Grace- showered, got ready for the day, went down had tens rounds of breakfast, done some work which apparently took forever, had a long walk, came back , packed and is waiting for 11am. Don’t know why always get surprised when fits all the stuff in and then goes oh it’s ten now or eleven 😮😂
i dont enjoy christmas because of childhood memories but these videos help me every year to start feeling more joy around the holidays again so thank you so much
I completely understand you, but now you are the one in charge and you have the power to make Christmas the most amazing time of the year! Please don’t let those past experiences stop you from living your best life from now on. Trust me I’ve been there Xx the future is there to be made by YOU. ☮️ & ❤️ xx
My sister also struggled with losing hair after having Covid, but it’s more like hair shedding than actual hair loss. It was incredibly traumatic seeing her hair fall off in actual handfuls but you just have to wait it out because it eventually stops and starts growing back. ❤️☺️
I have hair loss from medication I have to take and I’ve found these things helpful - biotin supplements (just generic biotin is fine), using a detangling spray when you brush your wet hair so you don’t pull additional hair out with over enthusiastic brushing knots out, a detangling brush is sooo much better than a normal brush as they are so gentle, using a silk pillowcase when you sleep to help with breakage at night and finally, just being careful when you tie your hair up…not too tight and to help with breakage and pulling, I use the Invisibobble curly-type bands that don’t get stuck. I hope this might help a little bit xx
Grace, smell evokes the most emotional connections! In psychology we just learned the reason why. Smell is the only sense that goes to the prefrontal cortex instead of the thalamus, forming emotional connections!! Merry Christmas 🎄
To Grace and anyone who sees this: I love collagen supplement for hair loss. Rosemary water you can make and spray on scalp or Rosemary essential oil with some type of carrier oil as a pre-treatment before washing your hair. Also of course, finding the right products depending on your hair texture, scalp type and hair porosity/hair elasticity. Hair loss is upsetting, so I hope this helps. ❤
Thank you for the advice about Rosemary essential oil for hair loss ~ I’m going to ask my carer to get me some ~ I’m losing so much anything is worth a try Xxx Xxx
@@louisewhite9152 Girl no problem. Hopefully it works, don't forget to mix it in with a carrier oil, whatever works for hair/scalp type. Or you can put it in your shampoo if you don't want to do a pre-treatment, I'm losing a lot of hair too unfortunately. Best of luck!
Hi, I also have been losing hair like crazy for more than 6 months now. I‘m surprised I still have hair left because whole strands have been falling out… Went to the Doc already but couldn’t find anything wrong :( I‘m really desperate. What is a carrier oil (I’m not English)?
@@annika_27 Your English is very good. A carrier oil are oils used to dilute essential oils and “carry” them to your skin, because you cannot put essential oils directly on your skin due to the high concentration that could effect the skin. Carrier oils can break up the concentration, then they are easier to put on the skin.
Every once in awhile, I get a whiff of my elementary school cafeteria scents. It’s quite literally my favorite life moments, since it was 35 years ago lolol.
Had a bad day and then someone was unkind to me but this has cheered me up. Thanks for doing vlogmas, Grace :) Video idea: making up your own gingerbread kits from scratch for your friends!
Loving vlogmas. Keeping me in the festive mood. That hotel looked incredible. Think the problem with your mince pies was using puff pastry, though, grack! Made that mistake before! I always use shortcrust for the bottom. But maybe puff can work too.
Omg you taking that wine in your suitcase reminded me of Friends episode when Ross and Chandler stay at the hotel and Ross takes everything he can hahahahaha love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Grace do you definitely need a gingerbread house kit. You can just make the dough yourself and use a template online for the house shape. Cupcake Jemma on RU-vid has a great one ☺️
I love you and your family. You give me extra Christmas spirit! I don't care what your content is just as long as we see Banksy. I am not a cat person but I am wild about your kitty!
Visited Brighton with my daughter (who introduced me you you 🥰) in October university visiting and we stayed at The Grand; agree that that breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve ever partaken of in the Uk. Love your content Grace; big fan of your Dad’s too, love your relationship x
Hey Grace! For hair loss I recommend using satin scrunchies to tie up hair as they put less tension on the hair and reduce breakage + reducing any tight hair styles like high ponytails etc. I love Jamaican Black Castor Oil for hair strength, I use it as a pre-shampoo. Also use a shampoo/conditioner with no sulfates as these can dry out hair and cause breakage. I'd also really recommend the Tangle Teezer Wet Detangler Brush. Oh. My. God. Game changer. It puts 0 tension on your hair whilst you brush it and I've noticed I pull out less hair while using it (& I brush hair wet because mine is curly). I also really like to incorporate products with protein (e.g. a deep conditioning mask with protein) because this can help with re-building the bonds in the hair. Speaking of bond building, the Curlsmith Bond Salve is like Olaplex but more hydrating and better value for money! Finally, healthy hair starts at the scalp so make sure you are really thoroughly clarifying your hair maybe once every two weeks. You can use a scalp massager brush or a scalp clarifying kit (Flora & Curl have a variety of products in their scalp range, Umberto Giannini also have two really good scalp scrubs and its often on a deal) and this will hopefully help revitalise and strengthen the hair. The key is consistency with these types of hair treatments/changes in routine :)
Apparently your hair falls out when your body has been through a lot of stress, from illness or just general worry. It's just because your body is prioritising getting you better, and your hair growth is the last priority so it falls out temporarily. It'll grow back, don't worry!
Starbucks usually has hot chocolate stir spoons. Grace, would it be possible to show more of the grocery stores, or is it not allowed? So different from Canadian ones. Would love to see more of the products, fresh and boxed.
grace have you tried keeping your hair in a bonnet while you sleep? i was getting a lot of breakage/fall-out and its almost entirely stopped since i started protecting my hair at night. scalp treatments might also help encourage hair growth
epilator - brace for the pain and go! i used to epilate basically everything before i got an IPL, but you just have to pull the skin tight and go against the hair growth? so ie - up your legs. make sure your hair isnt too long though to get the best grip. also best not to use any creams before hand, you could soak in a warm bath before to open your pores too if you prefer! its weird but i use talc before on my under arms to remove all moisture xD and go slow over the area, which of course hurts, but seriously, the pain went away the more and more i did it! good luck!
FOR HAIR LOSS: boil rosemary and spray it in your hair when you shower/after you wash your hair . Some people rinse it out, but it works best for me when I keep it in!
For hair loss use the Wet Brush Go Green Biodegradable detangler (different from normal wet brush), it’s fab, has helped my hair so much. Loving your Vlogmas. Hope you get to NY and Paris soon
I think if you prick the puff pastry with a fork, it prevents it from puffing up so much and can therefore be used for the base (obviously don't prick the pastry going on the top)
Tip for hair loss: new (red one with cinnamon) shampoo bar from Lush. I suffer from hair loss because of PCOS and it has worked for me but also for other friends struggling with hair loss. The only thing is that it’s strips the dye from your hair so be careful with that.
Hi Grack ~ I really enjoying your vlogmas ~ the hotel looked amazing ~ I had covid and also sepsis in the summer ~ I am also experiencing hair loss my hair is about 2 inches shorter than yours ,it’s so bad now the thought of it makes me want a really short haircut ~ please take care and stay safe ~ Sending love and hugs Xxx Xxx
I lost half the volume of my hair,so know exactly how you feel,I would suggest a thickening shampoo,L'Oréal Elvive do one in a blue plastic bottle,I read somewhere that your own urine works but I would not put pee in my hair 😳 keep your hair trimmed also, check out vitamins for hair and nail strength,Happy Christmas Grack!
B complex vitamins for your hair. I notice the most difference from brewers yeast, but it will make it darker and curler as well, whereas a formulated B complex doesn't so much.
Grace you gotta treat yourself and try some period pants! Honestly I would never go back to my old feminine hygiene products again- seeing your bathroom drawers was a blast from the past for me
Hey Grace, if u wash your hair daily maybe cut bk on that given that excessive washing of brittle hair makes it worst. Also try to use more natural based hair products. Happy holidays 😇
I wouldn't recommend that you go paris by yourself. the food is very very expensive as in twice the uk price and some of the areas are to be a bit weary wondering alone. especially not knowing your way around or were your walking into.
Be careful of the shampoos you use, most of the commecials ones have harsh chemicals in it, try to use the most clean and natural shampoos you can find. I wash my hair with Ghassoul Clay (I know it sounds weird) but believe me my hair is now thick like when i was younger. Also don't wash you hair everyday because stripping the natural oils of you hair everyday will make them fall off overtime. Take care! xx
