@@samaustin8690 i didnt say a word that implies canned tomatoes are bad. I just have easier access to fresh ingredients and i have always used them, hence i looked for a recipe that doesnt use canned, which will require extra effort to purchase
@@user-bp8uk9tu4e I didn’t imagine that scenario. To me it read like you were saying “Everyone else is getting it wrong, finally a recipe that uses fresh tomatoes”. Sorry for misunderstanding. You’re universes better than me though, I’ve never made the dish and only have tomato sauce on hand. Hoping it turns out edible.
@@Arizzu_98 nope just tomatos spices and eggs! It's honestly just a western culture thing to put cheese or other dairy products int everyting you make. Fun fact every person on this plant is lactose intolerant, our bodies arent evolved enough to digest lactose properly, some of us simply handle it better with less severe reactions. But all of us should be avoiding animal lactose as much as possible and honestly once you cut back on how often you're using it you kind realize it takes away from a lot of dishes rather than adding anything good to it 🤷🏻♀️
As an Algerian we make this for lunch not for breakfast 😂 but we put onion like a lot of onions and sometimes with a bit potatoes and it's like traditional summer dish in Algeria ❤ We call it "chakchouka "
I am Mexican and we call the Huevos Rancheros en Ahogada .. Love Them for breakfast also my favorite Saturday breakfast dish . Thanks for sharing😊🥰. Also reminds me of my Mom 🥰
I often make this for my lunch when I don't have a lot in the fridge but still want something nice... I like to add canned sausages too for an extra protein. I didn't know it was a breakfast recipe though lol
I'm always so happy when my mom's home and not at work because those are the days she makes shakshouka! It's one of my favorite meals she cooks and I love helping her with it))
It’s one of the most heart recipes. I love it. And I always remember waking up to my grandma making this, potato’s, some Zatar cucumber and olives. Perfect breakfast!
Finally someone that doesnt use crushed tomatoes, it pains me when ppl do that, it really does. these ppl will never experience the best flavours of shakshuka
Instead of cayenne, red pepper flakes add a nice touch. FYI … you don’t have to spell out Tablespoon or teaspoon or cup. T. or t. or c. are sufficient. That’s universal. Makes ur recipe page look easier too. Your welcome. 👍
@@Bddz01 there goes the angry comments as soon as Israel is mentioned. I support Palestine but no need to bring this to every Israel mentioned comment. They aren’t the ones attacking, it's the gov andthe military even though most of them are kinda racist
I want on RU-vid to specifically find this recipe and so glad that I found it because I actually have all the ingredients this time and really excited to to know what it's like
I actually discovered this dish through a game (FFXIV) and been looking all sorta recipes to make this dish, not a lotta bread at home but shakshouka with rice is also pretty dang good
this is so close with the way i make banh mi chao, a viet dish in my family, the sauce is almost the same! But normally we will put in some more ingredients such as pate, some sausages, french fries or steak. Perfect for breakfast and lunch.
