recommended and love it. The 4 little pieces for the top were a little big but made them work and looks real good. The boat handled awesome and with 4 adults in the boat the 90 motor was more than enough power. The engine is so quiet and you can hear the stereo really good when cruising. My last boat had an 3.0 Mercury inboard motor and it was pretty loud. Boat is very stable with so much room and the cushions are very comfortable. I really like not having a window and having that open view. My boat looks pretty much like yours except I got the grey flooring. Only thing I want to do next time is leave the center cushion that’s in front of the motor out. It just gets in the way. Also I took all the stickers off like you did. Once again Thank You for all the videos. Learned a lot. Looking for your next boat videos!!
Brian Cantu hey thanks! U sound pretty much dead on with everything, we loved all those things as well, even that rear seat being removed makes a huge difference in room. Glad to hear the 90 horse is working for ya, they are sooo quite. It was a hard boat to get rid of! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for all the cool tips on the e16, learned a lot from you. Your videos helped me & my wife get our 2019 e16😂. So glad you’re looking at a bigger boat. It’s all about investing in building memories with your family out on the water. Look forward to your drone shots of your boating adventures.
Nice, I am in the process of trading my Element in towards a new Yamaha Jet boat 195S. Like you, we loved it but it is time for a bigger boat with more options. Looking forward to seeing what you get next.
Greg Carleton thanks! Hope ya get what your after, seems that boats are hard to come by due to the pandemic and factorys shutdown/delayed. We have looked st a couple yamaha’s also. There are a lot of choices for sure!
hey thanks for watching! it is a great all around first starter boat, main tip i can say is just take your time, be patient and dont let anyone rush you. that to me is the number one reason bad things happen to a boat haha. you cant go wrong with the element series! good luck and hope you get one soon!
Interesting how this vid just popped up. I just bought the Element e18 w/ 90 4S OB and getting ready to take it out for the first time.. any tips on putting it in and taking it out of the water? Also noticed your from MO...Lake of the Ozarks here 😀 Thanks!
are you asking about loading the boat on the trailer during rough water? if so, i found that leaving more bunk out of the water helps a ton. for me i back the trailer in but still have some wheel fenders showing out of water, this way the boat can catch the bunks better/sooner. then wench it on. all boat ramps are different, but if you watch my "memorial day weekend 2019" vid you can see the loading at 2:51 or so. smooth water, rough, or even side current and this has worked, judging your drift just takes practice. also, another great idea i have done in the past is buy trailer guides that mount on the end sides of the trailer, they help keep the boat centered as well and are pretty cheap!
I live in south Florida... never owned a boat before ... this would be my first .. 2018 .. same boat but smaller hp I think its 60... She is selling for 12k... Great condition .. What do u think should u buy for the ocean?
AB SuperUser777 i looked at them yes...but the price point was to good on the bayliner. I am all about nice boats but i didnt want to pay for a brand name. This boat really held up well for is!

Joel Solsrud sounds like it would be a good set up for it. I cant remember if the equinox is a 4 cylinder or a 6..but the element is a great boat to tow with a smaller vehicle. Its pretty light!
@@midwestbuilds it's only a 4 cylinder but I don't ever plan on getting over 25 MPH. Biggest thing I'm worried about is the landing but it's not steep at all.
yea, sounds like it would be ok being that it isnt steep...a steep ramp that is wet is a bad mix...but sounds like you have a good plan! Hope you get one and can get out on the water!
You mentioned the motor. I couldn't tell which motor you had. Did you have the 90hp or the 115hp? I'm thinking of getting this boat and I was wondering if the 90 is fine or do I need to go with the 115?
Mendy Furst ive heard of some doing so, but if ur a first timer then i would stay away from it. A little to small and very close attention has to be paid to water and weather conditions around the ocean. Inland waters and lakes it is great! A good first time boater learner
Every boat is going to be different based off the options it has. A great starting point that i have used is NADA boat values and then go up from there!
I have spoke with a lot of people who use them down around Florida. They seem to work good for them, but u will probably want a longer version such as the 21 footer for rough water. These motors have a easy flush port for a hose also
Very easy to ski, tube, & wakeboard. I ran 3 adults & 1 teen while i wakeboarded on the back. Never had any issues and i didnt have to full trottle to get up. The 75hp does well!
@@codyw4022 ur fine, and im not sure. Always just pulled one at a time. There are lots of back and forth opinions on pulling from the factor arch. I never had any issues but a person may run into some with more than one person. If your wanting more ppl like that id recommend moving up to the e18 or e21 that comes with the 115 hp engine
Matthew Flips the boats value held pretty decent, not much lost on the price vs its age. I was pretty happy there, the money lost is the investment for accessories (flooring, speakers, trim tabs, etc...) which is pretty normal with anything i guess. Im not sure how the larger models would hold value, the 18 to 21 footers seem pricy if u plan to resale or finance for longer periods
@@c19commander44 everyone has opinions. Ive had them all and i will never own another inboard/outboard. For many reasons such as maintenance, the huge prop and outdrive hanging off the bavk, etc…i am however hooked on the inboard jet bosts like our last yamaha. Just amazing! But outboards are usually diy maintenance, no worries of freezing up in winter, and u always know where the engine is haha (direction and tilt) cause u can see it. But everyone has their likes!
