Im Eritrean. I used to live in Sudan. There is no word that can explain how kind and welcoming the Sudani people are especially for the Eritrean people. Thanks for this amazing video!

This is called Asida made from maize flour or wheat , actually we are one people I am from South Sudan and I considered north Sudan to be my country too. I pray 🙏🏿 for peace in the whole country Sudan even though we go through trials and tribulation, inshallah it will pass too. One love much love and peace ✌🏿.

Eating Sudanese food with hand is beautiful but you have to pay attention to few points: *eat with the tip of your finger & don't insert your fingers deep into the dish when scouping the molah. * don't insert your fingers into your mouth, use the tips of your fingers. *do not suck your fingers while you are eating. You can do it @ the end. *don't lean into the dish you're eating from, so as not to drop anything from your fingers/mouth.

Hi Yeves, I've been watching all your videos since the Lebanon trip. I never expected that you'll visit Sudan. But you actually did. And I'm happy to see that. I'm from Darfur myself, my father migrated in the 80s. The situation in Darfur is tragic and people are living in horrible conditions. But i feel like they're happier with their life than us city folks. Gamer is such a nice guy, his family too. They work hard, and the dishes that he showed you brought good memories to me. This is my favorite video on the channel so far. Thank you for attempting what most won't dare do!

I was so angry as a Sudanese when the minibus driver wanted to make you pay double the price for the tricycle. I'm so glad that you met Gamar. He is an example of the normal Sudanese people who will show you hospitality even if they are living in bad conditions. I hope things get better for everyone soon.

It was interesting seeing what his family does in that area and he was showing you around. It was clever his dad was growing sugar cane and the other various things he does. Keep them coming.

It's not about people from Darfur not getting support from government ,,,no one getting no thing, I am from Khartoum state and my people getting absolutely no thing. If you are not with them you are against them. Welcome to Sudan and happy to see our Darfuri brother taking care of you.

I have some much respect to your friend and his family on how they work together and keep making progress with more creature conforts to make their lives easier. I know you keep gaining more of an appreciation of the opportunities that many of us have in both Europe and the US. I can't tell how much I appreciate you sharing this journey of yours. Truly eye opening..I myself have eaten in similar places with my travels but you have taken it to a different level. I had a roommate from Gana many many years ago he actually owned the house and never put the a/c on. Georgia summers can reach 100 degrees too. I met a man from Sudan. He was so generous too, to share his food with me. They give all they have. I wonder if that was the children's teacher you met on the bus. Eagerly await your next video.
