My latest strat is Magyar archer rush and switch to light cav easily with their bonus. People expect the scout rush with their bonus, so the archer opening throws them off, and they hopefully overcommit to skirms in response to the surprise. Then, the light cav easily clean up the skirms and boom, you have map control.

Plus, since Mags like to get to the HCA/Hussar late game comp, early archer techs and ranges aren't wasted resources since you'll be transitioning to CA anyway.

thank you! but, why do you place your mill so far apart from berries? There is almos no colliding with few vills on berries, plus, I've never seen a pro build a mill like that 11

It’s something i’ve always done. Try and leave a 1 tile gap so i can quick wall vills in if needed. Survivalist advises to do that too i think

This got me to finally try Britons and after a few losses I made it work! I played it with a castle drop to follow up the Feudal aggression. I don’t know if that is good in higher elo but for around 900 it was a winner. Mixing in scouts to clean up the skirms was also a good tip, thanks.

@@25.nguyenquangkhai41 I think we lack aggression and speeeed. Im always too slow to rush the ai, then they get ahead. Even if I manage to out boom them I lose to poor unit comp hahaha hardest AI peace of cake

Hi, so I tried this build several times, and I am having difficulties against scout rush civs with eco bonus, for example Franks. They do 18 pop up, I do 18 pop up. This build is very food heavy, so by the time I have 3 archers ready to go I can either have fletching or spearman or TC idle (had just few secs of TC idle in dark). If I have fletching I can do more damage to their eco but by the time I arrive they have 3 or 4 scouts, including starter, and I just lose with 3 arches. If I add spear and even manage to get fletching, it depends. If they attack me because they are not on their way to me yet, its fine. If they instead go for me, we start trading and it gets very messy. My eco is hurt, their eco is hurt but eventually they usually win because of mobility. I am in no way saying this is a bad build, probably my execution is bad. Just that for beginners or maybe even intermediate a bit more vills before clicking up is usually cleaner. If I play 21 pop 2 ranges I can usually get a deer in, defend their firs rush better (easily affordable 2, 3 spear plus army home), and after that going fwd with more numbers, fletching, spear and their army broken. What am I doing wrong?

I don’t know mate. Haven’t looked at this build since i made it but i know it would have been tested until about 30 minutes in game, multiple times as i always check that they work consistently

no, not in this build. i added that to the end of the title and mention it at the very start of the video :) obviously, it helps if you do push deer but it's very noob friendly.

A switch to Cav in Castle age is a nice touch. Throws them off as your Brits.

Yes, I like scouts, but it's a little extra cost with cav. extra ville on gold and upgrade to armour gives a stronger push, and it's unexpected. Ok on Arabia but great on highlands.
